What do you people out there, no matter what you do, feel that a good flashpoint mission should make the player feel like? I think it should make a player feel refreshed, satisfied, and ready to take on the challenges of the real world again.

I'll start with mine in no particular order: Islands: Ichkeria (Chechnya), Mungari, Normandy (all versions so far), Ia Drang, SEB Ilo, McNools Pacific Island, and Afghanistan by CAT_SH*T_ONE (everything else...that i've seen, in my opinion wasn't very realistic in terms of one of but not necessarily all of commerce issues, power and utilities, transportation issues, habitation, and economy and the layout will be fictional as a result. Not enough homework put into the island makes it seem that then it doesn't get on my list. Reality is a big point for me. I'll actually sit and look at the island and ask myself, could this be real, like in real life?) Units: HYK modern U.S. infantry, BAS, Marine Assault Pack (awesome russian units and javelin actually takes skill to use), Phil Commando's civillians work and other works, more to come that haven't been released yet im sure so this game is going to have a cozy place on my hard drive till then and so long as i can edit my own missions, much later than that too. My kids are going to learn combat from this game hopefully and learn an important lesson about human lives. Vehicles: BAS, Fischkopps work, Combat!, Maac and Marfy's works, I've heard of Sigmas works but haven't had a chance to get into it and with my current project that chance won't come any time soon. Again Phil Commando. special thanks go out to people who produce effects packs like CAT does and to those who make the objects, dogs, and animals too. I'd also like to say that if there is an addon out there which you'd like to see used more please say so, id gladly suit your needs as a mission editor. I personally would like to see the ICBM addon used, perhaps the civillian fishing boats, nothing else i can think of off the top. What about you? Sadly: alot of people are starting to get to where they don't like using addons, like some clans only restrict to using whats in their pack, or stuff like that and the enthusiasm is high when they come out but then its like theres barely enough missions for them. So I'm off to make the addon makers happy and edit missions showing off their nice work.

What if there were a directory of mission editors, who have nothing to do, you could just look them up on a list, email them and say hey, we could use some help would you like to help us? Â It gives them more freedom so they're not totally entitled to one team specifically. Â Also, people contacting them lets them know the community needs them or even somebody needs their assistance. Â The way it stands, these projects pop up with openings in the recruitment depot for ofpec, but who's going to keep on checking that just for the ability to be told what to do and not get paid? Â No motivation in looking up a job to do now is there? Â It's a flawed system. Â It's more motivating if the MISSION EDITOR is contacted if you ask me. Â Their confidence and motivation grows from that circumstance and they'll feel good about wanting to help someone........ who's already helped them just from that boost in confidence of being asked to help out. Â If it all works out, there will be an increase in missions for ofp, as well as creativity,and the mission editors will now be able to negotiate. Maybe there could also be something under their name that they put in as far as experience goes or a particular style they enjoy the most.

People want missions but, lets ask the people. Â In your words, what type of scenario do you want made? Â

Lets not do a what if. Â I think ofp2 should be two fictional armies fighting over a fictional piece of land all set in the future. Â If its not like killzone or ace combat 5 then I won't pay for it but I'll keep my eye out for addons of that nature. Â Once they start coming out I will pay for it. Â Reason being, we're all eager to glorify our countries with all these unused addons but the fact is we just keep on glorifying war. My name is my name and right now I'm working on a multiplayer campaign called "...Under No Circumstances!"  You play the role of a Green Beret sent into Nogova under the pretense of a routine evacuation of five college students  when you witness for yourself the atrocities that General Gubas forces, an ally of the united states, is carrying out and decide to do something about it and influence the chain of command that something should be done.  Kind of like tears of the sun.  I was going to use the tears of the sun seals but they have no backpacks and to witness atrocities you really gotta carry a sack full of days worth of gear, which the tears of the sun seals don't have.  There is a backpack addon by andy I could use, but I decided not to even do that.  I went with green berets from the HYK US Forces pack also known to you guys as the SF.  Mainly because Nogova has lots of climates and so does the HYK pack has lots of camos.  If I were going to do mungari I'd use that andy backpack addon and the TOS seals but too late.  It's been keeping me pretty busy so far, but I am a classified schizophrenic who lives with my mom and I got lots of time on my hands to do this stuff when I'm not picking up or doing whatever else I feel like. What missions are you guys up to? Do you have any questions about my campaign?

i am thinking up a script that will go with a voice file that you can have an entire squad of soldiers on activation start hollering and screaming their war cry when the battle starts. If you'd like to help please message me mr. scriptor. thank you.

Over on Gamespot he says there are things you can express in a game you can't in a movie and that it'd have to be a totally different story.  I think its a smart move that he not sell the rights, and if he feels that way that he never sells the rights.  Thats like making a "monopoly" movie based off the game.  I've seen things like that happen, "Jumanji", go wrong.  I say smart move.

A simple test in modern strategy. Ready? Here goes. Theres this cat in my neighborhood beating people up, specifically my friends. Just the black ones though, and he's white. He raps and everything so he's a snake. I'm at the mall one day and come across this enyce jogging suit. I think it'd suit me as a fighting suit. So I buy it at the ninety dollar price tag. I think it was. I had the money so I did it. Then I went hunting. No sign. Came home my brother is giving me flack on some imaginary psychotic ....stuff. I'm like go away, shut up, we got a kitchen and a living room for him to go away to but he wants to bug me in the computer room about conspiracies towards his life n all this crap. I told him the keys to figuring that crap out, im not his fighter. So he gets frustrated and I stand up and say go away I'm sick of hearing you. He sits at the kitchen table i walk away. He continues again, I'm like returning like leave me alone. Its night time and i had no money left, no friends house to go. I really was into the research I was doing too. I had to repetitively return and tell him shut up, from the other room, so i began to walk over and shake his head as an intimidation move. He said "don't do that again." I wasn't intimidated. After a few rounds of daring and shaking he shot up from his seat and lunged at me and i gave him a blow to the chest. He stood shocked for a few seconds and I stood angry. Then he walked off like a little baby to go run to the neighbor. This is my older brother , long story short the cops come get me and im in a mental institution with my fighting suit on. Some guy gets all weird on me, then im sent to another. They very trickily suggest to me to remove my suit, like, "you don't want to wear that here, so we have scrubs for you" which were optional but they didn't present it that way. I leave the hospital days later and they can't come up with the suit. The city was Mesa Arizona, the hospital was Desert Vista. What's my next move for all you tacticians out there?

Speaking as a 23 year old, I ignore them. They ain't helping me out yet.

I liked the Iranian President's statement. Â Liberal democracy is bad and we should focus on the super powers. Â I thought that news reel helped out alot. Â It pointed out two key phrases "liberal democracy" or left wing thinking, which I find to be bad, and "super powers" because they are the ones going in there with the tanks and choppers. Â We should keep our eyes on these two phrases. Â Both should be observed when recognized like, "thats liberal democracy" or take the super powers into account as well. Â There are two sides to every story, really and its often the super powers who get overlooked or not judged at all as possibly being wrong.

Why they always gotta fight over there, man? Why can't they just chill? Do they really have to fight?

If it was a communication breakdown, then they should have had that figured out before they stepped into combat, or whoever put them there should have made sure. Â I guess they don't choose that finely. Â They probably just go first battallion is going in, and then you end up getting a monkey wrench in the machine and the machine falls breaks down. Â Like some guy always talking over everyone else with stupid information. Â There's always one guy who has dominance over the argument of what to do, when he talks everyone else doesn't interrupt because they know he's got something important to say because he's built up a reputation to where thats his style, thats the only time he talks. Â Maybe that guy was impaired somehow at the time, or away, or dead, and then the rest of the crew felt unconfidant without him. Â They should do a character profile of each soldier in this investigation, then try to retrace the events, and see what lead to the breakdown not to punish anyone , but to iron out the kinks. If they don't already do, they should do pre war character profiles and have a psychiatrist or psychologist form the units so that they get a supportive team. Maybe have each soldier have a psychiatrist so he can talk and say "man i don't like remy over there in my squad, he puts me down to the point where i don't feel confidant or even couragous anymore on the field, and sometimees i feel really confused after he talks all smartass to me but i feel powerless to say anything back." they need someone who can listen to stuff like that and be like, well sir, this guy needs put into a squad with character profiles b and c and immediately before he's qualified for combat. We'll test him out and if all goes fine when he's together with them, then our psychiatric information is correct.

Ofp NEEDS MORE VILLIANS. Â So far we got osama, guba, the trouble makers mc malden. Â We need a new russian villian who is like Guba, runs his own military faction but is more modern......with an eyepatch. Â Maybe we could have a facepack addon or something for our villians and just keep the regular old ofp bodies. Basically we need kingpins to run these generic opfor terrorists. We don't need an entire addon though, just a nice villian face pack.

Seriously though, will you make high explosive rounds for the pistol too , please? That way I could do a special agent story.

I hate all the marxist news headlines. Â They say "U.S." for one, and two they don't even prove what they say, they just talk about the possibility so they're lying. Â Besides, Â I live in the u.s. and there is no special policy to alienate muslims or anything close. Â Muslims live amongst people different than them or close to them depending on whatt they prefer here in the states. Any news report that tries to piss you off about America you shouldn't just believe off the bat, you should think about the motive behind the news report in the first place. How will this news help me, you should ask yourself.

You could call it the spy weapons pack. Make the grenade timed, make the pistol fire special exploding rounds too, and make it jam compatible. This could work nicely. Ever seen Cowboy Bebop? How he has all those special weapons?

well...id say make sure its beta tested thoroughly before you send it in. I'd love to double check to see if its a good story, this could make for a good sequel or even a series. I've been wanting to do a series on the wanzers for some time. Why don't you message me personally about how the misssion goes and the story behind it.

Sometimes people have a certain conflict in mind. Some start with the addons. Lets start with the addons. Your favorite addons are usually the ones that you make a mission based on or around. You want to play with that addon. So you say i got this addon, now what island goes with it? You look through your island options. Personally I stay away from middle east missions because for one I know how they operate, from a window of like a third or second story window and not many addons can get you a guy up in a building window to shoot down at you or catch you by surprise based on the buildings out there. The closest would be afghanistan islands buildings. They got some second story space opening to them to where someone could fire at you if you put in this setunitpos "up" so that they don't duck down at all or lay down which they do by nature. Lizardia is coming though and more. Next you get your enemy. You started with your good guy, your island, now your enemy. Now you need to set it up so these guys will go at it. That's the story, or the plot. You write that up in a briefing someone else made, just fill in the info. Then you start making the guys playable who's playable and setting up the waypoints. Dictating the action. Thats your basic mission. Next.

Youd want to wear the camo of the trees if its a jungle. Â Green. Â You can always look like a log. You'd stick out like a sore thumb standing up wearing desert camo in a jungle. Its dark in a jungle, go with dark colors. Just like on night missions in movies, spec ops wear black, not camo green.

id like to see this all purpose helicopter with american markings. anyone up to it?

I wish ofpec would rate campaigns. Whether single or multiplayer, there have been a lack of campaigns.

especially with a cutscene planning. the timing that the camera will end, the timing of the voice files, who says what in what order, that all must be typed down in notepad before being put into a mission. Â ive done alot of that with mission two in my power saga.
