Replicated the bug, know what it is and will be fixed in the next release. Thanks for pointing it out.

This has been fixed and will be included in the next release.

or maybe a model UV unwrap tool You can do that now, there's a command line util that will convert a p3d into lithunwrap compatible meshes (1 for each lod). p2ms I think it's called.

Any chance of a sub 100k screenshot - You can hot link on our fourms if you'd prefer... Project UKF Forums

In Rho's defence, he didn't mention the Bradley.

Glad you hit the nail on the head for us.

The pitch tweak has been confirmed to fix all sound issues, it will be in the next release.

Hi mate, Here's a tip from an old pro for downloading troublesome files, forget download managers, they're cack. Get this: WGET It's a tool thats been about for a while in linux land and is basically a command line way to download any file from web or ftp servers. I won't go into how flexible it is, just google it. Anyhow, put that file in your windows/system32 folder (winnt/system32 on some machines), or wherever you normally put your command line tools - bascially anywhere where it will be in your 'path'. Now, open up a command prompt (start->run->cmd->ok) and in the command window that appears type this: wget http://address.of/your.file Obviously you'll need to use the link to an actual file from one of the mirrors (gotf wont allow this unfortunately). The file will now download into the current folder that the command prompt started in. To open up an explorer window in this path type this followed by return: start . (start runs explorer, '.' tells it to open in the current path). Enjoy.

I'll be factoring this fix into the next release - after some testing naturally. The strange thing is that you're the first person (forgive me if I missed a post) that has mentioned a pitch issue, everyone else seems to be having volume issues... I'll pass an ammended UKF_weapons.pbo to one of our forum regulars who has the volume issue and see it if fixes things for him. Thanks for letting us know about this.

I've got soundmax onboard audio but I never use it... I have a creative USB Blaster that connects up to my amp, and I use a logitech USB headset most of the time. I'm thinking about enabing the onboard sound to test this sound issue though.

Thanks for that mate

That has to be the biggest understatement to date; i'm currently making a mission with these babies and there just fantastic. I just wish there was some British support units to rearm them and such. You guys RULE Watch this space

Tested with the new ECP and no sound issues, again can people please test with just the warrior in case there is some addon/mod/tweak that is causing this issue. 20+ beta testers never once came across this issue.
-
Have you got any extensions in use that change gamesounds? I can recall a similar problem....don't know where i heard it though nope, not that i know of.. Obviously we don't know what other addons/replacement packs you have installed or what mod folders you are using, could you try a clean ofp installation or remove all of the addons that you are using and see whether this problem persists? The warrior has been tested with a base OFP Res 1.96 install and no sound issues were found :/

Thanks to everyone at the NIMOD. Much appreciated.

From the GOTF Site. Mirrors would be greatly appreciated.

Tried using wget or a different browser? Some mirrors would be good.

In siutations such as these the bomber usually knows _very_ little other than who his/her contact was and what he/she was supposed to carry out. Often the security forces can gain more information from an unexploded device than from a live bomber, given that the bomber could detonate the bomb at any time thus killing people and destroying evidence, it makes a great deal of sense to take the threat out.

Join in progress. Multiple weapons per vehicle (from VBS) Possibly MCAR (VBS has this I think) Bump mapping and pixel shaders (model will need extra alpha channels to take advantage - I personally think paa/pac have been ditched in favour of tga/jpg to accomplish this - I hope so) I think these things alone make it worth having.

We can thank Orson for all the fantastic work he has put into the warrior, it truly is a work of art, and I'm sure you'll all be very pleased with it when you get to use it in the not too distant future. All of us over at PUKF have shed both blood and tears to get this baby out to you - a genuine team effort.

You'll be sverely hampered when making it by bulldozer, it doesnt like high poly models at all. Best to wait until the new tools (that's a hint BIS) are made available.

Reading your post only goes to show that you had not been reading thru the previous several posts and choose to comment base on what you see now. Short-sighted or selective biased views perhaps? Wouldnt lend credence to your message though. This is not some counter-strike forum, but a matured and sensible opinion seeking thread. Do take your time and understand the thread before posting and i look forward to your more matured postings in the near future. Perhaps you should take a leaf out of your own post, here is what you posted: Notice the word Only, hence my post. Condescension really doesn't suit you.

Actually I completely disagree with your point that addons are created for fans, I and plenty of people I know make them solely for their own enjoyment, anything else is a bonus. Your post also insinuates that the views of addonmakers mean nothing compared to the views of the community, we are the community and thus our say is just as valid as someone who has never even had a sniff of O2.

How many of us have ever tried making addon?
BennyBoy replied to snypa's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Having been working on some CVRTs for PUKF for quite some time now, I think I can easily say that the most dificult things about creating a high quality addon from easiest to hardest are: 1) obtaining good photography of the exterior (good lighting, good angles, all sides shown etc) 2) obtaining interior photography - I've yet to find an interior pic from the scorpion. 3) modelling the interior effectively. 4) texturing I've spent more time on creating 'convincing' textures than any other aspect of addon making. I still consider myself to be an absolute beginner in this, but compared to a year ago I'm an expert Config work is easy, there's a lot of examples to draw from, and unlike the modelling and texturing it's really quite objective and logical. Texturing is a purely subjective and emotional experience - mapping textures is fairly logical, but still an artform in my mind. Long live the Gizmo!
