  1. Wow, I didnt know that. Finally I have found time to test it really good.

    I have also chosen SLX option without res buildings and foliage. DOes the AI sight obstacles like bushes and trees work with vanilla ofp and other custom maps ?

    Edit:

    - Can I turn the speedometer & altmeter on in airplanes? I love to bombard enemy form above and both of these are wery helpful in attack calculation.

    - Why some addons for example footmunch`s planes are not affected by any explosions. When you down them with rockets or vulcan the plane just hit the ground without any kaboom and smoke. Why?

    the planes have not been altered to take advantage of the SLX features. Most of Slx's features require editing of the model and config. lots of addons inherit the proporties of the suck Biz units thus can be compatable with the mod, which use modified biz models, with scripts and animations.


  2. Kinda wondered why Ah64 crews man the blackhawks. The should be the guys wearing the helmets without the moving eye monical. Laser made some along with AH64 crewmen. The eye peice is slaved to the Ah64 gunsight system for the eye piece hud. The wear the SH-54 helmet usually in blackhawks. Should try and get more radio chatter for the vehicles its, literly radio chatter from the Vietnam war. Kinda funny when there are frefrance to _charlie_ on the comset when we called the russains Crazy Ivan or the Reds.. Kinda diffcult to get chatter that fits seeing that there was no actual exchange with Russain or US forces other than durring the Kosivo disaster. Kinda noticed a issue one of the cut sceen for I think everon the 2 PT-76s and UAZ are operated by US troops instead of russains.. Think all the weapon bugs have been reported, The russain shotguns also lack ammo in a lot of missions.

If you had read the previous posts by me in this topic you would understand that the laptop I am using to post from cannot handle more than a certain length on a post before it wont allow me to edit it thereby making it so i have to doublepost. Big Rooney any chance of including M16A2 for US National Guard units ? Also T-72B with era is commonly reffered to as T-72B1. Also how would we enable and disable the new options for 1.1 ? Good Luck and Best Wishes with this mod.

    Most Army National guard units get issued M4 carbines in 5.56mm, with PQ2s, Aimpoints/Eotechs combos. I still see M16A2 ans A4s but usualy carried by rear end units most front line units get fully equiped due to complaints about being not getting the propor gear to combat the enemy. Even replaced all our old M1114A1s with M1151 humvess. New nomex protection systems the the next gen IBA body armor.


  4. fixed issues with the flight model for wolfbite and sent it back to him for updates, and texture application. Waiting for it to come back for completeion and install the rest of the animations and load out scripts. but not heard much having been on RL combat ops for the last few months lately.


  5. yes you can drag wounded into a vehicle at least with the original SLX mod you get the injured guy to the vehicle and let got of them you must make sure both the option to drag the guy and board the vehicle are showing in the menu boarding the vehicle, also must be another seat aviable for both you and the wounded guy being dragged around or it not work. More detailed instruction in the read me files, but thats pretty much the gist of what to do.


  6. Seeing alotof te russain armed vehicles got upgrades make a bit diffcult to identify some of them.

    This one was wearing an uparmored kit in Gardez hiding most ot he easy to spot details. That and the russains kept sending military hardwear into Afghanistan after the pull out. ANA have T72M1s just do not field them often due to no threats needing armor to take care of.


  7. most of our stuff literly gets recovered and taken to Bagram to be rebuilt or parts salvaged. Have noticed the ANA replaced the old russain trucks with with M35A2s then international 7 ton trucks, and ford ranger pickups. They now got Humves, funny seeinga humvees with PKMs and DSHKs mounted on em. Been looking at a lotof old russain hardwear for possable modernizing and updating for use by police units. They also got the same equipment Ford rangers, international 7 tons, nissan pick ups, UAZ469s

I took lots of referance pics of some, one of the few times it was safe to go near em, usulay constantly firing on something daily, seen a battery of the take the top off a mountain a few times as well as get rid of bad guys once of twice for us. Along with the 82nds 105mms. That and some other arty peices left behind by the russains, there is a huge graveyard here full of Soviet hardwear from T64s to MB21s and about every arty peice know in the invintory.


  9. Hey I havent played OFP long time, more ArmA but seems that it really s@ck. I dont have time to read 64 sites, huh.

    Can anyone tell me is it possible somehow to replace BIS units with HYK ones? And replacement cofing? Where can I find it or how to do? Im looking forward to answering. Thanks anyway.

    RODGER, I believe DMA had a few configs that replaced just units for the game and the weapons. And was still MP compatable cause it only changed models. This didn't effect the MP severs seeing the changes were only visual. I used the one to swap USMC Suchy's for BIS guys. Never used the hyk, just used the many mods that used them out front. FFUR also had a MP config that just ude models not the tweaked AI or other changes. But usauly you get banned logging onto most MP servers cause it can't tell if your usingi the mp config or fullmod and nail you that way..


  10. Yeah I plan on completing them once hech done with my combat deployment. Real Life comes first. Some of them are being worked on durring my rare and often shot spats of downtime.. Some of them were offered to other mods that needed them for their time line and either sat on or never heard from again. So I can finish them myself or wait till what Arma II comes out and maybe see the other release things. Killing Terrorists, pretty much still has a priority in my book over addons for an nearly 8 year old game. =P

    Sorry, but I don't understand what you exactly want?

    You can provide me with a download link, and I'll take a look on those models; don't forget to mention whom I have to give credit. If they're fine, I'll finish them and include them into my mod. If not, then I'm going on with what I am already doing: Doing them myself, if I don't get permission, or they simply don't exist for OFP.

    I'm definitely not going to postpone work on models because someone tells me having models I need for my mod, and in the end I'm waiting for a indefinite time for them.

    As a sidenote: M113A2, M113A2 ambulance and M163A2 Vulcan are finished. IPM1 needs better LODs yet...

    yeah, it did sound harsh, seeing I've just been informed I will be possably exstended. In contry a few more months I'm willing to burp up the models for completetion. pm me with an email, to send stuff my vsat hates connecting to the crapidshare site. most of it is ingame, just lacking skins or needed mcar scripts added for the At systems, but everything will need erdel cammo skins added.

    I think I have most of the addons here on my external drive not sure about the M48TTT5, but I'll look in it tonight now I got a little down time,

  12. got the old M35 seriees 2 1/2 ton trucks floating around and the 800 sereis five tons trucks. For the Gulfwar era mod on the HD.. Got the M551A1 used by the 82nd Ab till the mid 90s. And the GAMA Goat truck, and M880 series tactical trucks.. Arnie as a complete M88 I can email him to see where its at it was stuck due to texturing problems. The M113 based recvery vehicle really wasnt in heavy use, the M88, and M578, and the M60 tank based revocery vehicle where used far far more. The M113 often broke, or flipped over being over taxed. The Unimog engineer vehicle is still in use today... Mostly by the 82nd.


  13. the OFCW ch47 was replaced with a new model, and had to add ll the crap to it like animated doors, landing gears, and sling loading capable. Keep seeing other versions of one floating around but the get horded, thus left it with the gulf war mod, that pan to complete once my combat tour is over in a few months. Along with a ton of other marine themed units. Mcar it the only way to make wheeled vehicles fire guieded missile systems, I updated some of the combat humves, a while back, to current spec M1114A1, M1151A1, fixed the geo lod issues that make the not shake at last. Still testing them for the most part..


  14. suggets looking at COD4 screens, simly had a bit of weathering the building textures so they are dirtier I suggest grafity, noticed the nike symble is painted on tons of things here like buildings and KOed vehicles. broken and missiong glass in windows, blast marks and bulletholes in the walls. Kinda get crazy with a it a lot due to the issues of AI and vehicles getting around the objects.


  15. Nope only thing to even remotely come close was the Jam equal mod to aircraft called aces, that most addon makers ignored.

    Most decent jet addons zip across even the biggest maps in a few seconds. some deathmacth missions on islands with more than one airport, the ATC mod helps add more, but mods just fer planes alone, "Not really, BOH mod did have missions with aircraft selection, and loadouts. That and the gameengine mechanics where based on ground combat. the boats and planes were added as an afterthought.


  16. well in the Stan now, was kinda way too busy to take pics in Iraq and Kuwait, but can show pics. Kinda like most large urban areas like Ney york its filthy. Just wrose cause the infastructure is non exstant, Think the road textures also should be relapced. be lotso of cracks and potholes. Not to mention tracked vehicles really treat up the streets, not like it be safe to let road crews in to repair crap with snipers and vbeds everywhere.
