I feel the same, i run DXDLL at the moment but simply for the reflections. I would love to run with PP but i like having jaggies as much i enjoy a good ol' kick to the jacobs Anyone gifted enough to find a way to run both?

There is no point. There is nothing in the game that uses any textures bigger than 512x512 so there is nothing to be gained by having the setting any bigger than that.

IceDude, looking at those screens, i reckon you don't have your FSAA & AF cranked all the way up. Max those, you will prolly get the FPS hit you are looking to get and OFP will look a little nicer too.

This is my opinion on what OFP should look like.... Clicky That pic has only had a touch of gamma editing, as Grab Clip Save takes them too dark in OFP, and was also taken without the use of DX.DLL. It was taken on a machine running a GF FX5900 Ultra with all the OFP vis-settings maxed. Addons: HYK Infantry, INQ weapons, Llaumax skies but not sure which island, sorry

The island is too flat imo. It's pretty much an ice-rink. There isn't a single wadi, rock formation or gully on the whole of the terrain. There isn't really anything you could call a ditch even. Don't get me wrong, big ol' tank battles on here will be great and overall it's a good looking island, but some harsh breaks in the terrain are desperately needed here and there....places for scud busting SAS to hide for example B

I never thought i'd say this as i too am a member of the 'Too many M4's in OFP' brigade, but these M4's are the best yet!! Although they go well with Blackblood's SAS a set of M16/M203 would look a lot better....any chance you could rustle up some Wip? Thanx for your efforts, much appreciated *Edit* Anyone know if there is a nice plain/desert M16/M203 (preferably desert) around until Wipman grants my wish?

Excellent, that's done the trick!! TBH, more addon makers should offer up Torrent versions of 'big release' addons. It would save them a lot of bandwidth as people would be sharing as they download....but that's another thread, i have a date with a big metal beauty Thanx guys.

I have tried to d/l it from different links but it either freezes or 'Unexpectedly ends'....prolly due to my dodgy connection i guess, although i have been able to d/l other stuff ok. Hi Shottie, from what i can tell you are quite new to OFP. Welcome If you are looking to play around with the editor then the best place to learn the ropes is at OFPEC There are some great beginner's tutorials there....simply ask to be pointed in the right direction and you shall see the light.

Do you find that just before the system reboots you get a repeating sound, usually caused at points in the game where there is rapid fire going down....from a BMP or Shilka mebbe? Put the system back as it was and try it out. The problem may be caused by using hardware acceleration for sound. To disable - Run > dxdiag > Disable Hardware Acceleration under the 'Sound' tab (there may be more than one tab depending on your setup). Hope this works.
