  1. Heh... don't be so optymistic. Does anyone remember recommended system requirements for Resistance?

    CPU 700 MHz, 256 MB RAM, 32MB DirectX 8.1 3D video card... wink_o.gif

Recommended doesn't always mean the best and I'm more than sure to admire the game in its full beauty you will need a pretty strong computer tounge2.gif

wink_o.gif Well Resistance had more higher resolution textures but OFP v1.46 ran quite well on 450mhz, 256mb ram and a Voodoo2. And those system requirement btw are fine for the standard Resistance without any modifications.

But since we seen some improvement in the latest ArmA screenshots I think it still could change imo.

  2. They won’t be making a total conversion WWII expansion, because that would be too much work for too little financial gain. That’s why they’re making (I see it as a full conversion mod called...) BF2142. Then wait ~4 months and you’ll have an expansion or “booster-pack†that adds very little. Then ~4 more months expect the same thing. Then ~4-6 months from then, they’ll announce they’re new game (maybe BFWWII and probably on the same engine). I mean hell, BF2 was only released just over a year ago. It sounds like the BF series might turn into EA’s sport franchises with annual releases. confused_o.gif

And not even talking about these so called 'patches' they release for BF2 crazy_o.gif

  3. Talvisota. It feels more 'real' than most other war movies I've seen throughout the years. If you haven't seen it yet, then do so ASAP. It's in Finnish, but it comes with English subtitles so no problemo.

Indeed its very rare and nobody knows about it here plus even if it is a serie, Band of Brothers I enjoyed every second of it. There are many more good ones out there.

  4. Apparently Intel has revoked ATI's license to make P4 chipsets. This means if you want a Crossfire + Pentium you're screwed. Then again, Crossfire was a trainwreck from the start. Oh well.

Crossfire and SLI in my eyes are useless anyway, I really don't see the need ever to have more than 1 gfx-card in a system to have a couple more fps. Its surely nice for overclockers and tweakers.

As for the license; Intel licence still there. Well anything can ofcourse still change in the future.

  5. Its a damn shame that most gamers look to graphics these days...oh well...keep the little kids and graphic people with their graphics,I'd rather take the less graphicated games in which people believe in gameplay and teamwork.

Crysis not only about the graphic. Just see the E3 Crysis videos. The game had a decent physics too. When you run through the bushs, the vegetables are pushed out the way. I like those effect. wink_o.gif

Well that takes some CPU power away and development time aswell.
