  1. Thought of another thing....

    Electricity

    telephone wires....

    Communications...

    Ofcourse Buildings that are dependent upon electricity...

    which ofcourse would be great to have portable generators too that could be hooked up to the buildings.... (ofcourse more might be needed for large buildings) biggrin.gif


  2. hehe...why don't we just have them set it up ...where you can use those bike pedals that are controllers too......and the faster you pedal the faster you run .....then have resistance to pedaling if you have a ton of gear or going up hill... tounge.gif ...hmm..maybe then we can get a work out that way...hehe


  3. Could even use this on those huge airplanes that circle the battle field... you could have a mobile air command....

    the planes where they have about 5 guys sitting inside watching the screens from the cameras set underneath the plane looking down...and relaying it back.....

    This way you could have about 4 cameras set up and can view at the same time biggrin.gif

    oh well...maybe its a stupid idea wink.gif


  4. I think for a more realistic strategic play you would need a more dependent system of resources....

    Right now we see some fuel trucks and everything, but they are nearly ever used....

    I think supply support should be a neccesity for some missions

    I think if there was a more need for supply trucks/boats/ choppers....

    What resources would be nice to have implemented??

    Gas

    Oil

    Food

    money

    spare parts

    Ammo

I would like to see the ability to have more than one camera in use and have like split screen so you could view more than one at the same time.... or have it where you could designate the size of each camera screen and maybe have it where you can "project" the camera picture onto a "tv" modelled plane in an addon.... where you can walk/look around then look back at the screens to see what is happening....

    I'm thinking this would be a great idea for a command center or security center.....

    you could watch several different groups of men at the same time and coordinate plans with them... or intell...(have it look like they are carrying a camera and pointing it back at themselves telling you the positions and information)

    you could watch several different places in your base at the same time.....where the enemy would have to systematically take out your cameras or try and sneak in....

  6. Well, I kind of thought the addevent handlers saved a lot of scripting space and effieciency..plus you wouldn't have to use precious CPU power by having scripts check a certain thing every few seconds....

    I know triggers can help in this too, but can be limited.

    I just thought it might be a good idea to come up with some more possible ones that BIS could concider implementing

  7. Very good point there Col. Kurtz ...I guess I didn't think about unfair players.... It would be great for sqad teams though! ....could get several guys and figure out certain jobs that need to be done and specialized positions... then go to it!

    I need to check out that game that has it implamented! biggrin.gif


  8. I just thought of a lil idea...maybe kind of stupid or lame...

    but if we are talking about specializing people for certain functions and everything and getting more tactical...

    I would like to see for M.P. games a way in which you can have a Commanding General for the entire side... the small group or platoon leaders could radio in to the head quarters...

    in which case a small map could be placed infront of the general showing the placement of all groups. From the whole picture the General could have the option to draw on a map and give briefing instructions on specific missions and sent out to the platoon during game play. At the same time the general could radio back to the leaders or such....

    They could call in the air strikes to certain coordinates by intell from spies or scouts....

    I know it can be done to some extent with the current ofp...

    but to have a specific slot for commander and have a toggle for the commander between the radio(to all leaders)-map(sub maps to draw new plans to be sent out to leader)-intelligence(spies/satellite/scouts/leaders and could make notes on a clip board to remember)-airstrikes or reinforcements-playing screen

    not only that but you could have a player or players gathering the information in the command center... could have one controlling the satelites or intell and sifting through it to decide what the general gets to know about....

    Also the information gathered and plans written down could also be found or stolen by the other side if they take over your command center or sneak in

    Then for radio transmissions ...or intell...a side could determine a "code" so the other side couldn't read it...

    Whew!!... sorry if its a dumb idea or can't figure out what im talking about...im on some meds because im under the weather confused.gif


  9. I would like to see the elevation taken from sea level no matter weather you are on land or in the water.

    You can't setpos or anything across a bridge because once an object starts going over the water... it no longer takes the roadway as the elevation but the water below...so it makes a bad transition between the two...

    inturn when you get position of the z plane it would be totally off on bridges and such...which could effect several scripting tasks

    Same thing with stairs in buildings, it gets a lil crazy...


  10. I just tried the set velocity ...and it works just fine across bridges... im not sure how easy it would be to tow that way though through turns, but it does work when your driving straight across the bridge biggrin.gif

    Thats the only solution that i know of, I only have a little bit of scripting experience though! I'll keep trying, but I hope I helped a little confused.gif


  11. Hmm...really interesting problem here Bratz.... I've been trying 2 or 3 different ways since I saw the thread, but i can't seem to get it solved. I've tried setings its position from a relative and independent point from above, but it still goes through the bridge. I'm not sure how your doing the trailor or anything, but could setvelocity work? I haven't used set velocity in a long time so im not sure if that will work but I'll see if it will allow it to go across the bridge without sinking through biggrin.gif

    I hope you can solve it! I've been waiting for a towing package!!!


  12. Don't forget the under water terain too..... it would be wonderful to have the ability to go under the water...submarines..divers....ect....endless possibilities once that is opened up....

    :::picturing navy seal teams planting explosives on the enemy ship's under carrage.... entering bases through drain pipes....sewers....::: whew!!!
