Others had that problem , don't recall what the fix was. I'm thinking maybe diff memory handling in 1.09...maybe try with some -maxmem parameters?

Can't really help you much here, asides you didn't disclose infos like $funds and pc specs (agp, pci etc..) This area is mainly to help you getting your game to work Lots of people anxiously awaiting to help you here: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....st=1635

Also consider firewall and virus program controlling your connection

Nice , very nice !!

Even if it used the two cores and doubled it to 3.2.... thats still minimal nowadays, not a performance machine spec Its not double performance anyways, topic starter is stating that a 4200 dual-core  would run like a 8400mhz? but cheer up , quick search on your cpu (you didn't state much specs) people are getting upto 3.2 per core with air cooling overclocking only a 75$ cpu if its not a celeron dual core

Jerry Hopper hasn't posted on these forums since Nov 12th....bummer I miss the audio interviews he was doing

Model sure does look nice, would make some nice photography shots. Alot of that detail is uneccesary in Arma tho. OFP had a limit of 32k vertex's and I believe the limit is removed (don't quote me but I thought I heard)

Hows that related to graphics? You mean anims? I haven't had what you said happen but in Evolution when I select the M4 -203 (name?) It keeps switching between that and the pistol without my interaction a few times.Until I force the walk outside (between these annoying anims)...I now drop my pistol first (don't use it really much and often depending on Evo version its the 203 ammo slots anyways) I was thinking just a Evo type flaw but its prolly something in the Bis anims

Your speed will definately be enough to play online games. I have several wireless devices (cards, adapters, routers etc..) I have found that ping may is more likely to vary from brands rather than connect speed. They supply the wireless adapter don't they? I've played online games shared between several computers in my house with a 11mbs wifi connect from my shop that is half mile away (have linksys routers config'd as bridges and 14db antennas) Sometimes noisy days (trees in way) You should be fine

I have a similar rig, a bit lower spec(Barton 2600+, 1gig RAM, 7600GT AGP) Â and I'm able to run ArmA perfectly fine(25+, sometimes drops under 20) at mostly normal(no AA and AF). I think the problem must be on your end, as there are several others with a similar rig that have the same preformance as me. Actually a 7600GT is quite a bit faster than a 7600GS As much as half faster 7600GS is down near ATI1650pro and Nvidia 6600GT performance.Very minimal nowadays http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphic....art=275 I have very similiar specs as poster: PIV 3.0 prescott,1 gig DDR400, 7600GS 512m Its not even a 100$ video card, what can one expect nowadays Altho I often play with my video overclocked its also fine at stock speeds. Same as my laptop (struggles slightly) XP4000+ cpu, 1gig DDR, x600 256m Alot has to do with how you tweak your system apparantly, you can't have anti virus programs, fraps and all that stuff running in background I was playing with everything on low, now with new patch I am mosty normal and its fine (could handle normal before too but I'd rather have framerate than looks) If I turm shading or shadow detail up from low (very low?) it kills it to a crawl. AA and AF levels are fine at diff settings New patch helps, maybe lower view distance to 'bout 400-500m to be comparable to COD Someone needs to make a small island for us with less systems

Maybe try Mission Editing section here on the forums as I know of several missions with convoys BIS's "Convoy Ambush" has worked right up through the patches.

Its actually been covered several times within this same topic

You can run Arma on very high? On all settings ? IMHO I don't see how that would be possible Ours computers are similiar PIV 3.0,1 gig ddr400,7600 gs 512m.WinXP Home Not sure what your problem is, possibly depends on what background programs you have running (could try -maxmem parameter), ambient temperature day-to-day? After I use FRAPS, after a few recordings my PC gets slower and slower, I have to reboot

Prolly a Windows patch or video driver version problem. Use ths topic : http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=69307

Hey thanks thats actually a pretty good program. Spyware scan seems too fast but it found things where Spybot and Adaware were saying I was clean ! So using all three programs I should be at least 90% clean !

What addons/mods do you have installed? System and Arma versions specs please

Someone running a microwave nearby while your ingame?

Mehman that is some amazing work ! I'm speechless. Mod is looking very good, I'm impressed.

But you said it rebooted while you were downloading a patch? Is it rebooting or BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) ? And Stalker makes it do it.I suspect you have a hdd getting hot/failing. (Prolly likely to reboot when you start a game while everything loading) Otherwise...failing powersupply, or your cpu is getting hot (have you blown out dust lately) Possibly have dust around your hd too is all. Could also just be the location of your components (video card close to cpu, video blocking air to hdd etc..) And swapping your mem with a friends doesn't eliminate memory problem especially you have a wrong setting in your bios or they are similiar type of memory altogether

And you guys have scanned your PC's for spyware and play Arma without virus program running?
-
I find the AI slightly better/harder now it seems.

Don't even have to erase it, just run your other .exe I have about 3 hrs on this patch and I can say now that altho i didn't have serious problems before. It is definately alot smoother now,its like you upgraded my video card.I don't have texture switching like some users report, I have less than I did before and it looks a great deal better. Flying or riding I was in awe looking around how much better it looks. No serious bugs to report The walking, anim switching ..it all seems smoother now.I'm impressed I was on a server and a user died on a motorcycle on the lawn in front of me, I drove one for like 15 minutes and drove like a madman and didn't die (weird) When I played earlier I noticed when I turned voices up louder so I could hear talk, all it did was make the other sounds lower so I put it back (all 7 default) In game VON works for me, I hear others and talked a few times (i don't really like chat unless its squad/clan based necessity) PIV 3.0,1 gig ddr400,7600gs 512m,winxp home Bought this cheap Diamond soundcard few weeks ago because my built-in sound didn't allow me to enable hardware accel: http://www.staples.com/webapp....L140474 Arma Works great! Merry Christmas BIS and Fans

never had to use memory switches with my Arma. I used to play on my laptop (XP4000+,1 gig ddr,x600 256m video,XP Home) And now on my home pc, I just bought a cheesy videocard so i can play games on it again, well actually I bought a x1950gt for it but it died two days later and I lost 50$ shipping it and they were outta stock,so I bought a localcard (that way it dies, I can bring it back) PIV 3.0 gig,1 gig ddr400,nvidia 7600gs 512m,XP home, asrock p4v88 mb w/ via chipset (asides from benchmarks I didn't see any performance difference between the 7600gs and x1950 , prolly cause of its failure) Arma didn't run any faster with the x1950, weird that with version 1.08 and 1.09 I don't use memory switches ( I was having problems MP, it would sit at "wait for host" and lockup) I tried memory switches then and noticed degraded performance Haven't had "wait for host" lockup in a while, not sure what problem was, I think it was the server I was using

How do i reinstall the download version?
BraTTy replied to Dudester's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I bought my download from Metaboli and I changed my email and also lost the info about a month after I bought it. I emailed them and they responded and sent the stuff "in less than a day" So I know that they are good service, just how unfortunate yours to happen around the holidays edit: oh and after I originally download I burned the files to dvd so I didn't need to redownload , I just needed the serials
