Once again, excellent quality work! Lost Brother is my favourite mod so far - they have made rapid progress with the units and bring them out all the time. Also, the subject is most interesting.

Finns as the resistance - an excellent idea! Good choice taken into account that Finnsh fought against Soviets 39-40, again in 41-44 then finally against Germans to drive 200,000 Germans out of Northern Finland during late 44 - early 45 campaign. Since you'll model the entire conflict and probably model only couple of vehicles for Finnish Army, I'd suggest you model: - SturmGeschutz III G -captured T-26 tank here's the link for this page: http://www.pp.htv.fi/jveijala/mil00.html it shows armor on display in Parola Armor Museum They were most numerous tanks in the Finnish Army during 39-45 period. And you if you model them for Soviets and Germans too, you'll just have to reskin them. I'm ready to help you any way I can with this Finnish part, just email me if you need help! I hope BIS will spend some effort making those big apartment buildings accessible since otherwise they serve as just eye candy. Then we might see some genuine urban fighting, room to room, street by street... Hopefully they want spend all their time on good-looking textures and leave buldings close.

Definite yes for RPG-7! It's the guerilla fighters definite symbol around the world. Remember also that OFP: Resistance is set in the early 80s so older weapons are quite suitable for that period. Many of the old ones were not in regular service but were instead held in the war reserve stocks (for example Finland preserved 9mm 'PPsh-like' Suomi m1931 SMGs in war reserves well into 1990s, also lots of bolt-action rifles were retained too). My opinion is that the Resistance needs the following (or Czech equivalents if BIS prefers for Resistance: -CZ 52 or Tokarev TT-33 Pistol -Mosing-Nagant M1891 Bolt-Action Rifle, caliber: 7.62x54R for sniping or plain iron sights. -SKS semi-auto Carbine, firing 7.62x39mm from 10 round clips. -PPsh m1941 submachine gun, calibre: 7.63x25mm, drum or box clip -RPD Light Machine Gun, automatic, firing 7.62x39mm AK rounds from 100 round belt. -RPG-7 Rocket Launcher, firing 85mm High-explosive Armor Piercing (HEAT) rocket. Other munitions include High-Explosive grenade. -DsHk Heavy machine gun, firing 12.7x107mm round. for Soviets: -Makarov pistol (for officers) -RPK-74 clip-fed light machine gun -NSV heavy machine gun 12.7x107mm (AT LAST because current Soviet M2 is all wrong! -RPG-7V, more effective version of basic RPG-7.

Yeah, BIS should put some thought in the vehicle specs before rushing them for release. In first patch that contained Humvee addon it could be destroyed with singe bullet to the tires and driver would automatically eject after that Now it seems that Humvee is a bit over-armored when compared to BRDM. HMMW is an armored car while BRDM is more like an APC like BTR, M113 etc. I also beg BIS to add BTR-80 into OFP since it can carry full squad of troops. Also top-mounted 12.7mm M2 for Humvee is needed, equally useful would be turreted version of BRDM with mighty 14.5mm heavy machinegun is desperately needed!

Well, you gotta point there too. But rarely intros are more than 1 minute so skipping is really not the main problem here. I think nobody wants to make 5 minute multiplayer mini-movies Main gripe is that multiplayer doesn't support single-player style intro structure. The stuff you see in intro has to be in the mission, there is no dedicated intro possible currently. Hope this isn't hard to fix, maybe Suma will answer this when he gets back?

I think AK-74 recoild could be a bit lower than AK-47 since it's firing smaller-caliber bullet. I've heard the recoil with AK-74 is very pleasant even fireable on full auto...

Since OFP: Resistance is about a desperately outgunned resistance movement, I see no reason why some resistance fighters couldn't use pistols. Not that it's particulary useful combat weapon but it's certainly better than nothing! Regular armed forces don't use pistols on the field since they lack range.

I don't know about you guys, but honestly my jaw dropped and pupils enlarged OFP: Resistance seems to exceed my wildest daydreams... I also love the concept of playing as resistance movement, gathering capturing equipment for next missions. Reminds of the old Jagged Alliance series. Great that BIS is not going to ultra-modern landwarrior-shiite stuff. -

I have no problem with having armored humvee - it serves it's purpose well. Unarmored version could be nice addon but jeep is the same thing. BRDM should definately have more armor, it's more like an APC but humvee is just armored jeep... Hope BIS will fix them in the future...

...and Carl Gustav is not guided missile, it's like straight-firing anti-tank rocket/recoilless.

Hidden & Dangerous is a true classic, can't tell how exciting it was to play through the entire campaign in coop with 4 of my friends on a LAN. Took us about one week of summer holiday to go thourgh the retail game then we bought the Devils Bridge (or Fight For Freedom in Europe) and went throught that one too. H&D really required good cooperation with fellow players, I remember we planned tactics for next mission in a sauna with some beer

Carl Gustav and AT-4 are totally wrong in OFP. Countless of threads have begged to change Carl Gustav to unguided launcher and AT-4 3d model into something more realistic. So far BIS has been deaf to these demands...I sure hope they fix them in 'Resistance'.

I never use "normal sight" (the standard FPS crosshair). The realistic way to play ofp is without any mysterious floating crosshairs on the screen. I use iron sights for medium-long range shooting and at very close range I shoot from the hip.

Invasion '44, Vietnam & others are cool but they haven't done nearly as much as the Lost Brothers mod, they've got lots of high-quality skins and models ready. But release date is of course uncertain. I just wish Invasion '44 mod would make some skins for existing models, then improve over time & oxygen availability...

Of course, pistols are just extra. Fix older LAW/RPG, AT-4 and Carl Gustav inaccuracies first. East M2 Machine Gun is also all wrong, they really have NSV Machine guns or older DsHk but NOT the US m2 gun anyway. Additionally: -BMP-1 can't fire Sabot round in real life -M2 Bradley's commander seat is useless since periscope doesn't rotate -tank tracks won't get blown by mines and tanks won't immobilize -LAW/RPG is still too accurate -Trabant is wrecked by couple of bullets etc...

Pistols are reasonably accurate only to 25+ meters and pretty useless in large open terrain. But maybe they could be added to coming OFP: Resistance upgrade, since the concept in it is to manage with very limited resources and fight guerilla-type warfare against Soviets. Kozlice will probably play a part, why not some old pistols confiscated from grandpa's attic like Walther P-38, Colt M1911 or revolvers? They're still better than sticks and stones I also think pilots especially are pretty heavily armed currently, who the hell would carry and assault rifle + 4 mags and 6 grenades in already cramped cockpit AND then take them all out after being ejected??? Pistols for pilots NOT assault rifles (jet pilots at least).
