Ok... there is a guy running around that is crashing servers. His name is 26th_Pvt-Santos_USMC If ANYONE has his UID please post it here. We want to ban anyone that is too stupid to do XML and is crashing servers. I would suggest everyone else ban them as well. Maybe we need a complete list of UID's that are crashing servers with XML. It seems some are doing this on purpose... because this guy was seen elsewhere and he was chatting about XML bug. So he knows...

I have the same issue to some degree. It doesn't happen all the time. But at times it will ask for the CD even when the CD is in. Very weird... and a reboot is required before it will work properly again. I have ONE DVD/CD drive...

1.40 helped a lot. No more aircraft fleight bugs and the tank bugs seem to be fixed.

The problem is there are WAY too many people doing this. We have a BanList of like 100 ID's of people that are causing this problem. The only way to fix this is to get a patch... UNLESS... OFP uses port 80 to transfer the XML... then maybe you could block port 80 until BIS fixes this major bug.

On our server we utilize Voice and it works great. Doesn't seem to lag down the server. I just wish you knew WHO was speaking at any given time and the Voice was only on when you press a key... when the key is released it would unmic. Like CS...

WOW... yeah I think that would be awesome. Fade in and out due to loss of blood along with a stagger and dizzyness... cool effect. I mean we want realism right? When shot you think a person can do as good? When flying wouldn't this effect the ability of the flyer?

Now wait a minute... I knew that would be the first answer someone would give. (it was a loaded question) This just is not fair. All players wether using joystick, mouse or keyboard should be able to get the same height in game.

To be realistic... it should be an optical illusion in the game then, right? Only that would mean it was a virtual optical illusion... which would mean it was a real thing eh? Ummm... ok... yeah.

Ugh... I am not one to speak about Real Life Chopper flight. (no experience first hand... although I think it would be cool to do) I do however love to fly Choppers in OFP... What makes me really upset about OFP choppers is when you get a guy that comes in and he flys the chopper at 500m+... and says "I am not cheating". #### and I can't even tilt upwards enough to even shoot him! Now when he is on my level I smoke him everytime... grrr... WTF is this and why hasn't it been fixed?

We use the following: MaxMsgSend = 1024; MinBandwidth = 5000000; However, remember we have a very large connection (Redundant OC3) and I would not suggest these unless you have atleast a T3.

Actually I think this would be the ANSWER to respawn with out the bugginess. Delete the old... thus removing it completely. Create the new thus spawn a new vehicle for someone to plop their butt in.

Ok I really want to know this one. It bugs the #### out of me. Will the Chopper Bug (aircraft bug) be reolved in the next patch? This is a major issue when playing multiplayer missions. Also... what is going on with the Netcode? Will it be better? Our server (which is a very good setup) will lag out on large missions and cause horrible lag (bandwidth is NOT an issue)... enough to where everything around you has stopped moving. Please tell me these things will be fixed...

I know OFP doesn't make use of Dual... but I can always hope for the future I really hope the performance improves with the next release.

give the AI names... then have the trigger trigger when those names enter it. -
We aren't using Linux for OFP. We have a dedicated Win2k server exclusively for OFP (Dual Proc Pentium 4 with 1Gig of Ram)... we also run on a Redundant OC3 connection. With 24 people connected I have seen ram usage as high as 600MB... We have no limitations on our end... but will Netcode and CPU usage be fixed?

Anyone ever notice that if you have a fairly full server 2-+ players with Choppers and someone starts talking it causes the Chopper Bug?

Yeah and MIC keys should be logged as well... so those idiots that come in open their MIC and play music and s**t.

heh... I have to admit... I am so used to using completely routable IP's because I have so many at my disposal I am not as up on NAT as I should be I guess. Rekrul... you are probably correct. However, if NAT works like a proxy which I know it does... I would believe if BIS' software was not able to communicate with several different ports to the client you would have some issues when using it on multiple systems...
