Just a fun little thing - Colin over at Gamespot (live cam atm from E3) just said ARMA3 is his favourite of E3. :)

Holy crap BIS. The images looks f-ing fantastic! The slightly futuristic style is something to get used to for us realism nuts, but its not massively futuristic and im sure awesome gameplay will have us by the cojones so it will be totally ok. Also, we can create addons as before if we want to change something. Best game ever. Untouchable.
<- Very happy person right here. :)

If this was implemented all over the game and at the same time we have an editor to create whatever types of missions we want (with whatever gear we want). Wouldnt this system limit the types of missions we then could create? You have to level up (play a certain amount of time) to be able to do missions that depends on certain gear etc.
Or am i thinking it wrong?
Personal feeling about this - no thanks. I like the limitless, sandbox structure. Thats a big reason why i do dig the arma series as much as i do.

Good post DM.
Fully supported by me.
-
Its not making the game ultra realistic just because the engine is quiet during turret swing. I have to say it's a bit annoying when the engine goes on and off as you sit somewhere and have to scan around.
Addons fixed this in every game of the series, and it would be sweet with it done stock in AA3 imo. :)

ARMA2 have normal colors. There is a module that adds brown/yellow tint and of course the scripts that can add everything from tints to blur and god knows what.
I bet (like said before) that the same goes for ARMA3.

Nope, no one have heared anything more than announced by BI.
We just have to wait and see.

2 times tested resulted in 2 CTD's.
-First crash sent me instantly to the desktop without any error report.
-Second crash started with heavy lag for a few seconds and then a CTD with the message "ARMA2 has encountered a problem and need to close".
This last time where i had a clean dump/RPT i also used tons of addons (wasnt testing the beta but wanted to play around a bit), but maybe it will help.

Thank you BIS for continuing on the series.
Hell yes!!
-
Also I had my first "out of memory" ever while playing around in the editor (game).
-
Yeah! For one fixed bug we get two new bugs... Keep up the good work! :DSometimes I think BIS should learn something about regression tests...
Thats what we are doing now you see - testing.
Thanks BIS for the great support. :)

Can't get much better than this.
Thanks a lot RHS team. :)
PS. Smoke (action menu) works and effects when firing the main gun also works as it should. You with problems please check your addon combos.
EDIT: Noticed the fireball when firing the main gun is a bit too far in front of the barrel (10 meter-ish). All the other effects like dust and smoke etc works as it should.

Good work!
Always wanted more civilian traffic. And adding roosters - i really missed them. :)

Look here: EDITING SECTION
You should find a lot of information about intro making using the search function as it has been asked and answered many many times. Another tips is to read through the pages. Theres a chance you will get additional skills beyond intro making.
Please read the section titles more carefully before starting a thread. ;)

He probably has a higher tolerance for low fps.Definatelly. I cant run maxed and enjoy it. Im running most of the time 1600x900 with most to high and some to normal.
But 11 fps for Antonoo does not sound right. Will have to get back to you on that and see what is wrong. The game is not that badly optimized. ;)

Always be sure to make your missions without addons that arent used in the mission. No matter if you dont use any assets from a mod/addon it will still most likely be needed.
So only edit your missions with the addons that are planned for it to skip trouble. ;)

Also, Windows 7 threw a fit after it finished, saying "this program might not have installed correctly". I just told it that it did install correctly, but is that normal with these beta patches?
Very normal on Win 7. Disregard in the case with betas.

Cool idea. Love that all you guys come up with effects that we havent really seen yet (or heared in this case). The distance effect seem to work pretty well.
How does it work if objects such as hills/buildings are in between the sound source and the player? Does the muffling still affect this or is it a lowering of volume?
Keep up the good work. Eager to test this. :)

Cheers GranQ, this should bring some fun. :)
Celery, quick man - DM MINIGUN! :D

Really dig what JSRS have accomplished with the more dynamic sound effects such as tank track "screech" when turning hard plus the "klonk's" when driving over bumps. Dont know how he achieved that, but the immersion is upped a lot.
Cheers for the hard work. :)

Glad you got it sorted.
Closing.

Please give us some information about what addons you run and game version. Hard to help without proper info. ;)

Good idea!
Could maybe show space number too? Something like this if possible:
Funny enough it looks like it says 8/10 (8 out of 10). Perfect. :D
Thanks.
