  1. Just noticed VME released a new version of their PLA mod last year (v3.2) the infantry looks a lot different.

Is this available on any English language hosts? If not is anyone interested in it? If so I will ask them if I can get it mirrored on another site, you need to be a member to get the dl links from their forum (which is a bit difficult since the site is in Chinese).

Edit: Hah! You even need to be a member to view the screenshots. They've changed the camoflage to a grey/green pattern added swimming, leaning and other animations (from FFUR SLX 2.5) naval units and more jets.

It'd be nice if you could get this on another site.

  2. I've picked Berghoff's, but I took another look @ the I44_Jc vegetation on Normandy - if you can do with Berghoff's vegetation what the I44 guys did on their other islands (on my computer, the LOD popping in JC Normady is too much. . .), it might be nice (hopefully, the lag would not be killer). If not, I would eagerly await what you would work up with the I44_Jc vegetation, because I think they're a really close #2.

Your building painting has been great to see!

  3. Rating is highly subjective and depends on whether I was eating sandwich while reviewing.

Does the type of sandwich make any difference?

Thanks for publishing this in the way you have - it's really nice to see!

And, as you provide proof that some feed off of negative energy, well, happy to be of service to you! :D

  4. Edit: Hi, folks, please disregard the following - miraculously, what was not working about half an hour ago is now working. I don't know why. The only thing that remains is Radio Chatter defaulting to 'disabled'. I'm checking into that and am hopeful for another miracle. If any of you have any idea what might have happened, it'd be interesting to hear about it. All I did was reconfirm that DSAI master was enabled and set to 'true'.

Now to check on Radio Chatter. . . Again. . . All in anticipation of that WW4 ECP config. . . :)

Edit 2: Radio Chatter thing ended up being missing 'spaces' in the entry. Not sure why. . . Defaults to 'enabled' now.

    Hi, folks,

I'm having a problem w/ ECP DSAI. I moved my OFP installation to a larger and faster hard drive a while back, via a direct copy and paste (I had installed vanilla OFP on the new drive; C: to F: ). Aside from having to change shortcuts, everything has worked great (it's been at least a year). I was revisiting ECP last night and found that several options in the ECP Options UI are disable by default, and that all but one (Radio Chatter) are permanently disabled. This had not been the case, earlier, when they all had been enabled and working.

    Here's a screen shot:

I've checked the pertinent .sqf's and addons to see what's up - as far as I can tell, everything is as it should be. However, it does seem, after some testing in the editor, that DSAI is not working.

Is DSAI looking for something in C: ? AI Surrender, too? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

  5. Is it okay to have ECP+Dynamic Range RC1.0 active? Is it better than the standard ECP I already have installed? Or, should I just go with the ECP I already have installed?

  6. You beat me to it, Tony - anyone have a place to play?

Update: HD crash resulted in the downtime. Site back up, servers (OFP, TeamSpeak) still down.

  7. Hi, Zulu!

Yes, that picture did come from yesterday. I wasn't able to play much - the weather is still too good around here to stay inside (especially with kids). Tony and I were on around 2:30 pm, CST (Tony had been enjoying being outside in his neck of the woods, too). I imagine that when things get colder over here, I'll be able to justify the time inside - I am anticipating certainly doing so. I'm not playing any other games.

I would love to get in on the Arma2 games, but that necessitates a new computer purchase - not in the offing, especially with a family and a computer that already does what we need (and handles OFP nicely). I wish BIS could figure out a way to get OFP GOTY back on GOG.com - there's still a market for it (certainly with my extended family and group of friends).

Heck, they should just promote and sell it off their own site. There are tons more computers in the world that can play OFP than there are that can handle Arma2 (what's the ratio of netbook to gaming computer production, nowadays?). Might as well make some more money off of them, BIS! Especially given the economy, that looks like money left on the table. . .

Anyone reading this who hasn't played OFP with CiA, make it a point to get in on the Sunday and Wednesday games - the more, the merrier; Zulu, others, and I have found it to be a lot of fun!
