I dont know how the surrounding looked and how many other amercian soldiers have been there, but I've read that the sniper was on a kind of training with a recruit. They were hiding and firing from inside a van and after the shot, they soon got captured by American soldiers. So perhaps they have been other Americans around.

the ch47 is a completely new modell, had it lying around for a couple of weeks now and decided to give it some exterior textures. Lots of stuff to do before it would be ready for release.

I'd have been wiser to work for 2-3 months see if the team is really capable of making the mod and than start the talking. Most mods that started with big threads in this forum talking about what a great mod they will make, died after short time. Just experience.

Noticed that in one of the VBS1 pdfs it's said that CoC's next version of the Command Engine will be exclusively done as a new feature for VBS. Sad to hear that, was really waiting for that one

I've been waiting for some nice german units fro so long, thank you guys. Although on the screens at least they appear pretty skin. I liked the looks of Blackblood's British troops or SFP's troops concerning that matter.

I only have a laptop and am using it a lot like a normal desktop PC for playing OFP, bittorrent and other stuff but also for other more mobile tasks in uni. One of the big advantages is that you don't have too much to carry when going to a LAN game, you can easily take it with you when on holiday or travelling somewhere and it doesn't use the space of a big desktop PC (quite important for poor students living on 15-20m˛). I bought it in January, paid 1350 € for it and OFP and other games like HL2 or BF2 run very good on it. Here are the specs: Cebop Top 900 P-M 745 1.8Ghz 1024MB Samsung PC2700 Mobility Radeon 9700 256MB 80GB Fujitsu 15.4" WXGA I can only recommend to get a Laptop.

During a mission I noticed two bugs. First thing, when deploying the tripod from the Maxim it always faces north. Second thing, tanks don't want to cross bridges. Not on the normal summer island nor on the winter island.
