That was in 2.0 as well if I remember correctly. I just have a question. Why not use the SEF LAV? It's better looking and carry 6 people.

TB I think it's the best FFUR patch yet. Thank you for the hard work. Suddenly I don't feel so bad about not being able to run ArmA on my old comp. Downloading.

Hey man. Recommended no addons campaigns- 1) Retaliation- Shows the Soviet perspective on the Everon conflict. Erase "red hammer" and put this one in. You won't regret it. 2) Too young to die- The Russians are invading Malden and your'e a simple Marine. Very hard/realistic campaign with a touching story. 3) Abandoned armies- It's a one mission campaign. You don't know what you're missing. It's like a separate RPG game. Just try it.

They changed it to an Army pack. The models and such are much better, but there are also less features. Guess it's back to basics for the Mod team. Though PLA 4.0 was mentioned on this forum. But look at the bright side, they no longer have the crappy (In my opinion) OPFOR units. So you can put them against the latest HYK Inf pack for example.

Ok Model wish-list: Tunguska/SA-13 (From the MTLB pack/SCLA)/SA-8 (Project MCAR) to compensate for the US M6, and a Mi-28 for the Russians. There is a Striker addon by VIX. If it can be finished and properly integrated into FFSX instead of the old M133... Also how about footmunche's F-35? There are operational F-22's in the real world. But since there is no quality addon for them, the F-35 might do. SF/Spetsnaz: Assault class with silenced Rifle/GL/Scope+ pistol. AT class, silenced with the light AT weapons (AT4/RPG-7). Designated marksmen for US, since the Russians already have the VSS. It all saves allot of "AddWeapon" lines, and briefing mess with weapons selection. -I know it's long so whatever is possible to add, will be great- Got to say it again, great Mod! The changes in the AI are felt too. It's not safe to ambush a convoy anymore, they actually get out of the trucks and fight!

Well I know it's not real and I hope it stays that way, since I live in the region. Just though I'd try it. Any way keep on with those Saudi versions, it's always nice to see something else than the usual EU/US/Rus theme that we have in OFP. -

Hm.. Saudi planes, I'm gonna try this with the Lost brothers mod. Looks nice in the screens. BTW what's the difference between the ADV and the IDS versions? And how do you implement this ingame? -

In this case the question is- Has ArmA been released in China? If so seeing a PLA mod in ArmA will be great.

Well it's always possible to not install the Resistance vegetation and buildings, and put in FFUR 2006 islands still availibale at filefront. TB you wrote further tweaks would come. If you can please fix the grass issue first of all. The resistance foliage is better for low-spec computers, then Berghoffs nature packs.

After hearing all the bad stuff about ArmA, BIS are bound to make a better game this time around. Another disappointment and they might lose lots of support. And they know it. I think BIS haven't said the last word yet.

I know that the US SF is usually wearing the same type of uniform as the regulars. However the SF might have different vests, or an NVG on their helmet and so on. I'm not saying every SF is using those, but representing them ingame will look better IMO.

Hey man. I encountered only one unusable tank- The Egyptian M60A3, which dosen't fire the main gun. I reported the bug after the release, so it will probably be fixed in any future update. -
The tanks are unbalanced with FFSX, but nevertheless I loved what they did with that Type-97 IFV. Nice work on the interior there.

I would also point out the US SF model. Maybe I don't understand something, but they just don't look SF. Putting a green helmet and another pouch isn't helping. I would suggest to use the SF Saboteur model from the HYK 2.5 pack.

Tried to download it about a month ago. No luck, but as far as I know they removed the arty/AI features and made a simple army pack. They did add the new Type-97 IFV however. It's the Chinese version of the BMP-3.

OK a few remarks - 1. I run the replacement pack install, but when I run the "Launch the MOD.exe" it says that the pack is not installed. I press Enter - install, run it again and - it says- "replacement pack not installed". 2. I managed to activate the Mod via the "-mod=" parameter. No resistance objects visible. (I only checked Madlen so far) 3.Why was the Tunguska taken out? The US still has the M6. 4.When I get into an empty tank I'm in a turn out position. This causes problems with the T-62's gunner. As in the T-62 there is no turn out option for the gunner. (Not critical as far as I'm concerned but I still thought it should be reported) 5. All the bugs I had problems with in the previous version have been fixed. Thanks.

The thing is that these are most of the conflicts that happen today. Warfare have changed since the 1980's. It is more counter insurgency and it needs to be shown in a game which pretends to be the ultimate modern/realistic war experience. And if you want conventional still, why not Taiwan?

The one thing I don't like about what I saw in the ARMA 2 site, is the former soviet republic issue. I mean it's 3 games (OFP,ARMA,ARMAII) with US vs Russian equipment/tactics. How about fighting in the mid-east involving the Israeli-Arab conflict, an invasion of Taiwan, an operation in Africa/Darfur and so on. Or at least fantasy conflict based on one of those issues. My feeling is that BIS is just stretching the cold war issue, story wise.

The Zulficar has a smaller turret than the M1A2 though. It's more of a box shape. But I prefer to see the Syrians ingame. That way we could fight against good old Soviet equipment in a setting other than the Soviet vs USA theme.
