  1. @marine26thmeu

Hmm, are you running the game with the -nomap and/or -nosplash commands? I used to have a similar problem (I think), this is how I dealt with it:

Right click on shortcut > Properties > In the "Target" box after C:\Program Files\OFP (or whatever) add "-nosplash" and/or "-nomap" (without quotations)

    That should make it work

If the error is in-game then perhaps some addons are missing and you might need to reinstall the game.

It seems that a new FFUR is approaching so if I were you I wouldn't bother unleas you really wanted to play it badly biggrin_o.gif

    Hope it works!

    |There could also be other reasons like graphics issues or the Game itself is corrupted in some way, but it dosn't seem like a graphical issue (or sound) and if it was working before FFUR then it can't be the game|

  2. I think the US army invented the "Cadence" sort of thing. The Soviet army sung patriotic styled songs, and it would usually be rare to find them singing in the Cadence style. I know there are loads of Soviet marches and songs, but I've never heard anything to that style in Russian.

If you do manage to find somthing like that in Russian then you can slap me free of charge. thumbs-up.gif

E: Ohh I see the poll is still at 50/50!

  3. Is he santa!? ...no I thought not!

What about some kind of Hunter? All alone in the North Nogovan Hills? Poor guy... confused_o.gif

An outlaw/fugitive with scruffy clothes, forced to live far from society, to a quiet part of the world called Everon in a forest... or Deset Island tounge2.gif

  4. I just found out somthing that you might be interested in:

    http://world.guns.ru/assault/as02-e.htm

    It's the AK-74M

Quote[/b] ]AK-74M. The latest variant, issued to the Russian troops since early 1990s. Key differences from the earlier AK-74 rifles are the side-folding plastic buttstock and the scope mounting rail on the left side of the receiver.

I was just thinking for "realism" perhaps it would be more appropriate to use this gun rather than an AK-47 with the Ru Soldiers (and perhaps the Defence Force aka Resistance). I know I've seen one around for OFP somewhere. Just a suggestion though.

I just hope it isn't too late to post this...

  5. Hey I know it's been mentioned somewhere before in the OFFTOPIC forum but I know this tool will be of use to you:

    Google Earth

It's a tool that you can install onto your computer and look anywhere in the world with digitally clear images.

Or if that dosn't work you can try:

    maps.google.com

It isn't as clear as Google Earth but it still does a pretty good job, and you don't need to install anything to use it.

That should help some of you make more "realistic islands" if you ever need map info.

  6. It would be cool to see a "slightly futuristic" mod with such weapons from Halo or possibly the 2 SMGs from Half Life 2. But I don't know any addons with that kind of stuff. confused_o.gif

    I still think it's a good concept though! biggrin_o.gif

For now though perhaps you should concentrate on sorting out the few bugs in FFUR 5.0? There's nothing like the feeling of a finished "job well-done!" wink_o.gif

  7. In the screenshots what settings have you put the FlashFX config on? Those look loads more beautifull than what I've got (even though it's still very impressive). I hope it isn't a Photoshop effect! help.gif

    OH BTW

To anyone who's having the "Send" "Don't Send" error here's what to do!

Go to your FFUR shortcut, right click and go into properties. From there in the "Target" box add "-nomap" (without the " " ) and click apply. It should work.

IF that still dosn't work look for a "-nosplash" in the box. If it isn't there you'll have to add it in.

Remeber add this bit of coding at the end of the box (after your game directory)

    Hope this helps!

  8. Well technically "on foot" would beat "on road."

It's a bit difficult for a gunner to keep his aim while speeding through rough terrain. And it don't take much to jump out of a vehicles way if it's travelling under 40 (I should know... unfortunatelly confused_o.gif ). All the rifleman has to do is shoot the tyres/ radiator/windows etc. and the vehicle crew is screwed.
