I can't be arsed writing the name of where I live, so here's a picture: This pic was taken in Snowdonia around Cwm Idwal: Nothing really militaristic, but I think it would be cool to see the landscape in one of the OFPs

I like to go along the lines of - "The Amazon is so large that there are probably species unknown to man inside." If that's the case then there is a chance that we'll find a race of super-killers that will start spreading, or a new kind of disease will infect the workers that will be sent back to Brazil and so on. Nature will think of somthing... or we're screwed.

Even if it is compatible it will be impossible to find a game that uses FFUR, or that people might be playing on it.

I don't know if any of you have thought of this, and I'm not sure it entirely fits in to this category, but have any of you thought of Tunnel Networks? Like the ones the NVA used in the Vietnam War, or like Rebels used in the Afghanistan war?

I though Forgotten Hope to be an excllent mod that re equalized the realism/fun aspects of BF1942. But TBH I agree with Monkey, if you just want to go all Die Hard Private Winston Churchill guns blazing go for the BF series. I've fallen out of my seat laughing more than once at some point while playing the game (such as a full team of VC charging a tank with mechetes or blaring "Ride of the Valkiries" on a moped while storming a heavily armoured position on BFV). I'm not saying OFP isn't fun, but the lack of seriousness with the BF series wins me over every time. And let's look at things, the only reason OFP keeps on going is because of dedicated mod makers, and the engine's flexibility. While on the other side, the BFs have proven they can live on just a few popular mods (like Desert Combat).

Seriously, i think the BF series lost its "seriousness" with Secret Weapons of WW2. If you've seen the opening vid you'll know what I mean. But who the hell cares! It's a great idea (if you have the PC to run it). Personally I would find it hilarious to sneak up on someone and hit them with the defibrillators and see them flying in the air, if it was implemented in the game. I also think that it's a good trophy game, show it off to ya' mates! The only thing i can really slap BF2 for is the system requirements, check this: I don't know about you, but how many PCs come with a 512mb ram standard? And the recommended is 1GB!!

TBH I don't really see much point worring about the nationalists. Let's face it, the majoraty of nationalists are the older generation, still feeling pride that their country was great having done somthing in one of the two wars (that goes for Germany and Austria too). It is also the older generation that is currently running the EU and many of it's countries. In thirty years time the "Modern Generation" would've taken over and old barriers would start collapsing. This is just my opinion now but perhaps in 100 years or so the separate countries in Europe could merge with one big superpower blossoming out as a concequence. This would definately put an end to many issues. But of course, I won't be alive to see that happening, like many others. I just think time is the one thing that will sort everything out, our children or grandchildren - the real solution to Europe's problems.

Yay! A combo! It's a shame you can't have some kind of menu deciding if you want to switch off certain effects. I know it's possible with ECP, but I'm referring to effects from multiple creators.

Well I guess so, I really was commenting on the quality of the vehicles/units made. But then again, FFUR borrow units from other addons mods, right? Oh and I will be downloading both mods upon their release!
