    I like the rain

I don't know what it is about it, but I really enjoy the rain. Maybe it's the visual effect, maybe it's the background sound of rain, I don't know. All I know is, I like the missions where it's raining.

    Sniper range crashes to desktop

Not being the world's best OFP player I'm in the habit of making use of the one save allowed per mission. Maybe I'll get good enough never to need a save. Anyway, while playing Sniper Range, the training mission by The Omega, sometimes the game crashes out to the desktop when loading from a saved game. If it crashes once then the crash is repeatable and I have no choice but to restart the mission from the beginning. Sometimes the saved game loads fine, and will keep loading fine. The only difference I can see is that I'll be at different positions on the map (trying different routes) when saving. Is the map position relevant? The game version is GotY, v1.91

    The search and destroy mission

In pretty much a straight line from the start to the yellow target designator. Just take it slowly and carefully.

    After montignac?

Up to you. If you take the binoculars and LAW launcher from the downed squaddie in front of you then you run the risk of being nailed by enemy goons closing in from 2 o'clock and 10 o'clock. If you're quick and accurate you can try to take down various goons from a distance while hidden in bushes, but expect them to flush you out if you get it wrong. The easiest and safest - but by far the slowest - way is to forget you have any weapons and just sneak from bush to bush. Don't worry about trying to get all the way to the original evac. point; you'll never make it. You'll get assigned an alternate evac. point fairly early in the mission.

How to order the use of a specific weapon

Use the F1-F12 keys to select specific soldiers. Do not select multiple soldiers, else the Action (6) menu won't contain any instructions. Once you've issued one soldier with an instruction select another soldier and repeat.

    The search and destroy mission

Points. I started sniping goons as well, for the fun of it.

    The search and destroy mission

I did it by leaving all the grunts at the start point, then sneaking alone up to the lip of the valley which contains the Scud and other armoured vehicles. I hid in a bush and nailed the Scud across the valley with a LAW, went prone until the goons stopped searching for me, then repeated the process with each of the two Shilkas in the area. Only then did I order the tanks and choppers to do their thing. Lastly I ordered my crew to go Stealth and join me. While they were taking care of anything between me and the extraction point (hell, they're expendable, after all ) I slowly sneaked back to meet them, then crept to the exit point.

How to order the use of a specific weapon

You need to do it one soldier at a time. It's menu 6 (Action).

    Your opinions of the campaigns.

No? Just remember that it took only one week for a certain farmboy to leave his home planet and blow up the Death Star... Don't believe me? Watch it again, and work out the timeframe.

    Incursion how to win ?

I can't remember what I got for that mission. Granted, it wasn't as "exciting" playing it that sneakily, but it got the job done with minimal risk to yours truly. The next time I played it I took the same route, but once I got to Guba's house I hid in the bushes and sniped all the goons. By the time the BMPs came to investigate I'd purloined an RPG-75 launcher and was able to dispose of them with ease. Got a massive score for that time around.

Red dawn: guba not in uaz, goty v1.91

Strange. I restarted the mission and he appeared as normal, in the UAZ. Oh well. Must have been a glitch.

    Aternative strategies

While playing Wake Up Call I ditched the satchel charges and picked up the RPG-75 launcher off the first bunch of goons. Wasting the patrolling BMP brought two of the Shilkas sniffing around, using up all three RPG-75s. The remaining Shilka was taken care of by stealing one of the T72s from the nearby base (where one of the Shilkas used to be) and tooling on over to its location, shooting down the pesky Hind on the way.

    Your opinions of the campaigns.

I'm only partway through Resistance, so I can't really proffer an opinion on it. The other two, however... Red Hammer was a blast. I giggled maniacally all the way through it, right up until the last mission. What was up with that? Plant three bombs, then grab a boat and scarper? Hardly a fitting finale for such a hilarious campaign. The original CWC is my favourite so far since it's so involving. I can lose myself for hours in it. My favourite mission is After Montignac, playing hide-and-seek with all those Russians. It had an edge to it which the other solo missions (mainly Gastovski's) didn't have.
