Regarding: Any chance of a screenshot of the "new" GRU guys in their Gorka and/or Gorka-R uniforms? I know I seem eager, but its like a heroin addiction with you guys: "You just can't get enough." Well, until you overdose, but hopefully this doesn't happen with .pbo's. -AK
-
Any chance of seeing some officer's and that wearing Ushanka fur hats come the Winter-cam pack? Those are some damn nice hats, quality ones at least. -AK
-
Perhaps a "standard" AK-74 would be better, as the AKS-74U may not be available. As I'm led to believe, the AKS-74 is in short supply, highly valued over the AKS-74U. Obviously he wouldn't have as many magazines as a "regular" infantryman. -AK

I've noticed a slight "glossy Sheen" on most of your uniforms, in regards to Flora-B and the GRU Recon in their Lesnaya or Taiga pattern uniforms. It would seem that "Regular Flora" is fine, but VSR, Flora-B, Lesnaya, and Tagia have this odd gloss that they probably shouldn't have. -AK

This looks like it is from FM-100-60, designating a Soviet-style formation. I'm gonna say that its still useful, although on-paper types and numbers of kit will have changed for Russian Federation troops. -AK
-
Odd that I'd forget about those, considering I was shooting at them not five minutes ago. Something must be wrong with my mind. [i mean besides the obvious faults.] -AK
-
Yeah, that's what I guessed but I wasn't sure... therego I asked for clarification. Everything looks top-notch, I hope we can get at some equally kickass American regulars in the near future to pit these guys against. -AK
-
I was always under the impression that GRU was the "Army KGB." So in reality, they're recce troops. Learn something everyday... MLF - What pack are you referring to? AK
-
I'm all for HellFish's idea. It'll save time, or you could distribute ORBAT's for a Russian Federation Motor-Rifle Battalion, down to platoon and squad level. With regards to weapons, they will have "New & Improved" sights right? Accurate reticles and the like? -AK

I cannot and I won't speak for the RHS team, but I can say that the RPG-7 [Generally with some kind of optics for it, so RPG-7V, etc.] is very common amongst Russian troops, moreso than an RPG-29 or an RPG-16d, for example. The RPD is out of service I believe, it's been replaced with the RPK-47 and RPK-74 weapons - both of which can also handle a drum magazine. The PK and PKMs also see extensive use, obviously. I'd like to hear a definitive answer from the RHS Team on this matter of issued weapons. Perhaps some screenshots of the RHS Weapons Pack? *Looks hopeful* -AK

Damn, this stuff looks great. Too many screens for me to post all of them on OFPBase, I think I'll just put up this T-80B and that'll do. Great work guys. -AK
-
Nice to see this kind of input. I'm sure RHS appreciates it. @Tankie: Stalking me, are we now? AK

Slightly differnt models if possible, rolled sleeves and the like.[Edit: In regards to Desert uniforms and winters] You've shown remarkable attention to detail thus far, hopefully desert troops and the guys in the Winter Overs will kick as much ass as these latest screens show. 'Course, one thing at a time. Are there any detailed shots of the weapons pack available? AK

Suggestion for weapon addition: SVD-K sniper rifle, chambered in 9.3x64mm, which is an intensely powerful cartridge for its size. [bit larger than 7.62x54R, actually, much larger but smaller than 12.7] I'll source some images and the like in a bit, send those to you via PM if you want. -AK

I'm not so fond of VSR as I am of Flora patterns, but since you said you'll be making them in Flora [Or at least some of 'em] alongside some cam-cover assault vests/flak vests then I'm more than happy. I've got a set of Flora hanging in my closet alongside some of my Russian web kit and an Airsoft AK-47, but I'm in no mood to make a fool of myself either. AK
-
Damn, these look fantastic. Best VSR I've seen since UCE, that's for sure. Looking forward to these as much as I'm looking forward to UKRMOD releasing more kit. Can you say Border Skirmish? AK

Now, I don't know if this is outside the "Realm of Possibility" for anything less than a total conversion, but breaking down Mortars and the like for proper employement later, including things such as the NSV and KORD heavy machineguns for manpack - hopefully in a supporting role for an upcoming attack, I don't know if that's possible for anything less than the aforementioned Total Conversion. Surely, its not a lot of work, but it'd add a lot, I am sure of that. Perhaps it could be considered, after some of the more 'pressing' concerns have been taken care of - IE: newer tanks, if you've got 'em on the go, and these infantrymen. AK
-
Two thumbs way up. Sounding excellent. *Immense feeling of joy.* AK

In some cases, and the emphasis is on some, in regards to infantry, merely patches can be changed, that and camouflage uniforms. The equipment hasn't changed a whole lot. In regards to the screenshot of the Motor-Rifle infantrymen. That's fantastic. The VSR [sometimes called "Schoefield" and I have no clue why] is great. The Flora pattern, outstanding, although as has been mentioned it has one or two many creases and/or wrinkles, but it looks amazing nonethless. Judging from what I can see, they've both got AK-74 rifles... in orange fiberglass. Prompts the question: "Are you making your own rifles?" I know I've seen screens of them before... back when RHS was called RSS. Edit: The hands DO look kinda off. Perhaps changing them back into "Default" hands would be the best choice. -AK

*Has stroke after listening to Jackal's justified venting over MSN and spews blood onto carpet from ears.* Edit: I'm all for having a completely new set of weapons. But considering that Jackal has already obtained permission to edit an excellent pack of weapons, and he's already done so, there's no point in him going back and redoing work that's already done. Also, the point Jackal made about you not going off on ToW like you have SJB here for the exact same thing is valid, and yet because you showed no output for a total of 4 weeks you were fired, which you described earlier as "Taking a Break" you are rather embittered towards whatever progress the SJB team might make. Which is understandable, but since I'm informed you were fired some time ago, I'm thinking one needs to see the present. AK

A "Balance Pack" with these same MFR and a set of Spetsnaz in Winter and Desert fatigues would be a nice touch. AK
-
Personally, I'm looking forward to this mod. I'm gonna love pitting Canadians on Italians, Canadians on Germans *Cough* ORTONA *Cough* so on so forth. And its all quality kit so far. Sweet. AK
-
And after that, we saw a whole lotta other kit. Some of it quality. But the joys of having an air-droppable IFV with a bigass gun on it... So, back to the topic at hand. What vehicles are you planning on making or reskinning in Nogovan Defense Force colours, and are there any updates on the NDF infantrymen? -AK
-
That looks a lot like the Russians just copied an effective APC design from the Germans WW2 Sonderkraftfarzungen-type vehicles. AK

To me, Grad is the diminuitive of Gorod - Both meaning City. So this ZIL-131GRAD would be what, exactly? Of course, since GRAD was capitalized and appeared to be either an abbreviation or a acroynm for something, I'll repeat my question in a slightly more logical manner: What would a ZIL-131GRAD truck be, exactly? AK
