  1. Still adding to the off-topic leaning of this thread:

KOTOR boring?...hmmm...not for me, but I guess you'll have to like RPGs and the SW galaxy a lot to find it interesting.

Other games to have an eye on if you are starting your Xbox (Live) "career":

    - Top Spin (Live) yes, I know, it's Tennis...but it's fun over Xbox Live!!

    - PGR2 (Live) best online racing game!!

    - NFL Fever 2004 (Live) IMHO, better than the other Football title

    - Morrowind (non-Live) the best RPG I've ever played.

Games to definately look out for in the future (additionally to the ones SpecOp9 mentioned):

    - Fable (non-Live) This awesome RPG title by the team around Peter Molyneux will rock more than any game before!!

    - Hitman: Contracts (non-Live) You are a professional killer and have to fulfill contracts on ppl's heads...goodie-goodie

    - Unreal 2 (Live) Well, I don't like it, but it is something for the Run&Kill-CS-gamers amongst us.

    - RalliSport Challenge 2 (Live) There is yet to be a game inveted, who can beat those graphics and the gameplay of this monster

    - Spawn Armageddon (non-Live) Brilliant porting of the Spawn comics 1-99 in a game...blood-galore!!

    - EA Fight Night 2004 (Non-Live) Neat Boxing title...create your own Iron Mike or Real Deal and fight up the ladder in career mode.

Edit: Oh, and btw: The graphics in Splinter Cell: P.T. are breath-taking!!! Just played it yday for the first time.

  2. The released date still says scheduled for Summer 04 sad_o.gif

Argh!  I want a suprise released, when all of a sudden I see OFP on the Xbox shelf and then nearly faint because I don't have enough money to BUY THE DAMN THING!

Please no suprise release date sad_o.gif  I like knowing exactly when something will become of avail.

Most likely not before Fall 04 you mean, hm? sad_o.gif

Got that info from a VERY trustworthy source. (Will name no names!!)

  3. OFP2: So close to war, you'll get flashbacks and tell your grandkids you did this all for real

    LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!! I love this one!!!!!!!!!  biggrin_o.gif  biggrin_o.gif  biggrin_o.gif

This is the best I have ever read...

"You see kiddos...and through that we defeated General Guba and hurled him and his Russian swamp feeders off Nogova"

    How about:

OFP2: I still know what you will do all summer ghostface.gif

OFP2: "How about you go out and I stay here and finish that map?"

OFP2: Carefull! Contents may cause loss of Sex!

OFP2: Warning: May cause loss of girlfriend!

  4. I am in the lucky position to own a Xbox through my job and I will not have to pay "a lot" to get the copy of OFP for Xbox.

That is why: Yes, I will get it and I will try playing OFP via Xbox Live for several reasons:

    1. It will be much less lag-infected (Xbox Live uses Broadband only!)

    2. Once used to the controller config, I will probably kick some serious butt through having played the PC version for years. har-har-har biggrin_o.gif

    3. The option of: Switch on, BAMN, right into the action (w/o having to config it, looking for a TS channel, waiting for a game to finish (ever waited for a CTI to finish???))

Seriously though, JIG and my job connection with the Xbox are the main factors why I will try it out.

As I am a mission designer, I WILL miss the editor, but I am looking forward on which DL content BIS will have to offer.

well...I am looking forward to kill some of you...now on my TV as well blues.gif

  5. Well, since I DO have an Xbox, I DO have Xbox Live (as soon as the friggin phone co. manages to finally turn the switch to my DSL), I WILL buy OFP:Xbox and I AM A_M [sWAF], I will truely represent [sWAF] on Xbox Live as well...;)

So If you wanna hook up a neat coop: Holla my way.

  6. Centurion?? I was talking about decent MBTs......Centurion has 60 (!!!) 105 rounds and gets taken out with one Sabot

And that Swissmod Leo2 is ok, but the texture sucks and why on earth does it have two different sized shells? 120mm Sabot and 105mm HEAT...so the barrel is shrinking when you reload the HEAT??

Also the MG bullets do a neat but unrealistic "effet" to the middle.....

I like the Leo from the BW Mod...texturing, weaponary, crew...everything is alright on that...but the whole BW Mod is too big, just to have a nice tank.

  7. *snuggles on Avon Lady for being so understanding* smile_o.gif

Ty also @ Mr burns...but the thing is:

    The BAS pack will be:

    - big

    - desert camo (everused desert camo in a non-desert map?)

    - big

    - only ready in a while

the T80UM1 I saw too...but that one is still in the works too, and we (SWAF) would need a decent Nato tank in exchange.

Thanx 4 the heads-up regarding the Swissmod Leo2...I will check it out.

  8. Hello to all skilled addon-makers out there,

I was wondering if it was too much to ask from any (group) of you, to create a NON-WW2-, non-Vietnam-, non-standart-OFP-tank?

I was thinking a decent Leo2 (without having to install a ridicolously big Addon pack like FinMod or BW Mod) or a good addaptation of a Challenger 2.

That would be such a treat.

I liked the CDA M1A1, but then again it had that crew bug and it was another Abrahams.

Is there anyone out there who has spare time on his hands and is interested in this?

  9. About getting deaf... You'd hear your ears ring after you have continiously fired a M249 SAW. Would be nice if this was implemented in the game.

Belive me...I have what you want to have implemented on OFP2 in RL for 9 years now....a constant ring of the ears...24/7/365.....nothing really funny. I don't think stuff like that needs implementing in a game. wink_o.gif

  10. When in a tank with a gunner (and commander) it's not your job as driver to look around anyway.

That's what most players don't understand! The gunner can't move it's turret when the driver is turned out. So by turning out in a mission (other than a spectator's-sightseeing-mission) you make your tank, and therefore yourself vunarable to enemy units, since the gunner can't take a shot at them, as long as they are not at 12 o'clock.

That's like riding on a bus with a huge "Shoot me" sign on both sides, with one guy straped to your bus' roof with a gun but you hold the bullets. So when an enemy turns up, he can yell: "Give me the bullets!" but by the time you passed them over, you both are dead already.

  11. one quick and simple question:

    What for?

As stated by edc, the only thing it would do is make the driver an easy target. I wonder why anyone would turn out in a tank?? makes no sense, since you can see the same while inside just using the "scope" view for the driver. PLUS: You won't block the turret from moving. (like ppl who don't know how to play the game)
