I think it looks cool. If it plays well and is still evenly matched to default BIS vehicles, I'd definately use it in a mission. Asmo

Some good stories in here! I'll add my bit to it: (it's long because it was crazy and involved) I was testing a helo mission I'm making for BAS on Tonal Island. I landed my HH-60 on the edge of a firefight involving the Delta squad I was picking up against 2 armed UAZ's along with at least 2 squads of militia. I hear bullets clinking off the hull but my gunner isn't firing! I think he's on cease fire so I hit fire again, then it says cease fire, so I hit fire again and the gun starts firing like crazy. This is happening while the Delta's are scrambling to get in the helo with bullets flying everywhere. I see that most of the Delta's are in, the side minigun is still firing away and has been the whole time. (I'm watching from a right-hand side view while on the ground so I can watch incoming enemy troops) And then I notice the Delta's getting out of the helo! It was only damaged about half way and the engine was running so they shouldn't have got out. I look from a different view and notice about 4 dead Delta's next to the left minigun. I take off due to militia members firing an RPG at me and luckily missing. As I'm flying, the gunner is still shooting! Even when I completely changed direction, constant fire... Then an A10 that was giving me air support during the pickup attacks me! Somehow I get away from it, hit cease fire, look at my gunner and he's dead! He must have been dead the entire time, and when I hit fire again it killed the 4 Delta's!! He still showed up under my command the whole time though! Then I finally get back to the airbase and they kill me when I get within range of the nearest Vulcan. All I can say is that was intense, I had no idea what the hell happened, and it felt like a real battle! Asmo

Yeah, it seems to me (though I'd never speak on their behalf) that the BIS team is probably more focused on doing all that  difficult coding for OFP2.  (because they just recently finished Xbox version, right?) So yeah, they made a great military tactical combat simulation game and released their custom tools that allows the great community to make great addons that allows people to get really cool stuff for free when they have OFP!    And now they're doing that for OFP2.   I think they have a good plan and support the community like no other developers I've seen.  lol, I feel all nostalgic.  It's true though, it's a truly amazing, even life changing military tactical combat simulation game for many people that I've met across the world.  Asmo *Edit* (changed "game" to "military tactical combat simulation game" because it's more correct. )

lol Ok, update: I have just finished the intro. I am working on the breifing, some final things with objectives, markers, radio messages, and then it will be done! Also, I am working on an MP co-op version and that should be available with the impending TMCM release! More info soon, keep in mind that a little ofp work takes a lot of effort with my current schedule. (worked 12 hours 2 days this week so far, but I'm glad to have a job of course) Remember, all those that die in TMCM missions will go to hog heaven. Asmo

What time is that?  Ok, if my interpretations of what  http://greenwichmeantime.com tells me is correct.... In Sydney Australia it's GMT + 10. In Arizona USA it's GMT - 7. Wait a minute, that works out to 7 AM, the previous day.  Saturday for me...  Right?  (forgive me, I'm tired and I don't have any more time for calculating time) Asmo *Edit* Nevermind, I couldn't let it go and figured it out... Ok, 7 AM Sunday morning.... That's early after a night of partying on Saturday! I'll try my best though, I know how everyone loves to shoot the moderators...

@ [ZG]buzzard Thank you. @ noundo and supergrunt and all others looking for updates I apologize for the lack of updates recently. My company has recently launched a national sales campaign and things have been crazy. I've decided to just do a very simple intro, finish the last specks of the mission and ship it out. It won't be as good as I wanted, but it will have to do. So, I can't give a timeframe, but I do have free time this weekend and will do my very best to finish it. This has been a long, long journey for all involved and it will be over soon, one way or another! Asmo

Hi! Â I posted an answer about this somewhere on these forums awhile ago, but who knows where it's at now... I did find this thread that I started at the EC forums on Oct 9th 2002 though: I never knew that the viewdistance command changes it for all units! Also quite strange and interesting that it affects the IR scanner for the tanks and the radar for the aircraft! Asmo

Ok everyone... An update for you. I apologize for the delay, I had to travel to my Grandma's funeral recently, plus a lot of other RL stuff has been getting in the way for the EC team in general. However, we are now even closer to release. I will have a full beta available soon (like within the next 2 days if everything goes good), then it just needs Tomb's thumbsup and we'll release the pack and mission! More info ASAP. Asmo

Strange, what exact bug is this you speak of? I've recently experienced the inability to tell my AI to get out of a boat in a Co-op mission using the FDF mod, but never had the trouble of not being able to get out myself when commander! I take it you're playing with V1.96 patch? Asmo

What makes me do it and what do I get out of it? 1. Â I do it for the community, it's the greatest! Â 2. Â I get experience that might help me move forward with my career of choice (game design, anything with game design). 3. Â I do it for the creation of fun in others and I get fun out of it. 4. Â I do it for the mod(s) I'm in. Problems? Â 1. Â Lack of time to do all the things I have planned, want to do, or people need my help on. LOL, thanks ruff! Â Yeah, my friend likes hard missions, this is his favorite. Â And I agree, it's definately beatable, you just have to use a lot of the resources and limited cover available. Â Thanks! Â The reason I haven't finished this or the many other missions I have in the works is that I'm doing demo missions for BAS as well as the TMCM release right now and that takes all of my OFP time. Â I'll post an update for this mission when I'm able, we'll see how things go. Â I'm really glad you liked it, and glad Chem Warfare still left an impression. Â Â Asmo P.S. I've seen ideas before for getting more quality missions made for OFP. I've thought of a way of helping mission makers get more beta testers and help. So, my idea is for a system to promote mission making/beta testing by: Getting a large group of addon makers to agree to let certain people that qualify and agree to a privacy agreement can get exclusive behind the scenes looks at new addons and missions being made by the mods. They can give feedback and directly effect the way that the addons they love are created by giving much needed "general person" point of view feedback! The way people would qualify could be done a few ways. People that beta test missions. Â For each post of feedback they can give, the mission maker can give them a point if they think it is earned. (a spam post, for example, wouldn't get a point because it didn't help, same goes for "This mission sucked." and unhelpful things like that) People that make quality missions can earn points (more than beta testers slightly) by vote of representatives from the mods, or by vote of beta testers or by vote of all the mission makers. I personally think this could help! Sometimes people need initiative to seriously help others and let me tell you that beta testing and/or making a mission from the start to the end is a serious deal, time consuming and most of the time boring. This is why there are so few finished missions out there, and why mission makers don't get the beta testing they need sometimes to make their missions good and finish it. There would probably have to be some sort of "board" or whatever that keeps things running smoothly and settles any debates over points given and not given, etc. If anyone needs clarification on these ideas, let me know and I'll try to elaborate.
