  1. Thank you for the honorable mention bohnicz! I've been away for a very long time, but I still like following mentions of our Submarine project from time to time. Â Â I feel we did overcome engine limitations... things just simply weren't meant to go underwater. Â We even had the honor of having a certain BIS member beta test our sub and give some very appreciated feedback. Â (Thank you very much!     Help me understand.

    That was an excellent post (this one: Posted: Aug. 15 2004,10:48 ) General Barron and I completely agree. Â I think the right to own guns point is a huge one. Â Why do people look down on America for retaining this right? Â Do those people really think that people that have legal guns are shooting each other on purpose all the time, or is it usually black market guns that would still be around anyway if there was a gun ban? Â Â (Just to think about the criminals here, they probably hope for guns to be banned, they could rob anyone's house without worrying about being shot) Anyways, something I'd like to say as well is that in my opinion America is focusing on "policing the world" way too much due to very questionable oil ties and without a global majority support when we could stay more within our own borders and focus on other means of transportation and security. Â It is very understandable that a great amount of people are upset because they are affected by this in many ways and I can see that. Unfortunately these types of things are not usually up for vote, and in my opinion the last few choices for President for my country have been attempts to decide who is the "least worst" choice.   9. Hello everyone, I'm looking for help in beta testing a couple missions before I submit them for the MEC (mission editing competition). I have a SP and a Co-op that I could really use more feedback on. The SP can obviously be tested at any time, but the Co-op I want to test with as many people as possible at once, so we will need to set up a testing time. I can't give any details at this point for obvious reasons, but please contact me if you liked my other missions and/or want to help! Thanks in advance, Asmo P.S.   16. Yeah, if it was me... I wouldn't care. Â I know certain people feel differently, but I don't. Â I make no money (yet) off of what I do for OFP and I think it's cool if people want to learn/use from what I do. Â I will ask you this Pathy: A. Â How sure are you that the contact method you are using is/was current? B. Â Does this addonmaker check these forums? Â If not, have you posted in forums he is likely to check? The point I'm trying to make is have you exhausted all efforts to contact him? Â If so then I say go for it and comply with any problems he may have at a later time. Asmo

  18. Well, that is the challenge... Â What I had in mind was asking for help and then selecting those that I trust. Â I've been reading the forums alot more than posting and feel I know a lot of the members and could make a decently informed decision. Also another factor is that all the mission designers I've ever seen have a certain "flair". Â So there's not much worry for me if someone try's to steal my mission or concepts, because usually there's a few key people out there that can back up the origins of such things. Â Another thing I was wondering is are the judges going to unpbo the mission and look at the designing? Â The trigger placement, sync techniques and such also give hints as to who the author is in my experience and I wanted to make sure you thought of it. Â Â The big thing is that the people that are beta testing currently for me have VERY limited time. Plus there are only up to 5 of us for Co-op testing and I want to try a full 12 at least once before submission. Thanks for the response, any suggestions now that I've clarified a bit? Â Asmo

I would like to know how we are to request Beta testing for the mission editing competition. Â Since there is supposed to be anonymity I'm thinking public beta testing would be banned....     Thank you very much Indy! Â It worked like a charm and I now have the joy of utilizing all of it. Â So far it works great but I do have a FPS hit, though I haven't messed with my settings to optimize yet. Once again, this rules and thank you very much Keg and feersum!!! Â Asmo

    DXDLL 1.0 (not Geforce MX compatible)

    Hi there Kegety's and feersum!  First I'd like to say that I love what you're doing here, as well as what you've done in the past for OFP and it's community.   Kegety's, I know your additions are always sorely needed, highly original and amazing in general!  I installed DxDLL and the "Reflections, trilinear filtering, sharpen user interface and handle printscreen key" functions are working great but I found that I had to completely disable the postprocessing or else the entire screen would double, the main part I could see would be a blurry ghost and the other part is expanded and moved to the far bottom right.  Here's a screenshot: http://home.earthlink.net/~asmodeus777/dxdll_bug.JPG I checked your readme and I believe my pc meets the needs, I'm pretty sure my graphics card supports pixel shader 1.1 or up.  Also I tried just disabling certain things that may cause that like "disable postprocessing for map" and that had no effect on the problem seen in the above screenshot.  My general specs are: Radeon 9200 SE 128 MB, set to 4 x AGP (I know, it should be at 8, but it's not possible, long story)  AMD Thoroughbred 2200+ ABIT AT7 Motherboard Philips Acoustic Edge Soundcard ( ) 512 MB DDR Ram (forgot what speed) The reflections run very well in game except for a small blue line along the waterline, usually at high angles.  I haven't messed with the settings on reflections enough to see if I can fix that but I thought I'd mention it just in case.
