  1. wow i wish my hornets would do that, they usually take 3 or 4 passes before they miss and take another few passes by which time they collide/crash/get shot down

    but then the F/A-18 can take alot of punishment and still fly (i never said well, just that it could still fly)

    (this isnt a dig at Hudsons work, im just pointing out that its not this "unbeatable plane" that Mr ThunderMakeR makes it out to be)

  2. I would have thought the larger island would have suited larger engagements just great, maybe CTI/RTS type maps for example, game times would be increased though i expect.

    From trying it, i like, i didnt realise just how large distances were, i placed a unit on one hill and myself on another not realising i was aprox 5km away :o

    i tried driving in on the cargo one first, after multiple failed attempts and several destroyed jeeps/helos i tried the normal with the same result..

    and in all fairness Raptor, you could have used a setpos on that, but im not saying you did

  4. well if thats the case, i dont know if its known or not, but i for one cant drive in, with the ramp down there seems to be some invisible wall that stops whatever vehicle i try, but when i close the ramp, if i dont get catapulted out that is, i can get in...albeit slowly.

    then try and take off, it just bounces around as said, but if you get out, it cant take off, and just sits on its nose unable to climb confused.gif

  5. well tbh im sorta drawn on my new Audigy 2 plat... its solved the crackling and the quality is much better than the 1024 lie i had before, but then the software on the CD screws around with safedisk and stops games like OFP working (see the troubleshooting section) and ive yet to have a set of speakers from them that problems with sound coming from the wrong speaker...or not at all as in my current case (6.1 my arse, only 5 speakers work and the subwoofer thinks its a damn speaker) mad.gif


  6. not bad, but im not keen on the explosive GMPG, just doesnt look right having a normal 7.62 MG behaving like the cannon on the BMP2 or M2A2 sad.gif

    and as Denoir said, it is a little weak, it took two hits from the Iraqi T72 from the Sigma6 pack and it was crippled while it took 3-4 hits from my own to do likewise confused.gif

    they do actually, they cause any near by weaponry to explode, launch missiles at them and watch

    personally i thought it was based on the tornado as it has the flares, which talking of which...is it me or are they a little too effective? the mig is nearly impossible to shoot down from any angle. sad.gif the breaks on the ground could do with a little tweaking as ive yet to stop without the aid of a solid object confused.gif

    but on the other hand, i actually like the manuverability and speed, its not armed for A-G so the high speed doesnt matter, and i find it rather forgiving when you make an error.

  9. there are several reasons, but i think the fact it is much more complicated and patience testing, that drives people away...they just want a fast paced, frag fest. Ive seen people in the board who think codemasters didnt do a good enough job with advertising and so many people didnt know about it, which i agree with as i only found out about it by chance

    whats wrong with it? the tail looks just as it should, compare it with the photo.

    anyway, it flys great...beat the crap out of a pair of F15's, out-turned them no prblem, shame the "sidewinders"(that needs to be changed...archer maybe?) cant hit the broad side of a barn sad.gif cannon seems a little underpowered, went through nearly all the ammo on one plane before it went crashed.

    But not bad though, least it doesnt lag me to hell and back like the other mig29 that was made sometime ago wink.gif

  11. i didnt really appreciate the flares before, but damn! i just had a 4 ship of them with MW-1's and a pair of 2S6 Tunguska's on the ground...normally they kick 11 shades of sh*t out of anything that moves, but they had to fire several missiles before they brought them down, one by one! wow! shame the AI prefer the Sidewinder to the MW1 though sad.gif

  12. well juding from the tone of his post, he isnt happy about the particular destination he reckons he'll be going, that he isnt happy with the cause for mobilization...

    but anyway, best of luck to you dude, at least some people have the guts to join up instead of being "arm-chair generals" aye?
