    not sure of the term for it (surround sound perhaps) but the sound appears to come from the direction not just in all earphones like some (you can turn to face another direction and the sound will move with you, very handy)

    I also have this headset and share the same view, great headset for its price.

    Also, slightly on-topic, does anyone know how if there's anything I can do to have both the headset and speakers plugged in at once? It's a pain having to go round the back of the computer to unplug/plug the headset. I've got an Audigy 2 without headphone port.  sad_o.gif

    [EDIT] Also there's a 1-year guarantee with the headset, though i'm constantly slamming them on the floor after frustration and they're still working.  wink_o.gif

    stereo, was thinking that but wasnt sure in that you have mono-vs stero in which thats 1 speaker vs 2 or more...

    anyway

    there is a headphone port (as well as 2nd mic port) on the front panel ... or is that on the platinum series upwards only?

  4. Ive just played the non-CSLA version of the mission Hellfish, very good though as you said the overview had a problem with the image. One other thing though was after the 2nd wave, i waited for around an hour or so (acc time comes in handy in those situations) but nothing came, went to go see if there was anything there but just not moving and indeed there was, the squad was stood around oblivious to the fact they had missed the attack and were still stood on the western road out of Modrava

    Still, nice mission, a welcome change from the average mission smile_o.gif


  5. Right, I've been working on a little script for pop-up targets and keepting track of hits and misses. All works fine untill you miss a target, at this point the whole thing goes apeshit at me and makes it impossible for the person shooting to hit the target.

    I cant see whats wrong especially as it worked before i added the random time section (see below) and the "miss" section wasnt altered, the only thing altered is the loop section which is where i added the random-"gotos"

  6. regarding the speed at which the TOWs can be fired, perhaps it could be implemented in a similar way to that of the WGL attack helos and their ATGMs... they can be only fired under a certain speed... perhaps that same technique could be used on ground vehicles too?

    those comments arent fair... we arent all in favour of these actions regarding Bush, and yet we all get roped into it... I personally dont want anything to do with Bush, but our oh-so wise primeminister Blaire is taking us for a ride, but i digress from the original topic

    im not too fussed about europe, but I would rather keep out Pounds instead of Euros... most likely down to national pride (dont tell me any of you who currently use the Euro wanted to keep their original currency, at first atleast)

    "when"?? people still are complaining, i wrote a massive post before but windows crashed and now i cant be arsed to rewrite it all, so a short version:

    as my video demonstrates, contrary to your video (makes you wonder doesnt it?) you can take multiple hits and keep going on, I even suggested a more "balanced" value on your forums which was dismissed right away... a value that wasnt that much stronger than your current value, yet made a world of a difference. you say your values are realistic and that those of you that are ex-US marines validated it... but then have you shot or been shot yourselfs? right now you say "lot of input from players to where it remains today" yet those "alot" are all from 2-3 squads, thats hardly a broad choice. I know for a fact that theres alot of people in my squad who wont even touch WGL now because of the rifles... you would do more damage by throwing the rifles at the enemy!

    You say the addons were originally for the league, yet you ignore those who were in the league apart from a few. Its not realistic and its not fun, and if i may be honest you are being swayed by "fanbois" (i shall mention no names, as we have one such in our own squad) while the rest suffer.

    Its a shame as the rest of the pack is excelent, the rifles are a severe let down.

    as far as I know, there will be a German, Englisch and Austrian version

    but the EF will be used by France and Italy (and some other countries), too
