A quick thought: Track down the files being installed by the pack (or ask author what the files are) and move them somewhere out of OFP folder. Use Resistance CD for a source of original files EDIT Ok here's what the installer mainly does, (Lord, it eaven offers a choice not to install its files into OFP dir) when you point it to your OFP directory: - it ADDS 3 pbos to ofp\res\dta folder, they are: abel.pbo eden.pbo cain.pbo -it OVERWRITES 3 wrps in ofp\worlds folder, they are: abel.wrp eden.wrp cain.wrp - it ADDS 2 pbos to ofp\addons folder, they are: BRG_EN.pbo brg_n2.pbo - it adds some readme's also to ofp root directory Heres what you need to do exactly to go back. Remove pbo's: abel eden cain from location: ofp\res\dta There are other pbos there, be carefull what you do, dont delete the others! Have your OFP CD and find ofp\worlds directory there - copy them to ofp\worlds on hdd and OVERWRITE Remove BRG_EN.pbo brg_n2.pbo from ofp\addons There you go.

I tried to install samoth extra pack, and also saw two errors during install, after this mod ffur2007 wouldn't like to start at all. Removed files created by pack installer (data3d thingies and such) and mod launched ok like before. Well not a major issue I can live with that. The most buggering me a single player campaign freak is a godlike ai now in missions, making some of them a pain in the arse, uplayable in some cases. I know this all is ment for a MP play and thats OK. Just a thought. Thank you TB and Team for a amazing work, thats forking best mod around and we all just love it!

Hi, changed language to Polish, using tips from the first post (used Editplus on language.pbo and bin.pbo.pbo). The result was quite funny, now the main screen looks like this: The writting at the top says: "Arma, Copyright @ 2006 Bohemia Interactive. Tylko do oceny - nie jest to ostateczna wersja gry." Translating: "Arma, Copyright @ 2006 Bohemia Interactive. "Only for review. This is not final version of the game". Excuse me? I'm aware that there will be some patch(es) in the future. But... Do I have a reason to start worrying? -
Cannot get it (wgl_beta_06-02-05@wgl5.rar) to run on a linux dedi, wtf? Not for linux? I get a "segmentation" error followed by =No entry 'config.cpp.CfgWorlds'= error. So copy sth from /bin to root (like in finmod)? Broken addon or outta memory stuff? like I should redl the rar (segmentation) or try the -nomap switch So I did couple of times and the same story, how many more times re-dl? BTW.Same rar starts OK on a win32 dedi, no prob Same linux dedi holds wgl 4.12 and it starts/loads fine

Try running clean unmodified wgl alone. If nothing happens, the other addons may be the reason. Add other mod folders one by one and see what happens.

I don't think you need the slash between the -nosplash and -mod in your line. Also not using the -nomap is generally asking for trouble with OFP

You have no other option but to try to disable duplicate addons for a while in @zcommon or @wgl5, dunno which pack has a priority on a Zeus, well chek if you can start both after this. Also investigate if you have any unnoficial addons loaded in 1. Ofp/Addons or 2. Ofp/Res/Addons Disable 1 if present. You don't need it on Zeus Investigate 2. Yep our missions are quality by themselves, but the major drawback is, especially for theese at CFOG theatre, that they require this 1 GB CFOG Addonpack. As for the WGL5 scenario things are much better as we use almost clean WGL with just a few small additions. Oh I almost forgot. All briefs are in polish

Yes, it is possible to play through the CWC campaign all the way. Use unmodified version of WGL5. Apart from not going FF, obey orders. Oh, as for the AT tutorial. I find it useless for in the moment of truth I usually whisper to myself sth like "Please God help me now!" then shut my eyes and squize the trigger. Works 100%

This seems to be your problem if you can't check everything to the bottom. As for the guides best ones are around here imho.

Ok pilot was found and delivered but I made it using a little cheat Which was starting the mission over and running at once like hell around the lake (maybe I don't know a shortcut? lake crossing?) to already known position of a gliding chute. Even so I was late a bit and found the pilot crashing at him as he was running to pop a flare up. Dunno if he should have stayed there in a close vicinity to the smoke, well he continued to run in the green where I catched him (joined to group) Previously, when I continued from a autosave (radio coords) positioned where I started the mission - I was unable to make it on time. Despite I knew the location, saw the chute, got at the site without stopping. Once I even managed to see the smoke but the pilot was nowhere around. Went swimming and drowned maybe Ok but I liked the mission and like the campaingn so far It kicks ass, well it does Now I'am a mission or two ahead and feeling like reverting to this Angel Down just to do it 'by the book' And for fun. And just for the hell of it

This whole "watchdog" script might be useless on some machines/distros, somehow it doesnt work, period, so maybe consider runnig a process from a script with a command line, using "nohup" for example to loop the command

Truely no need for them the OFPEC to judge the campain, as we all know it is 9 of 10 mainly due to some "north english". Oh btw. that pilot stays a mistery for me still :P

It wouldnt do much help. I think we would skip the objective and head for some bushes with a medic and his ethanol for our wounds :P That way we should miss the pilot guy. Last time I felt like a really blessed since I managed to get to the red smoke poped up by the pilot (not by the VC I guess :P ), but he's a real hard to find pR0. Only the stupid VC run across the green like ass burning, the pilot is I guess under one of the 400,000 bushes around you, and doesnt respond eaven to a ww2 style clacker. Ohh-noo!! He cant be fooled that easely!... I belive you have to say 'Chuck Norris' 3 times in a row to have him appear, but I'm always to scared to try this in such a dense jungle.

Thanks Warrior and sorry for noobish, looks like I was busy looking at those Phantoms roaring overhead they got me totally overwhealmed with :P (I always get this with airships dunno why ) I must have missed the lone chute falling somewhere NW and relied too much over the spoken and unclear radio coords, that's what got me pwn3d Anyways it has been some enjoyable hours in the jungle crossing the designated area in every possible direction. That makes me a perfect trip-guide. Anybody for a stroll in the green? :P

Can somebody translate from spoken english to written english the coords for downed pilot in Angel Down, due to the highly encrypted "north english" accent used by HQ informing about "the delivery's" probable position? Sth like "north west tree line" or what, gee is this in german?

Probably a syntax error in server.cfg simillar to the one in my previous post. Double check all parts of the cfg file you have edited, search for missing or wrongly repeated commas, quotation marks and stuff like that. Why dont you just quote here your server.cfg

For the server to be seen in internet, it has to report its presence to gamespy. Check your server.cfg for a line like this: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">reportingIP=""; and disable it by changing it to <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">//reportingIP=""; by adding two slashes in front. Or remove the entire line if you like. If this helps not, ask someone over internet to try to see your server by ip number. If he cant see you, there might be some networking/NAT related problem.

PLZ help on this 1 Its a pity that there’s no one here with the acknowledgement on how to set it up on a Linux debian server, other than to change stuff in it not even BIS can help on this they defer to this thread but as it seams, no one here has the acknowledgement Well maybe we can still hope  Managed to fire up the ffur2006 at linux server, did not try with ffur2005 It was just for a couple of hours - no extensive tests were conducted As I could not find any info on how to setup dedicated server with this mod, I have used the MP config.bin Server worked fine with ppl who joined with the same config.bin as server's, if with different - sever crashed. So from my experience, ffur2006 works on linux. No idea how stable it works. No idea with 2005 or other. That's all I can help now.
