Meh, the glass is simply twice the size it needs to be. Anyway, this community seems to have a lot of life in it. Gaming communities have a knack for surviving. take the Freespace community, the game was released in 1998, and the community is still going strong. Main FS fan site Despite the fact that the offical Volition forums were closed about a year ago. Also, the fact that the game has gone open source, and is now free to download (legally) might have a lot to do with it.

Hi! It has been almost a year since I last posted here, so go easy on me. Anyway, I have been bugged by this one question: "Who does the voice for Victor Troska?" It sounds really familiar, but I can't put my finger on it, and neither can the guys at opflashpoint, org. Any help would be... helpful.

I see the pain you all went through. And i must admit, that Steven Critchoe is my alternate name when i do small projects, such as voice overs. So, be not disappointed at a "no name" actor, I am here coming clean. And remember, I'm Pierce Brosnan bitch! Recognize! <span id='postcolor'> You, sir, are a fool!

No doubt this has been asked myriad times before, but I can't wade through pages of topics on a 56k modem. So, where might I get O2?

Thang cue!

I have just noticed that in 1.90, very steep hills have their physics inverted. I noticed while playing 21: Guardian, when moving from La Trinite to Saint Louis. The M113 would move faster uphill than down, and when I stopped, it would roll uphill! What's this all about?

Bah, it would have to be someone we've never even heard of. Bloody, annoying. I can't walk into school and say, with a loud and clear voice, "I have found out who does the voice of Victor Troska! It's Steven Critchoe!" As people will say, "Who the hell is that?!?" I never thought this would spark such replyage.

Doesn't mean he's Victor, though. As I said, he's more like berghof, or that moustachioed chap who calls Kozlowski a "head case".

Just listened to the smaples on his site, and he sounds more like Berghof, that anyone else. a lot like berghof in fact. If you don't know, Berghof is the guy who drives you out of Morton to pick up a 5T truck.

I have got weed over at opflashpoint.org to email BIS, in the hope of finding an answer.

Gah, you're all wrong! It's not Pierce Brosnan, or Sean Bean, or even David Warner (Yes, I know who that is, he's Gorkon in Star Trek: the Undiscovered Country). I don't know who it is, but it's none of those you have mentioned.

I am new to this Flashpoint lark, although I am quite experienced with forums. So, does anyone know of an editing tutorial or resource site with descriptions of the mission editor's features and stuff. Or maybe a newbies guide to... Anyway, I've tried the tutorial that comes with the game and didn't find it very helpfull. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanx.

Abuu's tutorial- problems

The pilots do'nt see the trees and crashes into them if they are in the way. But usually 30 meters are the lowest 'safe' height for the choppers<span id='postcolor'> And I suppose I type this in the unit's INIT field? Does it work only with player controlled aircraft, or with any? -
As I am new to Flashpoint editing, I thought that Abuu's tutorial would be very useful, and it was. However, I could not get the FlyInHeight to work, or the assigning groups to a truck. Whenever I try to put a helicopter or a plane at a height (following Abuu's instructions to the letter), it stiil starts at 50 feet, how can I rectify this?

How about an XM-214? This gun was developed in the US but never got beyond the prototype stage. It could fire from 400 to 10,000 rpm and looked a lot like a vulcan or minigun. I would alos like to see more international stuff, like SA80s or FAMAS, and more Harriers, Challengers, more British stuff. I am English, after all.
