well you might find one but probably it only has the name and the rate of fire, not the model. So it won't be of much use, it's just another scoped 5.56 30-RPC assault rifle

well? If BIS would add handguns, which should they add?
-
erm, the .50 version of the DE has 7 rounds, whereas the Raging Bull (which happens to be on the NATO list as well) has only 6 cuz it's a revolver BTW, I don't see why a DE would be too big & powerful for self-defence. Power ain't a problem, the more the merrier IMHO, and it's still smaller than a SMG and of course an assault rifle

Two of three types of the Desert Eagle have Magnum chamberings and use Magnum bullets. They are the DE .375 Magnum and the DE .44 Magnum. The DE .50 uses and Action Express chambering. But AntiPasta should be more clear and state an actual gun as oppose to having an option of a gun with Magnum chambering... Jubs<span id='postcolor'> erm... on IMI's website there is NOTHING on the Desert Eagle. On the Magnum Research International, there is plenty. MRI claims to produce the DE, and AFAIK IMI contacted MRI to design a bullet for the DE. Weird, considering the DE also fires .50 Magnum bullets AND .50 Action Express. Btw It's on the NATO weapons list so it's probably use somewhere in an army

well with Magnum i actually mean a high-caliber revolver, you know. But there are multiple brands (Ruger, colt, etc) so I just call it Magnum (i think most people will know what i mean by it)

-
well, scripting I suppose something like "this addweapon [whatever]" in the Initialization field (tihs never worked for me though, dunno what i was doing wrong)
-
well why not? IF Bis would add pistols, you could as well take two of them, as you can fire almost any handgun with one hand, I suppose (well maybe the Desert Eagle or the Super Redhawk being an exception)
-
well maybe if the OICW would be added to OFP we have a sidearm... I heard the receiver & grip could actually be used as a pistol, without the barrel, grenade launcher, etc. I think the stopping power ain't that bad, especially on the higher calibers. If you get a .45ACP in your chest you'll still be heavily wounded And why not add the ability to have 2 guns, one in each hand? Not that it would be very useful but it would still be cool, and if it's possible IRL why not include it? I heard the scouts in Nam actually had 2 1911s.

where can I get the moving LST mod? (note: pushing a LST on shore with a volley of FFAR's is also lotsa fun)
-
to get back on the quoting stuff, Yogi Berra has some really cool ones (to bad I can't remember them atm)
-
well you'd need new actions like 'Sit on arse and let US handle situation', 'try to talk your way out', 'rant on US' , and an ammoless C7
-
As everybody around here probably knows, tanks bounce in OFP when hit by bullets. This is very funny, and I think you can do very funky things with it. For instance, I tried crushing a squad of Ruskies with an M2A2, or crashing it into a building, etc. Post more cewl things here!

Most creative thing to do
AntiPasta replied to AntiPasta's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Yeah i did a VERY strange thing yesterday: I put myself as a black op on Desert island, and a M2A2. I ordered the crew to disembark and move some 30 meters away. THen I put 3 Sc's under the bradley, went in as a commander, turned out, and detonated the SC's. Boom! the tank flew about 10 meters high, the crew died, BUT I SURVIVED! Weird huh, especially because the tank landed upside down and the turret was really busted and deformed -
well to get back on the subject of armor piercing, I was watching Band Of Brothers the other day (okay, maybe not a very reliable source), and there were two Allied soldiers trying to destroy an approaching German tank with a bazooka. The first two rockets were duds, the soldier seemed doomed, but then the tank climbed a slope. It's bottom (between the tracks) was exposed and it got hit by MG fire (.30, .40, .50BMG, dunno) and the thing blew up, IIRC

c'mon STFU about Bush being stupid or at least back it up with some facts... I think Bush has handled the 9-11 crisis quite well and we mustn't forget that he's the president of the AMERICANS so if he wants to act in the benefit of het American people (lowering tax, increasing defense budget, not paying UN contribution) he just does it and doesn't give a damn about you British or Dutch or whatever...

But it would also be cool (and actually add something new to the game) if you could choose which version you would take (.357, .44, .50, scoped, gold/black ) and that would actually matter in terms of accuraccy, clip size, etc.
-
I think some more shotguns would be cool (SPAS 12, Jackhammer, Super 90, and that Russian auto-thing from Firearms)
-
well i guess a DE has its uses... probably one of the most powerful handguns around, and it's still smaller than a M16... and if there's one gun really suited to kill Bin Laden it's a DE (US-Israel joint venture...) and it's on the NATO weapons list and it's available in silver and gold
-
excuse me, if .50's are illegal against humans, why was the Desert Eagle invented with its .50AE round (yeah I know it also fires .44 and .357)? I can't imagine the DE doing anything against APCs or something...
-
I was wondering... is there any (major) difference between the Steyr Aug, the G36A and the XMS? Or for that matter, between these and the M16, xm1677 etc. (except for the scopes). Is there any clear advantage in using one of these instead of another?

Ain't it weird that the only shotgun in OFP is the Kozlice? The military uses shotguns too, I suppose, and it would be cool to have something like a Remington 870 (used in Nam i believe), a Jackhammer, a Saiga auto shotgun, whatever. I realize that only wanting them doesn't get the shotguns in OFP, so I have a second question: How do you make weapons for OFP? Is it easy? what tools do you need? I've done some basic mission editing but not much scripting. Tnx in advance
