Thats very sad indeed.

Thanks a lot. Kind of sad to see Youtube screwing up the FPS smoothness when I tried to achieve exactly the opposite. But great you liked it. Thanks a lot.

VIDEO IS OFFLINE ONLY FOR TONIGHT. GOT TO RETHINK THE SOUNDTRACK DILEMMA Movie: The Setpos-Getpos Virus It is weekend so I hope you brought along some spare time. ;) Just like my friend Funkyman I tried to make a video that somehow doesnt fit the general profile of what we have already previously seen. I hope you enjoy it. The first part has a long greeting to the community so I hope you dont mind. Please switch Youtube player to 720p HD If you liked the Movie please do us a favour and join the Social Group below in my signature. We have to get some more people to get started. No participation required. We try to set up a library of useful tools and recommendations for movie makers. Thank you

[Resolved] Flashing rendering artifact
Albert Schweitzer replied to NoRailgunner's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - BETA PATCH TESTING
Observed a simillar behaviour (though not that extreme) when recording for a video. I changed the time so the sun would shine from a different direction and it dissapeared. I am not saying this is the solution to your problem but for my project it at least worked. -

What is wrong with the ARMA Community!
Albert Schweitzer replied to SSgt Decker's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Jake, I know exactly what you are talking about and I feel with you. However there are solutions to this. First of all there is a social group for "casual gamers" which you could join and definetly find people for multiplayer sessions the relaxed way. Furthermore this forum has a lot to offer if you search it the right way. There are various threads on clans that regularly host sessions that are meant to entertain you and rather less serious. The server browser itself alone doesnt help anymore. It will take you too much time just trying. I mean look at these guys from the forums, this is a fresh video from a few days ago and they still seem to have a very damn great time playing their very own style. ;) znswnxepGdk -
Problem: lip movement synchronises with setacctime
Albert Schweitzer replied to Albert Schweitzer's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Never mind. I fixed it with the audio programm as good I could by increasing the speed of the lip sync file. -
Hilarious. I am gonna create an own featured list for those videos of yours. Please keep them coming if it isnt too much editing work.

Terrific video, added it to my page. Damn, that looks like the best multiplayer bunch I have seen for a while. One day I have to join you folks.

I still dont get why two seperate threads are being used for videos. One obviously sticky the other not. Wasnt the idea to keep this one for fully edited movies like that from HJHunger and not multiplayer footage?

Arma 3, but how does look the Trailer
Albert Schweitzer replied to madmusti's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I am looking for the right terms here. I am generally fine with every style of music, but I think so far the BIS soundtracks sounded too much like a cheap synthesiser production. To exaggerate it a little, it reminds me of poor beggars sitting in the city centre and playing on their 100€ electric pianos with predefined beats and background melodies. Whats wrong with getting a real orchestra and record the main melody and then to enhance it with the required base and beats. It is the Czech Republic after all. A nation with tons of talented classical musicians. This is part of their heritage. No reason to replace that with plastic key piano music! But I guess they are well aware of it. Soundtracks are an expensive factor I assume. [/exaggeration] [/cheap polarisation] -
Arma 3, but how does look the Trailer
Albert Schweitzer replied to madmusti's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Or maybe I should have put it clearer with "by sea; Lord of war". (the real tune starts after about 1+ min) I remember having used it in one of my early (shitty) ArmA1 videos. http://www.pecospete.de/vidblog/?portfolio_item=title3 -
Arma 3, but how does look the Trailer
Albert Schweitzer replied to madmusti's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
You might certainly be right about that. But at least I am consistent with my general attitude that ArmA3 should go back to OFP days where story and athmospherics were the prime elements. Or maybe I am just getting old. ;) -
Arma 3, but how does look the Trailer
Albert Schweitzer replied to madmusti's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
The music was the only element that I never realy like about OFP, ArmA and ArmA2. I hope they come up with something that sounds less machine like and more orchestral. More like Sunrise on Mecury, maybe a bit more powerful and faster. -
Is ArmA III having the OFP:CWC vibe?
Albert Schweitzer replied to Cookieeater's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
this has been repeated over and over again here in Forums and I realy hope BIS finally takes it into consideration. I am so fed up of playing the SuperUberSpecialOpsCommander. This is not what OFP was about for me and it didnt realy add to the tension in ArmA1 and ArmA2. It cant be so hard to come up with some terrific missions OFP style. E.g playing a pilot who was shot down and having to sneak through enemy territory to get to get to the next location where a chopper can pick you up. Something simillar to "Behind Enemy Lines" (less Hollwoodish of course) -
ArmA2: Operation Arrowhead Impressions - ALL OA Impressions/Videos/Screenies Here
Albert Schweitzer replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Great Vid Andrews, realy enjoyed watching it. 85% of my next video is done and I am very excited about it. Quite some work went into it even though my skills are not that good. Despite the screenshot below you first impression is totally wrong. Wanna bet? :bounce3: . -
funny indeed, but Pat is and remains a demagogic speaker even if this footage entertained me.

ever thought to record with "setacctime 0.5" to overcome the low Framerate? As you seem to very skilled with video editing this shouldnt be a hard task for you to accelerate it to normal speed later on with Vegas/Premiere/whatever? -

This must have been such an incredible amount of hours you invested. Terrific job!!!! I will put it on my site once I have my latest finished. Thanks a lot for your effort in keeping the community entertained. This is what makes this game so great. -
I have played ARMA series for 10 years

The directors cut is very nice, Funk. I had to drop my large video project but I will probably be able to post a small one before the end of this year. :)

Your Favorite Games of All Time (make it count)
Albert Schweitzer replied to Papissama's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
I know that most people here have pretty reliable tastes in games. So I am kind of anoyed to see products on their list I have never tried. Especially considering that I have tons of games in my shelf that always had a good rating but never fascinated me. While screening through it I came to the conclusion that I actually wasted more than 500 Euros on games I never realy enjoyed. -

Operation Flashpoint Resistance (up to date one of the most authentic characters ever played) Operation Flashpoint (only because of the Official Stuntman thread http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=15794 and CIA Coop nights) Civilisation III Microsoft Flight Simulator Soldier of Fortune 2 Doom (wasted nights in boarding school) Return to Castle Wolfenstein Duke Nukem 3D Mafia Caesar Global Operations (not GlobalOps) - best gun sounds ever made for a game Counterstrike Source (remains a fanstastic fast paced game, sorry) Baldurs Gate StarCraft World of Warcraft ( I guess some people here are embarassed to mention it, but it was a terrific experience when it came out) ... (I am tired, hence I gotta stop)
