I watched the match, and since I am in a very international faculty I enjoyed the view of seeing 300 mio frenchies watchin the match and suffering! Not that I want anyone to lose but everyone should make the experience that staying at the top is the harder than to win the title once!

France now has to shoot 2 goals more than denmark in the upcoming match. so if they play 3-1 they are through, if not,.....well they are out: allez a la maison les Bleus! Since Cameron player 1-0, it is pretty sure that Germany will advance as leader of its group (and not because I am a patrotic optimist or something). Ireland will be second!

I know it is not fair that not all countries are to be seen above, but do you SERIOUSLY BELIEVE that Belgium/la Belgique has a chance to become world-champion? Their team is far from being bad, but there are so many countries that won their first match that this is no indicator of performance. All I could do was to chose countries corresponding to past performance and the favourites of the press! I am sorry for the ones missing, doesnt mean they are underdogs.

Damm, now there is probably one quarter of the whole belgian population in this forum!

Strange game though, very strange game! The Irish realy are lucky boys ! Anyway, there are still pretty much out of the race! If they want or not! The Germans didnt take them very seriously at the beginning, that was the mistake. All the Irish could do was kicking the ball around without realy advancing. Germany still was the better team (in terms of statistics on 1on1 fights). The USA played realy good soccer, I was surprised. Actually I have the impression that we Europeans demand to much of our players. They gotta play national league, champions-league and UEFA cup, and then they have 2 weeks to prepare for the world cup. RESULT: Most players wounded or out-powered. While France, Portugal, England, Germany, show poor results small teams (with no real own national league) show a fresh performance. That`S gotta change! (BTW: If you want I can ask the moderators to subsitute on of the countries above and add USA instead)

I dont want to correct anybody (but since you do that with me all the time too! Â ) VAT is not a producers tax. VAT is a tax that is simply added on the product everytime it increases in value (value creation chain) and in the end hits the consumer! I buy flower to produce bread for that I pay the purchase price + VAT (around 12% in Europe) and when I sell the item I add those 12% to the sales price of the item. Like this the tax increases relatively to rise in value
