Funny, I heard several people speaking about that interview. Strange how many actually watch that Ophrah. Of course he is extreme left, but his points were valid. Also, he didnt blame it on the guns and compared it to Canada where people own guns but the rate of abuse is relatively low.

We tell them when the war is over? 14. We want to use it to make it a better world, not one that is worse. Funny that a nation can actually learn from terrible mistakes isnt it!

Using gas was correct! We dont really know how much it helped. THis gas has a certain smell that can be detected. How did the military know they had no gas-masks? (I guess they didnt) On the other way the russians immediately after the ending of the hostage-taking began a huge offensive against Chechnia again. Striving for revenge? I guess for several reason. Reason one is you attract quite a lot of morons and spammers if you give the posters free hand. Secondly you dirty up the forum since there will be hundreds of threads but only few responses and then it takes a while to search before you find what you are looking for. And finally, the most important argument: you direct the members to the places that promise a good discussion. You force them to participate in very few threads and therefore get many posts and a vivid discussion. Look at the Stunt thread, the middle East thread or the other threads that are composed of many pages (actually worth reading). And you will find only little spam there. Less is more (I mean restrictions) is not always true. We know that here for a long time, the US-stockmarket only knows that since ENRON

No, no need to look it up. I can tell ya in general: First of all we got quite a lot from scandic nations. I guess around three of them. THen we have a few germans here, also around 3-5 of them (some come back once in a year) We got a frenchy, a spanish eeeeee, some from the eastern block, one from Belgium. Quite a lot from the US, and finally some moderators from hell!

The poll is badly done. Why didnt you simply put "yes" or "no". Of course it still would depend on price and content but I guess that is no question. The question is whether one would pay for a mission pack by BIS. So actually you would have to add "yes" and "depends on.." together to get a good overview.

I agree, it is definetly one of the greatest things in life (even after work) but on the other hand it should not become center of your life. I got friends that start to get those special eyes when they enter a night-club, then they are no longer human but animals with a great chasing-instinct. And that I think it so damn pityful. I also hate people talking about it... it is so wannabe macho. Oh yeah and I hate the way of modern media to turn it into a superficial side-event. I mean look at those HipHop and R&B videos: I like the music but all those little poor bastards that want to live in white houses drive a mercedes, but have never seen a balancesheet, and in the background you see their 100 chix waiting to get ...by them. Is that their idea of a perfect life? So do I get the message right of those videos: Sex is a luxury together with a white house, an ugly pool, a overtuned american version of a Benz SL? Here comes the superficiality, sensitivity is out, backt to the stone age.

agree that the hostage-taking has no justification and there are other channels to make yourself hurt. But whatever end this will take, it definetly is a taste of what russia might have to face in the future.

I remember a simillar incidence in Greece (if that is correct). The hostage takers didnt kill anyone though, they wanted to remind the world of chechnia. They surrendered and noone gut hurt.

But we all have to admit something. With all this 9/11, Isreal, Afghanistan and Iraq discussion we totally forgot about the intensity of the war in chechnia. During the last months we had quite a lot international elections but THIS war was never part of the election-debates. So much about Iraq, so much about unessential topics but not a single word about the war. We seem to be faster accusing the americans than accusing the russians. Now I am saying this without polarising but war is war and needs equal attention

Assault Can constantly mails me and asks why he got banned. He cannot post anymore and is surprised since he didnt realy insult anyone. You should make a threat about all those being banned and justify it. He tried logging in under a different name and it didnt work either. I told him that I can post perfectly, could someone of you mods please reply to him under [email protected].

I noticed that the larger the amount of addons the harder it gets for OFP to memory map the music files and the campaign files. This has been confirmed by others too (avons site). Now most addons I want to keep, some I may want to get rid of. But the problem is I dont know anymore which is which, cause the file names of the addon pbo's have nothing to do with the actual name of the addons. What shall I do? Clean the addons folder and add one by one so I can verify what what file corresponds to which addon? Can I rename the addons, so the instead of a file called xxx.pbo it would be lightrussiantank.pbo would it still work? If I open the pbo files can I find the name of the addon somewhere? For those who cleaned up their addon folder already, tell me how you did it please! Â How do you deal with the large amount of addons?
