What do you people think about comparing the Israel/palestine conflict with the former conflict with american (settlers) and the native americans?

    War on iraq

Never discussing politics or hot topics gets kind of boring after a while. We could also talk about knitting techniques, it is winter and all of us will need new pullovers. I already said it a few weeks before and I know a few people did not agree but I would try to move directly into the capital. Such an attack and hold mission would certainly be very intense but I think it is the only solution to destroy the military line of authority. You simply chop off the head and the military headquarters and their masterminds are all in Baghdad. The consequences for the US might be severe in terms of casualties (but hey they want the war) but the war becomes certainly a lot more dirty if they fail to delete the command centre. If Saddam realy owns weapons of mass-destruction then he will be smart enough to do so, if he is given the time. But I guess it is gonna be a clean fast war (since Saddam hardly has any of those weapons) and th US will celebrate their troops as if they had beaten a Hitler armed with a tremendous USSR-ATOMIC POTENTIAL and tons of Killer viruses. What remains in Iraq will be sand (as usuall) and some american oil companies setting up facilities with their new chosen Iraqi business-partners. Cheers!

    Useless moderators

No, dear Moderators, it is not about this forum, it is not about you (dont be so egocentric will ya). During the last weeks I am screening through other fori to get an overview of what issues are discussed and maybe to find one or the other topic that we have forgotten. AND believe it or not OUR Moderators are doing a pretty good job and there is hardly any other forum out there that is so clean and productive as ours (Moderators, dont get arrogant now). OFP is a computer game, a simple game which is not realy in the focus of general media and therefore does to have to fear racist or agressve posts. But others should. There is a forum that discusses about GUN LAWS and relates to a film that is in the cinemas now. However the Moderators seem to be useless since the entire place is being abused for harassment and racial contributions. Want an example? Thread called: Guns dont kill, blacks do Please be so kind to contribute, have you ever experienced something simillar, have you any examples. When should a Moderator (not here) intervene, how important is freedom of expression. Please report if the link doesnt work (automatic sign in). I can see it but you might not! PLEASE DONT discuss about the OFP otherwise the thread will be closed. Our forum is clean, so lets leave it that way.

    Useless moderators

You mean the Moderators at THAT forum over THERE! I wrote them a message a day ago and didnt get an answer, it wasnt the first time that this happened. THe entire forum is a total mess . I just hope our Moderators dont take this thread personally, maybe they can give some guidelines for us what we should not discuss here!

    Bowling for columbine

I guess most of you people out there know about the film from Michael Moore "Bowling for columbine" that creates a portrait of "Arms in the US". I watched it and thought it had a lot of funny (though superficial) parts. But I can also assume that it made quite a lot of people angry in the US (in case they bothered watching it). Now if you start a general discussion on arms I dont mind (even though it is gonna end in a silly flame war). Anyhow, the film wasnt all about arms it was mainly about the cause of why people feel to own guns and the impact of the media on the increase need to feel secure. If you havent watched it yet go here! Michael Moore or have a look at their forum Bowling for columbine Forum And yes (1a Schnitzel who posted there is me)

What about a plasma generator like the russian "plasma stealth" to absorb the radiation (electromagnetic radiation can't go through plasma)? It is far too big for an arty shell, but it could be used with aircraft and ballistic missiles.<span id='postcolor'> Could be, maybe it even takes incoming rays as information input for the ray that goes out!

    Guess the airplane!

Oh this is actually 2 planes that fly into the opposite directions but the camera caught them when they met in the air. Flying from the right to the left is a Mirage and flying from the right to the left is a Tornado! Â

Threads go back to history, because we can learn from history... at least I think so.  You want examples, you look into the past.<span id='postcolor'> No, I am not implying anything. DONT BE SO AGRESSIVE All I said was we should create a second threat because both topics are interesting to discuss about. We never open a thread that has explosive potential because we are afraid it gets locked. On the other hand we abuse other threads to discuss it anyway. The members on this forum are generally smart people (except the russian who..---censored-----). We can have serious discussions without flaming. But if you start abusing a thread it loses its virginity and from then on is pulled into every direction like a chewing gum. But I want to stay sharp on the topic like a laser, so people dont have the chance to get around issues they are asked by saying: but back in 1245B.C.

Everyone knows if they use them, they're screwing themselves.  They're the most Usefull but most useless weapons now.  Usefull that it prevents from others using it, Useless that no one can use them.<span id='postcolor'> I think they had their purpose during the cold war when there was an equilibrium of forces. Sending one nuke would have initiated an atomic war and destroyed the entire planet. Nowadys this equilibrium is gone. The US could without any problems send a Nuke to IRAQ in case the would be attacked (no I am not implying the US would do that). But such a single nuke can be used much easier nowadays since a resulting atomic war is unlikely to happen. THAT makes it different. A nuke no longer is perceived as the "weapon that provides peace"

Artillery shell shot down by laser!

but Sadico, a telescope receives rays and doesnt have to calculate a direction. A little bit of fluctuations of air temperatur can guide light into a different direction. ALSO depending on the heigt that the plane flies in you have to consider that ozon is a ray-killer!

    Missile attack in yemen

I wasnt actively participating on this board for quite a while now and I got read all those threads. Usually I go to page 1 read the comments then jump to the last page to see whether the discussion is still worth participating (and not on the way to get spammed). Then I jump to page 2 and start reading. This time I started on page one then jumped to the last one and I thought I must have jumped to a different topic. Hell no, I dont want this thread to be closed because of "offtopic" but I am surprised about the fact that if start a discussion about a day in 2001 a few pages later you are back in 1936. Â We never realy bring a discussion to the end & keep it on track. We usually do always the revenge argument "but you back in the year 1432!". That shouldnt be way to deal with it. Dont be afraid to directly answer to a question. What is the deal? REminds me of what I read in a different forum about gun laws. Argument A: gun kill too many people Counterargument: Alcohol too Conclusion: Is alcohol the topic of this forum or is it guns? (and why dont we make a Thread called: "who is to blame for WWII? Sounds nasty but can be a very interesting question. I dont think it will end in bashing AND we can finally keep on track without risking the thread to be closed. CHeers ladies!

Wow, you are good (in case you didnt look at the links, but I think you dont do that) The first image is a ......actually I have no clue. How can anyone see what that is? Â The others I think are correct. Except that this is never ever a HE-111. This was a bimotor plane and here we see only a single motor. So I guess it is a simple ME-109. The other there I cant tell, but by the fact that it looks like a chinese machine used in the pacific war doesnt leave many options open does it? SO it could be a A6M2, but it doesnt have those bended wing so it should be an american plane. YOu must be correct A6M2 corsair
