For example soldier of Fortune 2 has the USAS and M4 grenade launcher in it. Basically every longterm player never uses them cause they are cheating-guns that compensate bad aiming. Still every new player uses them. What is so anoying about it is that even though the game has reached patch 1.4 this problem has not been dealt with yet. Are the developers ever playing their game?

Thank you honourable Mr. Frag. This is a highly accurate translation.

As for after the war, the US actually has a good record for rebuilding defeated nations, Germany, Japan, Afganistan As far as Germany is concerned I totally agree with you. And the Germans will always be greatful for that. Especially those in the Eastern sector. Of course a strong germany was considered as a good barrier to stand against the sowjet union and so the US had more in mind than just saving lifes. But to beat that argument you can say that the Americans neither raped german women nor did they commit great crime against humanity. And this considering the fact what germany had done to the world. Also was Germany quickly given back its independance. It wasnt only Germanies success to be World Power 3 allready 30 years after the war. Ich bin ein Berliner and please Mr. Gorbatchow tear down that wall!

I have a faint memory of reading a book about this when I was like 10 years old; something like the guy digging himself under several meters of snow to avoid the dogs which the Russians used to track him? Not sure, might be a different story. Here is a story of a German soldier who escaped the encirclement at Stalingrad after the German defences collapsed.<span id='postcolor'> No, you are absolutely correct! What happened in 1945 was that all the captured soldiers were rounded up and send to syberia, actually 1945 was the year of the RAPID RUSSIAN TRIALS when basically all soldiers got a punishment of 25 years in a working camp!

okay no icecream and no Muppet-show for both of you this evening, you will go straight to bed so you got time to think about what you did wrong. This thread is getting to hot for me and I gonna go into a SOF2 MP session

I think he will try to use it but as with the missiles against Israel I doubt its effectivness. The Americans would be smart enough to be prepared, and the Iraqis would be prepared but simply not smart enough!

Too bad it does the opposite of what was intended Dont say "it does" if all you can know is "it could".

Noone ever talked about the potential casualties this war might cost. Urban warfare is the worst that can happen to civillians. Now this is not an accusal or something I am just surprised noone ever put that factor into the IRAQ-war formula. Lets not be foolish, we talk about at least several 10'000 civillians!

The problem about the gun issue is rather the perception than the actual  practicability. As Die Alives puts it we can see that a great amount of people do not fully trust the police to be able to ensure their security. And this no matter whether the criminals are armed or not. So many american gun-owner actually perceive it as an insult and punishment to be taken away the tool they think gives them the security the police cant give them. They feel that this then will give a competitive edge to criminals. However perception does not necerssarily reflect to the truth. Maybe some people are so negative since their  country has such a long long and deep history of gun-ownership and they fear a total insecure and inverted future. Still, the INITIAL AIM OF GUN-CONTROL is to reduce the amount of arms in the hands of criminals and irresponsable people and not from law-abiding citizens. If this is the goal, and the goal is good, then you have to find the best way to get there, and the best way is the one that reduces the negative side-effects. The side effect I always hear is: "criminals will still always have arms". This is true, but from european point of view I can assure you that after a decade only the worst mafia-criminals will still be armed, and not the silly DVD-burglar or drug-dealer beneath your window. Of course, in the beginning it will be the brave people that will give up or register their guns first and of course they will take a risk cause criminals with guns will still be out there. But that is why "sense of responsibility" is a virtue of moral courage cause it asks brave people to take risks. And without moral courage you cant change a society and also have no right to complain about criminality.

You like good movies. I got some for you. And they are even related to OFP cause they show perfect gun-handling. Go here TO STUPID TO SHOOT and download the videos from the first section called THE CHAMPIONS! -

No bunnyjumper is gonna survive if he is rushing into battle without advancing from cover to cover.

Why didnt you make a poll out of this thread? Maybe someone can make it after we have brainstormed the major ones. And please leave OFPR out of it cause I think we all agree that this expansion was the greatest we have seen for years. There should be a poll for best singleplayer game and one for multiplayer game. Maybe someone can take the initiative. There was also a game that I got for free from my PCgame magazine. It is called tropico and has a great scenario. You are a bad communist leader of a small tropical island and have to make it flourish. Great cuban music mixed up with a touch of prejudice on southamerican working-athmosphere. Great game to play. You should spend a week on it.
