During my studies in switzerland friends of mine and me used to pick a mountain every weekend. And we decided not to return home before having reached its top. We didnt pick it on a map or something, we drove around the lake of Geneva and chose mountains by "beauty". We parked the car and simply started walking. And as always we underestimated the size. I am pretty bad in running long distances but walking in the mountains I seem to be realy good. I start realy realy slow and never make any breaks in order not to disturb my walking-routine. It realy works!

the Topic title is quite interesting. What are the oldest games that you still play regularily?
-
yep, got that too! . The german representant answered that his respect for the victims of the Nazi regime would not allow him to answer to such a provokation. But he would however see no reason for Berlusconi loosing his temper (contenance) in such a rapid way.

Interesting... According to Der Spiegel, 4 important things happened before 1972 and 22 important things happened after. Â It's almost as if the Middle East Crisis wasn't a real crisis until the Munich massacre... from a German media perspektive. No, it is just that the SPIEGEL didnt cover this topic as much as after the Munich massacre. Lets not forget that this is a summary of previously published articles. How many articles did you find in the NEW YORK TIMES about Afghanistan before 9/11?

enjoy the show....you dont even need a good connection! But it is realy realy interesting to watch! History of the importance of Iraq for US

Why stand up ? I would have told him to redress and do it on his own as he seems to have more dictator skills than any other european leader. Shame on Italy to have a criminal like this on their top. Boycott Spagetti ! Â So what should we call spagetthi now? Freedom Nudeln?

Thursday, June 26, 2003 I Never Promised You a Ruse Garden -- A Letter from Michael Moore to George W. Bush June 26, 2003 Dear Lt. George W. Bush, I hope you don't mind me referring to you by the only true military rank you ever achieved, that being the one from your on-again, off-again "days" in the, um, Texas Air National Guard. Ever since I saw you in that flyboy outfit, landing on that ship, I assumed you now wanted to be addressed by your military title, as opposed to the civilian rank imposed on you by your dad's friends. So, Lieutenant, I was wondering, would you do me a favor? Could you PLEASE do better than a ROSE BUSH? I saw the guy on TV yesterday that your boys found, the Iraqi who said he had "planted" some nuclear plans in his "back yard" in Baghdad -- 12 years ago -- "under a rose bush." Woo boy. That's a good one. Do you really think we are as dumb as we look? I know our fascination with "American Idol" and Scott Peterson may make us Americans look a little light in the head, but when it comes to lying to us to lead us into war, we really do demand a bit more of an EFFORT and a FOLLOW-THROUGH. You see, George, it's not the lying and the doctoring of intelligence that has me all upset. It's that you've had control of Iraq for over two months now -- and you couldn't even find the time to plant just a few nukes or vats of nerve gas and at least make it LOOK like you weren't lying to us. You see, by not faking some evidence of weapons of mass destruction, it shows that you thought no one would mind if it turned out you made everything up. A different kind of president, who believes that the American public would be outraged if they ever found out the truth, would go to great lengths to cover up his subterfuge. Johnson did it with the Gulf of Tonkin. He said our ships were "attacked" by the North Vietnamese. They weren't, but he knew he had to at least make it LOOK like it happened. Nixon said he wasn't "a crook," but he knew that wasn't enough, so he paid hush money to the burglars and somehow had 18 1/2 minutes erased from a tape in the Oval Office. Why did he do this? Because he knew the American people would be pissed if they found out the truth. Your blatant refusal to back up your verbal deception with the kind of fake evidence we have become used to is a slap in our collective American face. It's as if you are saying, "These Americans are so damn apathetic and lazy, we won't have to produce any weapons to back up our claims!" If you had just dug a few silo holes in the last month outside Tikrit, or spread some anthrax around those Winnebagos near Basra, or "discovered" some plutonium with that stash of home movies of Uday Hussein feeding his tigers, then it would have said to us that you thought we might revolt if you were caught in a lie. It would have shown us some *respect*. We honestly wouldn't have cared if it later came out that you planted all the WMD -- sure, we'd be properly peeved, but at least we would have been proud to know that you knew you HAD to back up your phony claims with the real deal! I guess you finally figured that out this week. It started to appear that millions of us were calling you on your bluff -- those "fictitious reasons for the fictitious war." So you quickly produced this man and his rose bush and some 12-year old piece of paper and some metal parts. CNN broke in at 5:15pm and screamed they had the exclusive! "IRAQI NUCLEAR PLANS FOUND!" But a few good reporters started asking some hard questions -- and, barely 3 hours later, your own administration was forced to admit the plans were "not the smoking gun†proving that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Oops. Never a good idea to rely on a bush, Lieutenant. Yours, Michael Moore www.michaelmoore.com PS. Sorry, I still can't get that padded flyboy suit out of my head. I know, I need help. But when you landed on that carrier, and that banner read, "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED," just what mission was that that was accomplished? 'Cause by my count, more than 50 of our young soldiers have died since you said the mission was accomplished. Anarchy still reigns, the Brits are losing kids, too, and wacko fundamentalists now seem to ready to rule the land. Women are already being told to cover their face and shut their mouths, store owners who sell liquor have been executed, and movie theaters showing "immoral" Hollywood movies have been forced to shut down. And hey, this isn't even west Texas! Maybe you could get back into that jumpsuit, fly over to Baghdad and land at the former Saddam International Airport, jump out and give one of those big happy waves -- under a sign that reads, "MISSION IMPOSSIBLE."

Hah, but the story continues.... Today, in front of the european parliament Berlusconi said about a german representant that he: knew that there was a film being made in Italy about the concentration camps and I would propose you to play the camp-chief . I think you would be perfect for this job. If I would be the german representant I would have gotten up from my seat, gone down onto the stage and knocked the head of this 1.68m italian dwarf against the lectern.

awesome this cover isnt it. Please remember that Berlusconi has zero to no opposition in Italy, media-wise. During the last years it was pretty hard to find a single critical article in an italian newspaper, report on the radio or documentary on TV. Freedom of press? Yes but not comments directed against your owner, and he is the owner of pretty all of them!. And Berlusconi is very vain...he hates being criticised or to see his image being harmed. Seeing him in trial and listening to be speech he held there reminds me of Mussolini. He might be considered as a great politician in Italy but on a international level he can do what he wants, everyone sees him as a typical italian mafiosi. Seriously, I dont know what is wrong with the italians but they seem to love corruption, and Mussol... sorrY I mean Berlusconi is one of Italies best specialists in this area!!!!! Quality rules!

Unless you are telling me that Karlsruhe is different from the rest of the country Doubtful Karlsruhe is a shithole. It is in the region with propably the worst dialect and the full of farmers. YES KARLSRUHE IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT. Strange..I have lots of friends with other nationalities all around the world....but in Germany I can not remember a single one....who is closed minded here?

Wait, when was your last visit to Germany? From my own personal experience I can say we have a lot more than some Italian and Greek. (Although we have a lot of those two  ) We've got plenty of Chinese, Turkish, Thailandish, Mexican.... you name it restaurants. Turkish is my favorite btw. Mmm Döner Kebab!!! (which is as Turkish as Pizza is Italian  ) Well I have lived in most of the countries that are famous for ethno-food and I tell ya...dont try to compare germany to the food diversity you find in London. The italian kitchen in Germany is still unbeaten (even better than NY) but thats about it. Asian cuisine...there we still have to learn a lot a lot a lot... and London is a great place to go experience international cullinary arts. Berlin is improving rapidly though..this is because (in contrast to London) to rent a shop is cheap and there is relatively low risk involved, consequently many imigrants try to open a restaurant....therefore more creativity than in London. Now in Berlin we have several african food stores....russian....indonesian..Mongolian...swedish...and a recent fashion is kosher food (dont ask me why!) BUT DONT TRY TO COPY THAI FOOD. You fail cause it is the best in the world...but in order to taste it you have to go to Chiang Mai! Sawadee Krap!

How much money are addons makers losing making add
Albert Schweitzer replied to Koolkid101's topic in OFFTOPIC
And u get respect. I have tried so many of the addons that exist for OFP and I must say that everytime I see one of the modders here online I say: "huh, isnt that the one who did the ...?" But I must say that I especially respect those of you that created easy wizards, guides, linkpages and fori for people who want to learn about modelling. In the end lots of the people that created new vehicules, arms...a.s.o did their first steps with ur support. Thank you! -
The US were not able to find him and there is a risk that not only Saddam will get into power again but a lot of former Baath party members who have turned towards the US now and provide them with info good point. We know now that a lot of the rumor about WMD were spread by Iraqis abroad who tried to get support from the americans and to get power to themselves. (and the CIA wanted to believe it) BUT at least we can say that we have an open end again. It might turn really bad or it might slowly get better. But before this country was frozen by a brutal regime. handcuffing children? yeah right!!! Going a litte too far dont u think? picture link!

Good topic! The factors that will determine BNPs sucsess in upcoming elections depends on their ability to outplay other right wing parties. This is what kept german right-wingers out of the Bundestag for many decades. They couldnt gather around a single idea and never undertook fusion (the only way for smaller parties to grow stronger) Secondly do all extremist parties usually need a strong representant that anyone in the country knows and who creates controversies (is that still english? ). This was the reason for the success of the right wingers such as Len Pen (now his daugther), Schoenhuber (german), Pim Fortyn (netherlands) and (most famous) AUSTRIA! Without a leader no risk! Terrorism will not boost right wingers. Germany is a good proof. Last election the rightwingers were as weak as never before. However immigration and criminality does and consequently states like Hamburg voted mayorly for a former judge (Mister no-mercy). And he promised strict controll of illegal immigration bla bla. And finall it depends on your electoral system. In France the seperation of two independant election cycles gave people the chance to see the result of the first, rethink, and then finally change the decision. Would the first vote have counted...well then Le Pen would have the second strongest party in France now! Welcome to Austria!

I was against this war for legal and moral concerns, but in the end it doesnt matter if Saddam fills mass graves of innocent people or the US does it. But what matters is that the Iraqis had lost all their initiative and motivation to contradict Saddam. This family with all its ruling cruelty (u should have read last weeks DER SPIEGEL) would have stayed, longer than BUSH, longer than the rumor of weapons of mass-destruction and definetly longer than the sanctions! Both options suck! lets be honest! Â

Assuming the americans would have respected (dont be sensitive about the word respected, okay?) the UN-decision to give the weapon inspectors more time. And let us assume they would NOT have found any weapons of mass destruction (very likely), what would have happened to Iraq then? Eternal sanctions? Eternal Husseins in power? Just a question! Anyone?
-
Guba would have never made those mistakes! No way!

tell us how you found that! Luck?

The worst party in the world! (spd+pds+IG-Metall But lets go back to fiction.
