    Starwars kid

the only problem is the mocking! I see no problem with that video and I would even record one of myself.... the only problem is that at the age of 15 teenagers have a very unstable personality and live with a lot of pressure to keep up with everyone else. I think at our age we would have a good laugh, dry the tears from our keyboard and then give the guy a good hug! I think I could have a lot better time with this young guy than with 99% of the wannabe cool gettho kids that are usually hanging around in schools!

    Us orchestrated 9/11?

This poll was being made recently, I remember having read about it a few days ago. But the difference is that the questions asked was not about "TBA having sponsored 9/11" but the pure believe in a possible conspiracy (before OR after 9/11). Furthermore please take into consideration that we have a relatively large young age group of arabic people in germany. AND yes I believe arabic nations tend to rather blame the US than anything related to their region of origin. CNN published this story cause it is kind of a good story to sell! And this is why it was treated with some rethorical cosmetics! The results were: 19% believe in a conspiracy (before or after 9/11) 68% say that they dont feel fully informed about the circumstances of 9/11! You want another one of those polls? Well here is one of the most famous german news magazines telling us that 1/2 of germans dont know who their cancelor is! This poll was being made by a Company called FORSA. And guess what, they made the poll about 9/11 conspiracy too. Sources: DER SPIEGEL about germans not knowing who Schroeder is The germans about 9/11 conspiracy!

    The Iraq Thread 2

Denoir. IIRC you recently presented a little graph on the  death poll of amercian soldiers since the declared end of the war. Now if you take this graph and enter the latest figures then you see that your curve is growing exponentially! (kind off). Now that looks like the highway to the Vietnam trauma! Correct me if I am wrong but it seems that the US forces are actually loosing ground and control, retreat to safe places and leave unsafe places unguarded. What solution could there be? More Iraqi police forces? But then this means not training a few hundred but a few thousands. If you would be the general in chief, what would you do to introduce a turnaround. (so the exponential "curve of death" turns into tractrix, if the mathematicians know what I mean )

    The Iraq Thread 2

It doesnt seem to be so surprising after all. If one dares to shorten all the published articles then we can track the following. A squad tries to enter the building and is then being shot at from a mean angle. Three get wounded (probably 2 of them during the attempt to get the first wounded one out of there). They decide to fire some TOWs instead to break the walls from outside. (they slightly exaggerated cause one side of the house is fully blown off). Being satisfied with the damage the soldiers try once again to penetrate the top floor. Only one left alive is the stupid little spoiled 14 year old son who ends up with a bullet in his head.  Result. 2 brothers  (not willing to fall into US hands. Prefer to die     1 bodyguard (probably quite a badass)     1 14y old boy incappable to participate in the battle ------------------------------------------------------     3 wounded US soldiers (probably hurt during the attempt to get other wounded soldier out of line of fire)

    Warrior of the future

Wasnt there a series in the 80ies about a guy in a black dress on a black motorbike. Well I guess they got inspired by that. If a soldier has wear such silly BS in the future than I think many nature loving german soldiers will resign!

    The Iraq Thread 2

Back to the topic you whimsical chicken! I think that the initial idea was not to kill the targets. But when it turned out that the brothers could hide behind fortified glass that could not be penetrated by the Spec Ops then  the american forces took the decision to use missiles Why did they not wait? Because I guess they assumed that otherwise the brothers could escape. (e.g. tunnel). The risk to loose the two out of sight was probably too high! This is probably also the reason why so many soldiers were activated. The entire area had to be secured so that there would be no way out for the two.

    Rising nations inspired by ofp???

Rising nation is an awesome real-time strategy game. I suppose the guy rather took the instruction as a kind of inspiration..maybe where to put the shortkeys or how to properly explain it to the user!

No! Now that I read the newest article....I have to say...what a damn overkill (87 choppers, 25 AVs, 200 soldiers, several days of preparation, and still 4 wounded). Reminds me of the scene in Faceoff where a special unit dives through the roof into the house of drugdealers and a big battle takes place!

Edit! Yep, seems the two sons are gone! That was too unspectacular! When watching a film I usually see the head of evil army die slowly in a very dramatic way and then everything explodes! Hollywood was cheating me again!

    The Iraq Thread 2

No, please dont let them die that quickly. I want them to be put in a little cave in a museum so we can all come to have a look at this rare species. Concerning those two.....(ops I feel I am gonna say it). To the hell with Geneva Convention and human rights. Let them suffer. E.g put them in a prison with prisoners that havent seen a women for a few years and implement a rule that all prisoners need to have a shower at the same time. I hope the rumor about prisons is correct!

    The Iraq Thread 2

Kind of reasoning? Hell no! I am not trying to justify anything. I just think that the death poll should only include "abnormal" deaths! As a example. Imagine more than 100 000 soldiers being based in the US for several months! How many do you think happen to die in accidents (may it be professional or leisure related).

    Democracy, a universal value?

They are not universal! The way families work in each and every cultural environment is a good reflection of which values are crucial and must be represented by the government. The father, in most societies seen as the governing body, plays a key role in setting future perceptions of each and everyone of us. It is no surprise that in countries in which the "head of the family" is traditionally highly authoritative is more accepting/respecting strong and powerful governments. The same is true for religion. Countries in which the father explains his rules for upbringing his children by refering to religion, then their leaders do the same to justify their actions. Democracy for Iraq. BS!!! It is the same joke we heard about "antiauthoritative upbringing" in the seventies. It failed and the children turned out to be spoiled assholes. And considering political emancipation the Iraqis are still children. And we all know what happened to former eastern countries that had to revert too quickly from communism to capitalism/demorcracy.

Considering the amount of american soldiers being based in Iraq I suppose a certain margin of "accidental death casualties" is more than normal. How many american soldiers are in Iraq right now? And how many citizens die in accidents in the US during a period of lets say 5 months? To make things more accurate one would need to compare those two! AND WHERE ARE THE STATS FROM THE BRTIS?

    Freedom fries....e-mail...

Reminds me of what the husband (french) of my sister said recently. We were all together on holidays enjoying a dinner and he had his young daughter sitting next to him (nearly 3yrs). And she looked at a little pot of ketchup on the table and asked what this is. His answer was: "dont touch it, that is special medicine for americans". He is a nice guy, has traveled a lot and this sort of humor must be a allowed. It is just like calling a coke a "texan beaujolais"

    Xm8 to replace m16?

The G36 is also better than the M16 because the operating system eliminates gas and powder fouling being blown back into the receiver (this has been the biggest problem with the M16-series), making the rifle more reliable.

Bush created the largest national deficit in the entire history of american presidents (this year around 450billion US$). What? ....Oh I see, that is the after-effect of the Clinton era, right? And I tell you, it is in the Family!!! George Bush senior is ranked second with around 160 billion US dollars. Any reflections on his economical competencies??? Or do americans only judge bad about a president if he seems to loose a war? And this is where I think that you are wrong! And John P. Abizaid seems to be on my side!

Well I wouldnt have posted the pictures of the Leclerc cause the name still sounds better than actually seeing those tins. I have to agree, in terms of design the french go their own way...but what do they intent by making things look "weird"? Â Â Maybe that is a reason why you have problems exporting your cars.
