I have a feeling that i'll be much more interested in OFP (as if i wasnt enough already) when i upgrade my machine. All the people i'm killing kinda add up, and it puts a pretty hefty load on my comp.

yeah, [badjoke]then you could be Duke_Of_Hazard[/badjoke]

Muting some parts of sounds, but not others

Also, that sound editor doesnt work. I open an ogg file and it says its preformed an illegal operation. -

Uhhhhh, Duke, i should point out to you that member titles are often used as a description OF the member...

I'm in the mission editior testing stuff out now tho!<span id='postcolor'> Yeah, generally just add things like helicopters over you, tanks and things under you, and explosions going off all around you while you do the jump. You should get nice results

Thanks man And no, it was definitely the combat ambiance 1. I recognize the patterns of the blast noises. Thanks again. -

Just fire it off at a guys head at close range. The results are gratifying <span id='postcolor'> lol, yeah, i already knew about killing people with it, BELIEVE me! Anyway, how exactly does this quirk work?

I didnt want to put this in 'Constructive criticism', because there would have been no way to tell people it was a spoiler before they saw it, so i'm putting it here. I dont think killing Victor Troska makes any sense. If you recall, he was narrating for over the first half of the campeign. So how can he narrate if hes dead? They never said anything about him keeping memoirs as it happened, and even if that was the case, it was his voice behind the text, as if to say he was reading it to the player. Maybe one possibility would have been him just bringing the player up to speed on everything, and then about half way through, it picks up from whats currently happening? Anyone else confused?

Yeah, MP honestly hasnt sold me yet. I really dont want the obligation of HAVING to work with someone, being in a clan, which leaves me neck deep in the public sector. And there, youd be lucky to find ONE guy thats willing to work with you. I love OFP because it has the potential to be the most tactically involving game ever, but the problem is, no one is ever willing to play that way, unless you find the right group, as you said. So i pretty much always stick with SP missions. The short comings of the games AI can be overlooked as long as i'm doing my thing how i wanted to.

You seem as though you at least have a clear goal in mind. Thats a step in a good direction

I have actually had experiences similar to this where i was greatly exhilerated by the gameplay in OFP. I dont know if you saw the thread where i posted this in Off topic, but here it is again: </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Aculaud @ Aug. 22 2002,22:17)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">I was just playing some OFP, and I decided to go for some “Shadow Killerâ€, as in the single mission. I was watching We Were Soldiers at the same time an--, napalm is one nasty mothafucker, by the way. I ended up spending what had to be a half hour to forty-five minutes on the briefing screen alone. I planned out my every move. My infiltration, my attack, my exfiltration, everything! My target was Dourdan, my objective was fuel. The destruction thereof, anyway. I slipped in as far as I could on foot, and then I hit the dirt and observed the place from afar. I saw one…two, crawled in a little closer, three, four infantry contacts. I waited for them to start going away from me. As I watched, a tank rolled by. Its headlights glared in front. As soon as the men were far enough away, I slipped in. I made my way around a corner, and there was a soldier, within conversation distance, face to face with me. He didn’t see me at first, but he froze half a second later as if he knew exactly what was coming. A few nine-millimeter rounds left my weapon and tore through him in slow motion. By the time he hit the ground, my charges were on the road, and by the fuel station, and I was making a fast brake for it. I left east of the town to a hill where I could see things clearly. I hit the dirt on a hillside right in front of some trees and listened as I watched. The voice of my CO was distant and muted as I watched my enemy reinforce its position in the town with light armor and men, but I heard it load and clear when he said the convoy was on the move. I watched ahead of the town until headlights filled my lenses. I watched them go by one by one. A UAZ…one…two Urals…and there was the fuel truck. In back, just as I had been informed. I tracked it for as long as I could, but that came to an end when it got as far as the fuel station at the other end of town. A bright light signaled objective completed. I got up, turned for the shore, and made my way, a little over two kilometers, back to friendly territory on foot…alone in the dark. Once on the shore, I was on the lowland. The hills above had a clear shot at my head, but yielded no weapons, no enemies. I ran until I heard explosions…the sounds of no-mans land…no man except me. As the sun rose, I made my way to where the fighting stopped and I was home. Mission complete.<span id='postcolor'> One thing i have to ask you, is how did you use flares with nothing to launch them? Can you fix them to the M21s barrel or something?

Underhill i really had no problem with. Iv got that one down pretty good, but yeah, i see where youre coming from on that. I make single missions all the time, but i rarely have the energy to beta test them myself for a while cause i'm always so busy making them.

I think the country should be run by two people, each with a team to back them up and work for them. These two people are completely opposite. One could be a vegan, radical, left wing right brain democrat, while the other could be a carnivorous, reactionary, right wing left brain republican. Their teams would share their views as well. The reason for them being completely opposite is that they would always have a "devils advocate" to challenge whatever plan they would make for anything. This would keep everything in a constant "checking and ballancing" order.
