Just for the record, this is the last time I'll make a topic regarding my problem. If nobody can help me out this time, I'll just live with it. Anyways, I always wanted to edit OFP to make the weapons more realistic. Mainly I want Hellfires to be able to kill a T-80 or Abrams (if you're feeling mean) in a single hit. I downloaded OFP manager, and decompressed my config.bin file, and edited the damage for the Hellfire to a more appropriate number. Then I changed the name of the config.bin into config.cpp, and started my game. Right when I start my game, the screen turns black for a split second. Then it returns to desktop with an error message, something along the lines of "Operation flashpoint has caused an error in Operationflashpoint.exe" or something like that. I dont know what is causing this error, but it has made me unable to edit the game whatsoever. Someone even thoughtfully sent me an already edited config.cpp file, but it sadly didnt help. Anyways, if anyone can help me with this, I'd be extremely grateful. If you need more information, I'll reinstall OFP and recreate the error.

Well the details are sketchy at best, and my recollection of events may be entirely innaccurate... but I believe that Espectro made a "joke" that was either not at all funny, or was very offensive. Denoir was watching us mere mortals from the heavens, and struck him dead with a lightning bolt. And the rest, as they say, is history...

Or just get a catchphrase and repeat it It worked for me! BTW, if I'm not mistaken, Espectro was the Board President. However, he has dropped out of the board scene following a scandal. So we need a new board president... Hmmm....

Actually I didnt pay much attention to the site. And when you consider how many OFP fansites there are, I guess missing one line of information on one of the sites doesnt seem that bad, does it?

Are the Kiowa and Longbow going to have realistic damage with their weapons? So will a Hellfire for example destroy a T72 in one missile? *hopes so*

I've only shot a 12 gauge shotgun (a remington, I believe) and a .22 rifle. I feel like such a newbie!

I'm getting a brand new, extremely high quality Tippmann paintball gun and a 20oz. Co2 tank, all for about $200. I dont know what I should get my girlfriend. In fact, I dont even really know if I can consider her a girlfriend anymore. I'll send her a baby moose or something.

Yep. I still cant edit my OFP. I've tried everything, but now I get an error message, and my game crashes to desktop as soon as the screen turns black. I'd really appreaciate any help, if anyone has some advice...

In the past two hours, my IL2 has been shot down three times by Stugs, and four times by Panzer II's, and once by a Panzer IV. I have yet to get shot down by AAA guns or enemy fighters. Its safe to assume something definently needs to be done about enemy tanks...

Bah.... I cant stand these Russian planes! I'm doing the Soviet campaign right now, and I've gotten up to the LA5. I always ran out of ammo with the piddly little MiG-3, and then the P-39's cannon couldnt hit the broadside of a barn (seriously, I'd get on a planes six o'clock at about thirty yards and unload like five or six shells into his rear only to have them pass through... ) Give me a FW190A5 or A8 anyday! I'll come home with ammo to spare, baby! The IL2 missions are hard as hell too! I KEEP GETTING SHOT DOWN BY THE MAIN GUN ON PANZERS!!! Thats my only gripe with the game, the tanks cant hit each other 99% of the time, but they can knock a plane out of the sky with ease. Just wait until I get the Me262... hehehe....

Warhammer 40k ROXXORS! My painting skills were mediocre though, so my models didnt look nearly as good as yours I had to stop playing because it just got too expensive. I started as Orcs, but wanted to change over to Imperial Guard, but then it just was starting to cost too much.

I was really let down that the MAC-10 is practically just a Scorpion clone. It has the same ROF, and most likely the same damage. Its small things like that which should have been changed before the weapons release.
