Word on the street: Crewmen too weak!
Aaron Kane replied to Aaron Kane's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Hehehe... I should know, I always steal tanks from the AI, where I proceed to sell them on the black market. -
Yo Devil, when will u release your Hawiian Island.
Aaron Kane replied to InFuSiOn's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
*Gets idea* I know how to finish this MADNESS! 1 vs. 1 Devil vs. Jamesia The island? Your choice! The weapons? #### if I care! The rules? Kill the other! This wont accomplish anything, but it'll help piss off the one you are arguing against. If Devil wins, he gets bragging rights. If Jamesia wins, he gets bragging rights. Whoever wins will make the other player cry, thus humiliating him, and making him leave the community. He will then buy a small cave, where he grows mildew and sells it for a small profit. He will make clothes out of dead animals, and will not be permitted to shave or bathe. LET THE CONTEST BEGIN!!! -

Attention!! Someone sending mysterious files to forum users.
Aaron Kane replied to Drewus's topic in GENERAL
CHRIST! I was receiving TONS of these up until a few days ago! And I mean TONS! I'd leave for school with an empty mailbox, and come back with up to 200 of the d*amn things! Fortunatly, I never opened up, downloaded, looked at or messed with the e-mail once I saw a file attached and didnt know who the #### it was. -

My vote is for more meat kill, less armor damage. I want the tanks to have the crew/meat killed easy, and the armor to stay intact more. <span id='postcolor'> ... why? You are rolling along in your T-80 in multiplayer, minding your own business, when some loser with a LAW fires at you. He's pretty close, but behind some foliage, thus preventing you from locating his position. Two of his LAWS that he fires hit you, and the entire crew is in "injured" status. The third smacks you in the side, and you're gone. Now that ####### who killed you is gonna take your tank, throwing your body on the ground in the process, where he proceeds to run it over several times! Wheres the love?!?!? -

Lets see how tough it is when a NATO FCS (They're bound to give it an offical name someday ) nails it from 10km away

They are pretty much just decoration. IRL, a scud in the 80's would probably be fitted with a tactical nuclear warhead. These are pretty much just smaller than average nukes, but are still enough to destroy an entire island ingame. They can be launched, but you cant target anything. The only reason they are ingame is because of their importance in the campaign.
-
d*amn, good suggestion Drew! I especially like the two transports.
-
Hear hear! I agree completely! Even though IFV's dont have the armor of modern tanks, their weapons arent to be sneered at, a TOW or AT-5 will ruin any tankers day!
-
It gets me sort of mad as well. Your gunner only targets red targets on his own, and ignores whites completely. I believe this issue first occured after the first or second patch, and I hope they fix it if possible
-
I'll private message you about the code, since I really would prefer not to talk about it right here in public.
-
Personally, I love how the tracers look in this mission. It just looks like a huge firefight, which in fact it is

The Challenger is the main British tank. I think its also one of the most heavily armored IRL, and its gun packs one #### of a punch also.

Man, I LOVED this mission! It was so d*amn intense when a fight broke out over in the forest, my squad got massacred by those d*amn Spetznaz, though I managed to kill a few with my grenade launcher I found. Then I somehow creeped up behind a Ruskie sniper I located on a hill, killed him, and stole his SVD. Then I was picking off the remaining enemies. Those Ruskies never seemed to stop coming! They had like five BMP's all together, and like four T-72's, and tons of infantry! It was a great level
-
And you didnt get court marshalled? I've beaten this a few times now, and once that d*amn Hind didnt even SHOW UP! The first time, I blew the bastard down with three stingers, and the second time, it just never attacked the town. I also get the message about a boat, but I never even see one, so I drive to the Hospital, get five stars, and get court marshalled. Its stuff like this that makes soldiers steal a M-60 tank and go for a joyride in the local city... *Gets idea *
-
Hear hear! I agree completely with Brass!
-
I agree, they all look great, especially the M4A1, which is my favorite gun However, I've never heard of the OC-14. Can you post any info or links for this gun?

Aaron Kane replied to Aaron Kane's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Hmm... do you know how hard it is to penetrate them? It would really suck is a .50 with AP rounds set off the ERA. -
Hehehe... that'd be a great rescue mission; just bungee down, grab a downed pilot, then fly back up. Its madness!

JubJub, isnt ERA designed to minimize the effect of HEAT warheads, such as those that a RPG has? I believe Chobbam also helps weaken a HEAT blast. I can see a APFSDS killing the crew, since it rips right through the armor, but wont HEAT weapons just smack into the side of most armor systems, maybe damaging the gunners sight, commanders viewer, and other more delicate equipment? Oh, and I have a question about ERA. I know that ERA panels blast outward to dissapate the force of a HEAT explosion, but how does this work? Does the ERA block actually get penetrated, thus detonating it, or does it detect a projectile and detonate once an object gets to within a certain distance? -
Anyone who has the press demo

Hey! Dont make me come in there! Keep it down, you're making the other topics cry!

I wish they had another version of the PBR and the little Russian boat, maybe armed with rockets or a auto-grenade launcher.

*Bursts into tears* You are playing as the East. You are rolling along in your T-80, fearing nothing short of an Abrams, when suddenly you explode. You respawn, and get in another T-80 and find out a Cobra nailed you with a few TOW's, killing you in the process. Your gunner gets lucky, and nails the pilot with machine gun fire, killing him, and thus elimintating the helicopter. So you go rolling along again, and take out a few M-60's and infantry. ####, you even take out some Chinook with a well placed sabot round. Strangely, the Chinook was flying inland from the ocean. You die again, and respawn. This time, you find out another Cobra did you in. Where are they coming from? How do they have so many choppers? Well, its obvious! The enemy has an aircraft carrier, making them unreachable to all but aircraft, and the carrier's choppers can take those down easy. See how a carrier might unbalance things?
