"Their" M1A2 uses the sounds from DesertOFP. They sure know how to steal stuff.

Just look what great texturing can do: http://www.lo-mac.com/ss/parked-29.jpg http://www.lo-mac.com/ss/luft_mig29.jpg http://www.lo-mac.com/ss/germ_duet.jpg btw, why is it 20 megs? Never seen such a big addon
-
Didn't know this was necessary Thanks for clearing this up.

OR does behave like AND, check this sample mission. Use radio Alpha and Bravo. Mission source no longer needed ... Removed by Suma

Let's not turn this game into another HL/CS! No demos
-
Those threads were closed because this kind of stuff is unrelated to OF. If everybody would be discussing device drivers, then this wouldn't be the OF forum, but the tomshardware.com forum.

System cache, is physical memory (i.e. RAM) which is used to cache files. This is the reason why applications launch faster, if you've opened them before during the same windows session.
-
The new drivers were released yesterday. Trying them out now. Update: they didn't fix the crackling and I believe the quality of positional sound has decreased. At least it wasn't 370 megs to download this time

Right click my computer, click properties, click the "advanced" tab, click the first "settings" button, click the "advanced" tab, click change.

Dunno, they still work fine, but you shouldn't use them, unless for playing with somebody that doesn't have Resistance. When using OF exe, insert OF cdrom, when using Resistance exe, insert Res cdrom
-
Yeah, downloading 800+ kb missions every time, even if you've had to download it before isn't really much fun I think it was fine the way it was before (except for overwriting existing missions).
-
I suggest you delete all official addons in the OF addon dir, because Resistance has got them too in its addon dir. There's no point in having them twice
-
If you have EAX on, then you can clearly hear that they are there, but not with the right height. they are on the ground, not the second floor, where they should be.
-
pang, I don't understand, you get that angry because the vulcan gun doesn't rotate? I can't believe you say the entire game is crap, because of this? I bet you don't have any experience with programming.

1.75 - Added: function setObjectTexture What does it do? I found out the syntax is unit setObjectTexture [number, string]. I tried out some things (with vehicles) but nothing worked.

Display resolution: number of horizontal and vertical lines that make up the image on your screen. 800x600 means 800 horizontal lines and 600 vertical lines. Higher resolution, more detailed image, but requires more processing power and memory bandwidth. HW T&L: hardware transform and lighting. Moves transformation and lighting calculations from the system cpu to your videocard.

Windshields and ground flashes white in resistance

GFX707, do you have the same problem? Which videocard? etc, etc... -
DestroyerX, make sure you don't have texture resolution too high on that voodoo banshee. Also turn off multitexturing. Voodoo Banshee doesn't support it. Are you running in Glide or Direct3D mode?
-
"has the most amount of glitches, problems, and bugs I've ever seen in a game". I guess you haven't played many games. 1.58 beta (and higher, including Resistance) have updated soundcode which fixes the loud footsteps. It doesn't have anything to do with the drivers.
-
The safedisk copy protection uses hard-to-read space on the cdrom. That's why your drive acts like that. It's normal.
-
I've always had ACPI on (with SB Live 5.1 and via chipset). I never had any problem. Maybe you have an old BIOS which doesn't properly support ACPI...
-
DUE, you probably have an old 3d card. On the box it clearly states which cards are supported and which aren't. Don't complain if a card which isn't officially supported, doesn't work.
