It is normal, in the game
-
afaik FADE only activates when the .exe is modified. and that impact thing is normal

Could be interesting....

You sure memory goes up THAT much during multiplay?

Silly question though: Are you sure you are trying to connect to servers which support the version of OF that you are using. (e.g. don't connect to a 1.4 server with 1.46 etc....). Which version are YOU using right now? btw, which program do you use to connect to find the servers? (Gamespy, all seeing eye...)
-
Mister Frag, the amount of RAM does not render you unable to connect. I played OF for weeks with 128 megs and I didn't have any problem. (there was quite some swapping, which was annoying, but it does not make it impossible to connect -> 'swapfile'.

How come i can't get the in-game voice to work?

You ARE sure both soundcards are full-duplex (playback & record simultaneously)? dunno, but in a certain mode, you can only hear others when they are close to you. -
Please post all your specs, including ANY firewall etc. (esp. if it's zonealarm).

I have V-sync off and prerender at 0, works fine.
-
the machine gun on the m1a1 is not in OF due to technical limitation (OF supports only 1 'weapon' per unit). In the demo, I believe, you could see the at3 on the bmp. In OF full version this was replaced by the holder (on bmp2).
-
1 Make sure FSAA is disabled. 2 Set prerendering to 1 frame.
-
just give them a waitpoint (like move to there starting position) or set their fuel to 0

Hmm don't have this on my system. Installation went fine.

Version 1.49 is a dedicated server version. Not client.

To have the thread title in the subject line, you would need to rewrite the ikonboard cgi.

I really don't think they can stear. Those fins are non-moveable. They just serve to make the bomb drop in a certain way. Laser targetting, as far as I know, is just so that pilot can line up with the target, and know when he has to drop the bombs, in order for the bombs to hit the surface near the target (impact point depends on height of a/c and speed of a/c). I checked out the data of a laser guided bomb in Flanker2 and it said "inertia guided", which means that the bomb itself is not guided whatsoever. edit: apparently SOME LGB's can correct themselves a bit(even alot when flying high), but certainly not all. It depends on which particular bomb it is.

If you can't see the advanced stuff (direct3d/opengl etc) than it means you have downloaded the 'old' version. Shortly after releasing the 28.32 driver, nVIDIA noticed that they had made a mistake. They then uploaded the correct drivers. You most likely have downloaded the old ones. (if you are behind a proxy server, you may not be able to easily download the new version as you may be downloading the 'old' cached version. At least that's what was happening to me.) btw, these are the first drivers, since 23.11 that do not cause the "cannot complete drawing operation/infinite loop" problem

I wasn't claiming that laser targetting is the best way (when you have to designate the targets during the missions, so no pre-designated targets). The range is limited and designating a target during a mission is extremely difficult (hence there's a ground unit with laser designator). But it exists, that's what I meant. Offcourse there are other means of locking on (which are much better). But when using LGB's (LASER guidede bombs) you always need to line up. No matter what way of targetting you use. Bomb= weapon which is dropped, and travels to target using 'inertia' Missile= weapon which uses (semi)active/passive guidance to travel to the target There is no way you're ever gonna make a bomb hit a target without lining up with it

Just visit regularly. - If everybody would use this feature, the mail server would go nuts. Which isn't very good for the performance. - There is no duplicate. Everytime somebody replies to a topic, you subscribed to, the board will send you an email.

The bombs will then track wherever the one with the laser is pointing.  I should also mention that the Hellfire missiles on the Apache are laser guided too, and work in the same way as A-10's LGBs.<span id='postcolor'> The A-10's LGBs are inertia guided. The hellfire's are active guided. When you drop an LGB, it's path cannot be altered, while hellfires can adjust their heading using the provided data. Normally, (in real life that is), the A10 pilot can achieve the same type of targetting data, that is obtained using the laser target ground unit. As you may have noticed, OF doesn't have very extensive a/c simulation. The A10's HUD is completely inactive

Red Hammer was made by Codemasters. Expansion pack is being made by BIS. I don't think they're gonna put RH in the expansion pack.

SKULLS_Viper, if you read carefully on their website, you will notice that you have to get driver updates at the website of the laptop manufacturer. This is due to some reasons.

Is that videocard based on a Savage2000 chipset? if so, do not use hwt&l support (even though, I believe, it has it)

hmm, that text doesn't have much that most people don't know already.
