On BBC television there was an program that interviewed the parents of several suicide bombers. They were not happy in the slightest that their children were dead. What you call terrorism, they call legitimate struggle against an occuping army, what you call targeted killings they call assassinations. Anyway what poll was this? The Nazis actually refered to the plan to move the Jews to Madagascar as the Final Solution... Later they used the same term for the gassing in the death camps. And you're right, the concentration camps were in use when Germany invaded Russia. (Since about 1934 in fact) However there were no death camps or gas chambers or anything like that at that time. The closest thing was organisation "T4" which operated "shower vans" to kill disabled (German) children. The systematic mass murder began when the Nazis invaded Poland and later Russia and found there were too many jews there to be delt with as they'd done in Germany. And of course Hitler hated the Slavs and the Gypsies, which were also found in large numbers in Russia and Poland. The Nazis started executing Jews and Slavs by lining them up beside a trench and shooting them in the head. Himmler realised that this was time consuming and expensive - ammunition and troops were used up that could have been used fighting the Red Army. And that's basicly how they came to start building the death camps... And I'm not a Neo Nazi or anything, I'm studying Nazi Germany for A-Level. Â

Oh and Avon, you may know this but with you talking about "population transfers" - Hitler planned to do the same... he planned to resettle all of Europe's Jews in Madagascar... That was before he invaded Russia, and the war started going rather badly for him.

Sharon is either insane or deeply stupid. Does he really think he's going to find a palestinian leader more moderate than Arafat? After Israel's invasion of palestine, he'd be lucky to even find one palestinian that would even start peace talks with him! And to all the people wondering why the Palestinians use suicide bombers... what choice do they have? It's no secret that the pro Isreal lobby in the US (and other countries) is very powerful, and they'll obviously be biased towards reporting Isreali deaths - because that stirs up anti - Palestinian opinion.

Sharon is just stupid. He blows up Palestinian police stations then he complains Arafat isn't doing enough to curb militants. He advocates "targeted assassinations" often killing innocent bystanders in the process, but becomes enraged when the Palestinians use the same tactic. Isreali troops shoot children dead in cold blood and Sharon wonders why the Palestinians hate Isreal. Last week he used a tank to blow up a Palestinian car - killing a mother and two children - and he dares to call anyone who criticises his mindless terror anti semitic. Sharons racism and collective punishment of an entire race of people is disturbingly close to another tyrant who dragged Europe into war in the 30s... EDITED: Because I can't spell.
