  1. Yes, but I get no reflections at all. I'm thinking now, is my card reflections compatible? yes, it isn't an MX.

    I should be able to run reflections in my GeForce4 Ti 4200 with AGP8X, shouldn't I? I'll try now again. I didn't prested much attention to that part of the readme because of me thinking that my card wasn't compatible, lol.

  2. OK, what i'll do is a compromise. Im going to make a second version of this island. Can someone tell me where i can get better trees and vegetation etc? The second version will have resistance buildings but new vegetation. Anyone know where to get good desert veg?  biggrin_o.gif

    Or maybe i just remove the trees and put some dead trees and desert bushes in their place?

    Yes, that would be cool, would reduce file size. Maybe add some oasis here and there in the lowest terrains.

  3. Them sweaters are very comon actually, I was given one from a pal who was in the RAF and the only diference is that mine is green, but the rest is just like the ones in the pics by Miles Teg.

    That mustache in Extractions pic is excelent. Looks more realistic than any others I seen in OFP. It would be excelente to be able to add an object texture ober another object texture, so the same face could have some different combinations.

    Any month old beards yet?

    The only ones I coulf find was retextured BIS ones, by UCE and by Kegetys, but in my opinion they are not up to todays standard, and I was hoping for somebody to retexture ORCS units, and now that RHS have released them it would be the other option too, we have a choice, lets see if we ever get a decent winter Russian soldier.

  5. @ BlackScorpion, 258 FPS? that's fantastic. What combination are you using all togueder again?

    I'm using a 1.7 GB pentium 4 chip, 500 megs of RAM and a GeForce4 Ti 4200 with AGP8X and I'm geting an average of 60 FPS, and I thought it was good, lol.

    I want to upgrade chip to a 3 GB, add another 500 megs of RAM, and get a newer GF card, but I'm not sure what.

    I have no reflexions, but runing DXDLL I haven't noticed much of a drop in performance than without it.

    I have an medium performance seting in OFP options, and I instaled the latest drivers and followed some tips from this topic, so it seems to run smooth without glitches, but I want more.

    Yes I was, and a dessert, lots of stuff replaced, just wayting for some Russian units reskins of ORC units from whoever, and I was about to do some ressearch on how to change the islands throught mod folders. I never got to find if is possible at all.

    I bined so I don't get the temtation to carry on with it.

    I had the same problem with the "Nomad Project", I was one of the first members, but I had to go because of it, and that was just doing ressearch and learning the tools of the trade crazy_o.gif .

  7. has anybody else here thought of the idea of shipping unarmed soldiers so that mission makers can cleanly set it up in editable code, or are we all to lazy and can't be arsed to import the premade JAM description.ext blocks,or a little addWeapon script here and there? If I were to download something with weps already assigned, sure it's the lazy way to slap them in game, but even if I clear out all the weps and mags, the addon in those cases prerequires a given ammo/wep addon, and it's none-trivial to update that for replacement mods, JAM, MAAM, etc. This is nice and all, and would encourage mission development, but might be counter-productive if you also plan to include YAM4P - Yet Another M4 Pack - like everyone else.

    Secondly, if you keep the models-textures seperate from the configs-scripts its much easier imho to provide some types of addon control and maintanence. Both are crucial for stability in the MP world post-release.

    Another idea would be to give them the old chaps from BIS, is anybody still using BIS weapons nowdays? There is so many replacements and weapons to replace them throught mod folders that I doubt any body use the original ones from BIS.

    So if you are givin them the BIS M16 I would be happy, because my configuration uses InQuisitor's, so... biggrin_o.gif

    I hate addon dependencies where you have to download 100 megs to be able to use a unit, so I'm with you mate, iedr no weapons or BIS weapons, but is Wilco's deision after all, I'm just a happy customer. smile_o.gif

  8. I would want the C-119 just because of it's unusal design, plus the size is probably more practicle for OFP. I messed about with some ideas for cargo carrying scripts, just waiting for a suitable oppertunity to try them out.

    I heard of your ideas, and I would really like to see them working, they are kind of the things that I would like to see in OFP cargo planes.

    How about contakting DKM Jaguar? his C130 is looking really good.

  9. I supose this feature in the Hercules would be handy. If we could clear areas of BIS woods it would be very nice to get one of this taking off a improvised air strip.

    "Mith busters", in "Discovery channel", I was pissing my self watching them shooting a chicken against a plane windscreen. they also proved that ice bulets are impossible. Very interesting, but they get in my nerves.

  10. Pappy, if I remove the configurations from the PBOs in this mod(the ones that replace the CWC addons, not the others), they will still work, won't they? so I'll only have half of units in the mission editor?

    As it is now, the BIS units replaced by addons are available in the editor, so removing the configurations in the PBOs should just live the names of the units replaced and not the ones replacing them too?

    I don't know if that makes sense, lol.

  11. If the limitation on controlable squad members is to do with the "F" keys, then we should be allright if we had a key(F1 anyone) that once cliked in at the same time as the other unit key, would select a unit that is over 12.

    Now saying that, the "F1","F2","F3","F4","F5","F6",

    "F7","F8","F9", and "F10" keys should stay as they are now, then use "F11" to acces the next unit, so if you press "F11" and "F1" at the same time, you should be able to select unit 11, if you press "F11" and "F6" for example, you would be selecting unit 16.

  12. Excelent news on the upcoming pack.

    I know that the BIS supressed MP5 is diferent to the other weapons, because its supressed the AI don't heard it, but I tryed some other addons that their supressed version are only supressed for human players because the AI still can heard them firing like a non supressed weapon, I hope you are counting with that biggrin_o.gif

    Excelent addon, yes, it have to be the best M4 I tryed so far. I love the sounds, witch by the way, bug report, I know its a very early version, so its good for you to know that you missed the dry sound, empty mag. Can you do your custom fly sounds to the bullets? That would be nice too.

    I love the way the normal M4 seats in the hands of the unit, very good, that must toke you some work.

    I would like to see a "grenade vest" for the grenade version, like the one in JAM, but all this is up to you. As it is now it really rocks, more improvements will make it very difficult for other addon makers to bit.

  14. hmmm... fiction and fact are two different things, but i am speaking from a british forces point of view... we only silence the sig if i remember correctly...  smile_o.gif

    Well, the book supose to be real events, and the guy sounds legitim, so I do belive that there is silenced versions. It dosn't take that much to silence a weapon, really, basic engeniering, excuse my poor technical English.  crazy_o.gif Besides, is not the kind of thing that you would find in the British forces armouries, is more of a very very very special thing, kind of the things that "they" hide from the media.

    @ syphboy, how about calling that unit hitman. Just get a civilian unit, change the configuration of the unit to Resistance and give it the Browning. Get a balaclava face texture and a custom action that say "Cover Face" that will change the face texture, and then you have your self a masked hitman  biggrin_o.gif

  15. I use Edge's retextured resistance too. No problems here with their gear because I add them my own choice of gear.

    I would like a good working lagg free generic OPFOR pack, some new models, some new textures, no need for scripting that is going to lagg or cause buggs, just old fasion simple generic OPFOR, no frills.

    Something that can be used as a gerrilla group in Shouth or Central America, or as an organized army from a small ficticional country in Europe.

    Would it be similar to the RPD sound? You can find a cuple of vids featuring the RPD in this link

    About the recoils, in real life AK47 normally gos up to the right, I don't know about the AK74 and others, but after watching some videos in the net I'm sure your recoils aren't too far from reallity. I just wish that OFP engine could change the aiming after a shot, so the shooter would have to rectifie the aiming like in real life.
