That sounds good, good thinking. That would make you have more flexibility when it comes to choosing what is the grenadier reall going to be doing in a mission. BTW,do the grenade vest take 5 slots, cos I really got confused yesterday doing a weapons loadout script,lol. I was thinking if the back packs could be added into jam, one for East, one for West and one for Resistance. I know that it is not a weapon and that it requieres models, textures and scripting that would make the file size much bigger, and a hole new section on the readme/s, but if someone came with a script/s that can make the AI use this bag packs proply then the introduction of them in JAM would certanly make it more interesting. But thinking about it, you would need a lot of ressearch, and so on, and it would give a bunch of new buggs, etc, so forget it. I won't delete what I just writed because that may give somebody some ideas lol. Regards. @CERO

@ Storm-dk, what have you done all togueder? And by the way, don't be embarrased, its perfectly normal. Did you put the "config.bin" in a "Bin" folder? If this "Bin" folder belongs to a "mod folder", are you using the right shortcut? That shortcut for that "mod folder" you are using, have the right parameters in the target section? I'll hellp you if you like, I'll even make you a configuration with any addons that you may have that would like to use to replace some stuff that you prefere changed. To change the weapons, or add more weapons, you don't do it throught the tools section. Try to open a custom unit wizard, before you add any information, go to file in the window from unit wizard, and clik on "Edit weapons list", you'll be able to work it out from there, its very easy. I'll send you one for JAM2 if you like, its only a notepad file, but I have to reajust the grenade vest slots first, do anybody know how many slots a JAM2 grenade vest takes? Regards. @CERO.

A quik note to add on the read me please. Can the amo slots be inclouded in the weapon and amunition information so scripting loadouts will be much easyer. Its one thing that I got a bit fed up with, is to try to find how many slots in the inventory a grenade vest take, so if you incloude them all even in the ovious ones like rifle amunition that we all know takes 1 slot, it would make things a lot easyer. Hmm, the models are already in the BIS_Weaponpack, so why not. I would need some advice on config values to give them. What rounds do they fire IRL? The same round as the M203/GP30? I belive they fire the same rounds, but I would expect West grenades to have some kind of difference to East grenades, but that would be a pointless efford. A nice thing to do would be the introduction of new explossive amunition for different weapons that can or are allready JAM compatible. About what is been mentioned, models included in JAM? I think that it should be a no no. I Have different mod folders, and not a single one of them shows the stock BIS weapons anymore, no the weapons no the sounds, so when I use JAM I normally see InQuisitors models instead of BIS models. I think that most of players nowdays if not all, use some kind of replacement weapons with some configuration. Regards. @CERO.

Great, I was wayting for that. There is a cuple of issues in my mind, could the MM1 and the 6G30 be inclouded in the weapons available with JAM in the mission editor? Its a bit unrealistic to have a Russian or American heavy grenadier with a M79 Another thing is the hand gun sounds, I find them far too weak for what they represent, a bit more volume and bite on them like the ones from the latest Y2K3, I think that they are great. Another thing is the power and acurancy on JAM_W762Sniper_20mag,on JAM_E762_5mag and on JAM_E762_10mag, the sniper rifles, its that being revised as well? Sorry if some of this sugestions/questions are a bit irrelevant, or if they sound too much too familiar, or whatever, or if they been resolved in the latest MAAM file, I actually haven't tested the lates MAAM because I heard that there was a stron possibility of the MAAM team getting permission to work in a JAM 3, so working in missions or addons using MAAM would be a waste of time with the release of JAM3 by the same team... LOL I'll better shut up now. Regards. @CERO.

As far as I know they hold as much magazines and hand grenades as the standart BIS units, I'll chek that in a second just incase I'm wrong. The only way to increase the amount of grenades for the grenade launchers is to use something like what JAM uses, in Lasers weapons you'll find the "LSR_m203vest". Have a look at this and see if its what you are about. Regards. @CERO.

If you working on a spoting scope it would be ok to have it as a weapon like the M2, make sure its zoomable But like I said a long time ago, I belive that binocular or a spoting scope made as a secondary weapon could work with all the new stuff and ideas that are around nowdays, they would need new animations, but I'm sure that by selecting the spoting scope from the players gear a script could get initialited to play the animations and remove the weapon animations. Are any of you following me or I'm on my own? About the target ranges, I wouldn't go any furder than 500 metres, anything ellse would be considered as rifle scope target, in my opinion, I wouldn't try to hit a target with a M16 that is 600 metres away, you'll have to be bloody good. I think that for assault rifles we should really give it an average of 300 metres, but is been a long long time sense a fire one, so I don't know what is nowdays standarts. Regards. @CERO.

I Was thinking about the International soldier model by Matthijs. Isn't that an open source addon? More here. That could do very well for some units if no all of them. Then I was thinking about retexturing a cuple of other addons and use a good weapons pack, and that would be a nice little mod. You don't even have to make a new terrain, there is thousends that are good enough. I was thinking about a ficticional war between two ficticional sides Regards. @CERO.

I have noticed them, just by mesing about in the mission editor, I noticed while firing from a helicopter, and then they seem to be in all of them, I'm not bother, they look quiet nice, but don't get confused, you are not seeing things, and they are not UFOs Regards. @CERO.

Its there a way to make a target that moves to the sides? for the sniper range would be great. Also, it would be interesting to have positive targets and negative targets. Positive targets would give you points as you hitting an suposed enemy, a negative target would take points from the score, as it would be a friendly or civilian. This would work if the targets were the pop up type of targets, so to test the shooters reaction and acurancy on firing under pressure. The tragets could stay there for a cuple of seconds and then fall back, if the shooter don't hit them or don't see them they will not count or take points from the score. Going by that you could make game targets, like the spiral tipe, or different games. Have you cheked the old flash bang addon that came with the pre-resistance rangers? I think it was that one that had a flash bang that worked against AI, but they needed to execute the script from the inits, so it may be complety different scripting. Regards. @CERO.

@ duck_rat. No mate, don't worry, the worst case scenario is that you'll have to reinstall OFP. If I was you I try a cuple of things: Get your OFP Resistance disc in your computer and go to "My computer"; right clik on the drive where your OFP Resistance is instaled and clik explore. Now you'll be able to see the filles and folders in the CD, double clik in the folder "FlashpointResistance", then once inside that folder double clik in the "Res" folder; and again, once inside this folder clik on addons, and in there, withing the other pbos you'll find a brand shiny sparkling fresh O.pbo. Just replace your old pbo with that one and see if you can run Y2K3 without problems. If you still have problems, I would reinstall Y2K3, and if it don't work try reinstaling OFP all togueder, at list somebody knows exactly what file cause this problem or how to resolve your problem without reinstaling. That's the only way I can hellp you, sorry if that won't do @ Pappy, my missus hates you mate, I could be here playing OFP all day lol, good job, I prefere this version a lot more than the last one.
