    Well,it took some 'doin' but I managed to pack all the tank skins I've posted recently into the new custom version...I did this because I didn't want to do the 'scripting in editor' method ever time I built a mission.This pack allows both the Platoon commanders and their random number versions to co-exist together.But ,if you want the Winter or Desert Platoon Commander sets,they are goig to over-right the Camo Platoon Commander versions.Theres a new tank scheme and the random number versions are desaturated [to look more subdued and worn] download http://files.filefront.com/T72B+ERApackrar/;10829335;/fileinfo.html pic http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/Badger343rd/ScreenShot.jpg

    Hmmm...thats odd...just looked at a whole bunch of photos taken in grozny,when the russians mobilized,and most of those armour units were camo'd??

    I'll simply convert it to what ever format you can use,then you can glean from it what you want.I can also make parts you need as well and send those piece by piece if needed.It would probably take me half the time to make an object than it does in the o2 interface.Studiomax is pretty slick. edit...we can also make both variants...T-90A and T-90S with the shorta systems.

    Vilas' addons

    One of your suspension bars on the rear left side of the LAV has a problem with its model...looks like a stick revolving around as it moves, and is sticking out about 4 feet.Move the vechicle forward or back SLOWLY,so you can see what I mean.If the lav moves too fast it blurs so you won't notice it.

Here's a possible fix for the water bug caused by the "Other mods bin.pbo".I use XAM so I simply de-pbo'd the beta bin and copied the shader files from it into a de-pbo'd XAM bin and packed it up again...worked like a charm.Now my water edge looks as it should.I uploaded the file here: http://download.yousendit.com/177819F6017A6E0F Note ,this rar is only a fix for my XAM install,but the method I used may work with other mods.

    Yeah,well it could also be said,judging by the thread history, that the author had  conflicting points of view.Atleast thats how I view it at this point.And MAYBE,if there wasn't so much territorialism in this community,we wouldn't have the flameing modder wars that we've seen in the past.Its sad to think how much work will never be seen  because of it.My moto has always been "Rule of the North". BTW...I did post screenshots wayyyy back in the thread. Anyways,I'm still workin on the tank and its looking better,by reducing the saturation,its looks alot more believable.That maybe the reason people were not likeing the first version rhs released.It glowed too much.Atleast thats what I thought comparing to to the arma xtreme t-72's.Lowering saturation seems to make it less obtrusive.Might wanna consider that in the next version.I'm hopeing someone will comment on the "metal" aspects on textures.Is that something thats a result of the model material process or the texture process?

    It's simply not friendly (& "not done") to change something and then release it seperatly without the consent of the original author. That's about it Theres nothing unfriendly about it ,and it is done .In fact ,I 've modded in all sorts of games as well as here,where produceing and releaseing something has led to co-operative work with original authors.Its all in the context.So if your implying that its some sort of unfriendly attack or something ,well thats just ...stupid. In fact its quite the opposite,its done in the spirit of helping them and the willingnes to contribute rather than just critisize.Something that this community could do alittle more of IMO.I'm pretty sure that I,m in no way shape or form ,a threat to anybody for painting a tank

    Well...if ya  go back through this thread,most of the critique are on the skin itself,and most of your replys to those critiques implied "if ya think you can do a better one ...do so", or that you didn't think you could do a better job than you did.I mainly got this impression when you replied to miles teg but you refered to this notion before hand.And when you think of it...doesn't the beta itself do the same thing?It will be different just as mine is,which is only a texture edit.So what happens if people like the previous version compared to the future one???Anyways...with that said,what do you think of this version? like it,don't like it??I myself  can't help thinking it looks like a tiffany lamp ...I'm trying to solve that today.Anyways,If the future version is going to be such a greater looking tank,then all this is mute, as everyone will use it instead,including myself.So no conflicts.

    One thing I forgot to ask... With my setup ,I cant give any commands to the gunner (or anyone else)while in TC mode..is that normal?

    Ok heres my gripe When in the TC mode,you can lock a target using the num/ key and track its movement...BUT...as soon as you switch back to command computer mode(V key),the view switchs back to a defaut view looking North.Is there any way you can change it so it maintains the tracking view direction when the mode switch is made?Its disorienting switching between the two.Also what does the "U S" button (next the stop button)stand for? What I would rather have...and this is just a suggestion...is to have the "Move turret" and "target Hostile" button on the TC view and allow it to command fire,and leave the "Command computer mode" view be strictly a map view for tactical commands.This would emulate the real deal of the Commander Over-ride taking targeting and fire control.Just a thought. Or even better!!...have only the 1 view but toggle the TC and map,one mode to the other, and leave the buttons and function where the are.So they share the buttons.

    I felt the default color scheme didn't fit too well with the t-72's in arma xtreme so I re-textured it to someting alittle closer...desaturated the green ,made it darker and gave it so camo effect,turned out pretty good I think. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/Badger343rd/T-64.jpg also...did anyone else think the tank looks alittle too small when parked next to the t-72?shouldn't they be about the same size? the t-64 looks like a toy next to its brother.

    XAM 1.3 Released

    I've been asking this all over the forum within the last hour or so...so i figured I'd ask the horse himself...(Im sure i'm sounding like a broken record) how can we apply the emmersion sounds of your mod (ie the tanks radio's) to new mods being released(ie the t-64's)??Cause its really something we shouldn't do with out.It adds sooooo much to the gameing experience.Is there something we can do ourselves to apply the sounds to the newer mods or does it have to happen on your end with each release?

    umm...does this mod have the tank radio sounds in it??I had tried an old version and don't recall...and since then I've switched to arma xtreme 1.3,so I was wondering if this would solve the loss of the radio's in the new tank mods comming out?
