    Like I said,someone will have to do it cause I don't know what has to change .Once that config is done I'll adopt it. Let me clarify things abit here...what I'm doing is resurecting old addons that everyone misses in arma,and updating them with a variant as well...ie the t-90 became both a t-90 and t-90S.As I'm still just learning O2,I simply don't know how to do all the things needed yet to make them independent.But,what I can do is make them available for anyone to change,be it an intergration,or separate enity.What this method has proved ,is that finished playable addons can be done in a very short period of time,by poeple that don't have the skills or knowledge.If someone can improve what I've done then they have the opportunity to do so.If you've noticed I've picked projects that have multiple contributors in their develpoement due to openess.Until I learn more  its all I can do.Think about it...I released two finished tanks(3 really if you count the t-72 ERA repaints...5 if you include the BTR-80's) in just 5 days...without even knowing how to build them.When normally it takes months of developement and discussion for other similar projects.Its better I think to have an addon thats close to finished, than not at all ...rather than just be waiting for something that may or may not get released.I mean how many times have you seen a cool addon screenshot that never sees the light of day??... Come to think of it...I find it strange that an obvious choice for an addition to Arma was never completed.I've seen atleast two projects of the t-90 that looked (atleast to me) finished...but they evaporated.I gotta wonder why,when I did it in less that 2 days without even knowing how??? Bottom line is,if it conflicts with your addon folder,you have two options,1)don't install it,or 2)make another addon folder that you can toggle on or off. now with that said...how long do you think it would take for someone that knows how to do a config file to post one here for me to adopt??..... What I really need is to team up with someone that knows what I don't EDIT...I'll even take it a step further,I'll be willing to teach anyone what I know to this point on teamspeak...just ask.

    This is a retexture of sea demons BTR-80,and also a re-modeled version representing a BTR-80A.Its a work in progress.I couldn't do the proper exit points for the bullets and tracers as I simply don't know how.Hopefully someone will fix it(or aleast tell me how to fix it).I also hope this can be finished to be made as a duel vehicle pack.As is you have to replace the pbo each time you want the different version.But in time I'm sure it will happen.Enjoy.The one you see in the pic is alittle different than current version,it has a searchlight on top and the gun is now a camo to match the rest of the hull.The scheme you see here is made for both the btr80 and "A" version.The shark mouth was for fun. pic: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/Badger343rd/Btr80A.jpg download: http://files.filefront.com/BTR+80r....fo.html

    Man......you would not believe what I had to go through to get the fixes for this version...lets just say I never wanna see an O2 interface for a good long time. Anyways change log is as follows: Version 5 Fixed the turret machinegun bullet/tracer placement,had to rebuild from another p3d to do it.Dunno how it happed but I couldn't fix it any other way. Reconfigured the rear sight on the commanders MG to the down position(stupid thing was always in the way anyways)Ya now have a better field of view turned out. reverted all T-90A's to the same model(they all look the same 3dwise)...more accurate anyways and I would think less CPU processing needed?? I left numbers on them to function as a platoon of 3 tanks. And finally the crown jewel of this release..... The fourth tank is now a NEW variant...Its now a T-90S with low Vis camo.Looks pretty good actually.I think I like it better than the T-90A's. Since I used the p3d from the custom pack,I would think its possible to set them up as random number and custom texture versions ,if anyone tackles this config,then I'll repaint them to match.I just didn't know how to implement it. well thats it for now,hope there isn't any mistakes I overlooked...enjoy.     Hmmmm...I never noticed the machine gun issue...Looks like another version to be released fellas, sorry.Maybe I'll use the opportunity to remodel the Commander MG into a proper Cord,so look for an update in the near future(it'll bug me if I don't fix it)Anyone know what that tracer/muzzel burst is connected too or what its called ?...musta got caught in a move/merge at some point.Message to BIS...A 3dmax plugin sure would be great...........hint hint...........As for the other fixes ie pbo thing,not sure I have the knowledge to do it...I can cut and paste to some degree,but there comes a point when I don't know what exactly to cut and paste... Configs are just a black hole to me...sucks the life outta ya.

    Well,I think I'm done with this tank...gettin sick of workin on it. version 4 changes(probably final): Added a 4th tank to the platoon.This is a low vis scheme(was gettin tired of lookin at that yellow) and isn't numbered.Has a WW2 slogan in cyrilic on the barrel,"For the Motherland".(Not to be confused nor taken for any political statement of current affairs,...it was just for fun.)     Well...here we go again,I learned some things. VERSION 3.0 update changes: Fixed alot of texture problems on the model(black areas are now textured) Added more ERA and details  to topside of turrent. Changed the look of the IR emitters with more detail in the model.Changed the textures too,it just looked too bland. Made each of the 3 T-90 models unique so you can tell who's your 2nd and who's your third wingman at a distance.Small changes, but adds a nice touch IMHO. 301 has snorkel and numbers and flags  are in different places,302 has NO snorkel or barrels,303 has NO snorkel but has 1 fuel barrel(lost the other one in battle..hehe) All in all this is a much slicker version,looks alot more "finished". I'll still be workin on it so future version may have different variants of T-90...ie a Command tank T-90SK(just need to find a pic of it,haven't been able to yet...anyone got one??)     Ok...updated version.Changes are: added another smoker to the right side of the tank,reconfigured the ERA to be more exact to the T-90A,Changed emitters to red (Meaning covers are off),added more details to turrent to match T-90A configuration.Slight change to texture(little bear on the ass end..hehe...its an actual piece of nose art from a russian piece of kit,I just think He's so cool) I haven't added anything to the config file(modEmMaik,I didn't know what exactly to do with them??) so loadout is still stock (I think?)T-72.I didn't fix the textures on the ERA edges as I couldn't figure out how(even with an explaination...duh)so I hope someone will fix it.Theres still a few little things need doin IMHO,but again its beyond my scope.I'd like to see dedicated textures to the ERA,not borrowed from the turrent,but thats a UVW task which I'm not ready to attempt.Smoke Launcher that works.... I'd also like to see a proper IR housing built with more details,same for the ERA turret topside,and the thingy's just above the cannon(dunno what they are?)but that again is adding NEW stuff to the model which I don't know how to do.I've pretty much taken this as far as I can,So hopefully someone will finish it off to 100%.ModEmMaik,if you could explain alittle more how to add the ATGM ammo,that'd be great.It just didn't seem that I could just switch configs??But I'm probably wrong.I wasn't sure so I left it.Anyways...enjoy this new Tank killer and please someone take it to the finishline.

    I really can't say I understand any of it...at this point anyway.As far as I know I haven't created anything that wasn't already there.I'm only transforming whats already in the model,not adding to it externally.If that makes any sense?I may be adding TOO a section...but not adding a section in itself.If this needs to be optimized,then its beyond my skill,and will have to be left to someone else.Atleast until I understand more of O2.Which could be never IF you'd like to go ahead and optimize it...feel free I'll be posting an updated version today,once I get it rared up and uploaded.

    Thanks.I'll check the config out today...still workin on that texture problem. BTW,Any Ideas about how to switch an objects rotation after its been copied ...ie..a mg part is slaved to the mg rotation,but I want to copy a part and slave it to the turrents rotation..any ideas?

    @modEmMaik...question... when you did the ERA on the t-72's...there are black areas around the edges of the wedges...do you know what causes this and if it can be changed to match the main textures of the ERA panels?I noticed that in the desert version ,this doesn't happen and I can't figure out why?

    I hope that I can complete some replacement configs during the afternoon (replacment configs, so the original T-90 addon is needed to be installed): -replacement config1: T-90 existing layout replaces BI's T-72 -replacement config2: T-90 icluding WGL T-90 armor and Marijus ammunition layout plus hamis sounds (this may disable 6'th sense tracers and sounds from soundmods for the T-90) -replacement config3: T-90 icluding WGL armor and Marijus ammunition layout plus hamis sounds replaces BI's T-72 (this may disable 6'th sense tracers and sounds from soundmods for the T-90) Those implementations will be quick and dirty and for the T-90 only, so do not expect too much  @badger343: Do you plan to release a binarized version? I noticed some messages in the ArmA.RPT. Not too much, but they wont pop up using a binarized version.  I have no Idea how to do all that...I'll leave that to you to decide what to do with it in regards to the whole T-72ERA/T-90 pack thingy.Its simply beyond my current understandig of how or why these things are done.

    I have a weee problem...I'm adjusting the ERA and other bits to look more like the real thing.I want to use a piece of the Machine gun(the ammo bin actually) too create a better looking housing for the IR emitters(cause its already textured a worn green color and I want to save from having to build and texture a new one)...BUT...when I copy and paste the new part,it is still slaved to the Mg rotation,but I need to reslave it to the turrent rotation...can someone explain how this is done?

    What is seen here is only 1 days work...I'll keep on mess'n with it and update as I go along.What would be cool is if someone could edit the config for proper ammo.The ERA needs tweaking but I didn't want to risk messing it all up and having nothing to upload,so I released it as is.AND...IF anyone wants to give it a whirl...please do.Lots of room here to tweak.

    Well,I didn't make a ATGM version,as the config thingy just aint my bag,so it has the same weapons as the T72 era...But...if ya wanna make one............by all means go ahead.I'll use it myself if ya do. whats really needed is if someone would take it into O2 and give it a good revamp...adding the era to the hull and proper IR emitters.I simply couldn't do it with the knowledge I have in O2...which is nill. BTW...those things that look like eyes are actually "Russian Guards" insignia...not eyeballs.

    heres what I did...I didn't want to use the custom texture feature for mission building,so I made it that you can put the tank on the map that you want through the editor itself.But also I replaced the textures with the platoon version (with out the platoon numbering) in with the random numbering system and also the ATGM versions then packed it together for my personel use.I then went on to make the t-90 and repacked it in with the others and uploaded it to my storage site.Confusing yes...but all ya have to do is back up what ya have and experiment with the ones in the pack.Then you can decide what ya want and what ya don't.or mix and match if ya get bored.

    the mg is simply a modified dshk ,tweaked the end of the barrel and added an overgrown ammo box to the other side.Looks convincing enough.I'm hopeing someone with better skills will run with this,as I really am lost in O2....3dmax it aint.

    My philosophy is the "Rule of the North" anything I do is open to anyone that wants to play with it.No permission needed,no credit needed.To much "this is mine and you can't use it" bull.So go ahead and take it to the mat. BTW...I got my new comp back and have re-installed studio max.So the T-90 offer still stands along with a Mi-28 Havoc.I may even start on a Tunguska.This goes for anyone thats wants to develope it.I only ask to be part of that developement to learn more.

    SmurfC T72A ERA upgrade "style"

    I have converted the random numbers to ATGM (random Number set only,have yet to do the platoon version)...if I succeed with the platoon set I'll upload it as a complete pack.I think if the tank normally carries this weapon,it should have it.What say you all ?? I'm just not sure about the missle sound??...should we hear a distinct missle SWOOOSH sound ??...cause all I hear is a cannon fireing sound? another thing to consider is if the AI can opertate the missiles properly? its damn hard to shoot these things in hilly terrain.........

    I'll try to explain it here... smurfc_era.pbo and t72_era_custom.pbo are platoon commander and random number (in that order)...the rar that has BOTH pbo's inside are the woodlandish type platoon version and random number.The other two rars (smurfc_era.pbo) contain the Winter and Sandy Desert platoon versions that you have the option to change out from the woodland platoon version.The custom slot is within the other pbo which I don't really know how to use(which is why I changed out the core textures to avoid the scripting thingy)...make sense?? ...so If ya want a winter platoon with random numbers...just unrar the winter and over-right smurfc_era.pbo and presto...platoon winter with all other random number versions.
