We do need some sort of protection against guys who destroy a perfectly good running game, with others enjoying teamwork. I tried to post something up back in early January but it fell on deaf ears(I was hoping BIS may take an interest & see that there is a problem):- my old post from January So far we have roughly banned about 25 guys for constant, deliberate TKing (After they had been warned)I find it  not fair to ruin a perfect played game because a TKer comes on and abuses these rights, then having to run a server down just to ban these idiots. The gameplay is then ruined!! Lets hope this issue will be sorted out soon, wether it be form BIS or even decent server admins or even the guys sticking their heads together to stop these ppl ruining the gameplay.

Hello Gents, We have been experiencing some problems with AA Players within our server. I suppose we are not the only ones!! Is there a programm/software being built to patrol the servers against ppl who abuse the server rules?? i.e. Such as Wolfrat? We do not want ppl to come onto our server & abuse others whilst in game or even TK for that matter just because the person wants to ride as pilot in a chopper. We use Wolfrat to patrol our JO server, where it checks all chatlog(abusive langauge, TKing etc) When ppl are abusive they get auto punted after so many points. So my question is, do we have something of this sort for AA?? As I am sure Admins of these servers need it. It isn't fair for others when you have idiots abusing servers. We need some sort of programme which patrols abusive langauge within the chat which records players names. We also need some sort of database to check up on names so we can get access to their ID numbers...... I'm sure other admins have also had this same problem. Â Would be great if anyone could give info on this

Huh? Don't know about ArmA, but in OFP you typically needed an admin to get the game started without total chaos. Usually the first person there votes themself in and just remains admin. I've never seen anyone playing without one. Hmm. What about players abusing admin powers? One of these every few days and no one is going to play on your server again. I know you can have " vote admin" available on the server so a player can be voted admin, but this has also led to complaints as all it takes is a handfull of idiots to capture the Admin function and ruin things for others. Â Â

I have just heard that the game AA does not support rcon(remote connection) or even RAT!! Guys this cant be right or is it?? I have even tried a programme called GCAADST Armed Assault Dedicated Server Tool which will not work from a dedicated server!!!!! I am pulling my hair out!! Â Good example today:- We have had in the space of 9Hrs over 145+ ppl visiting our AA server. From these 145+ ppl we had problems with 14 ppl Abusing the server and a further 6 being banned...... I think we need help for server admins!!!!! Â Â

Yes but TBPH do you think that guys are gonna vote an admin on to punt ppl, whilst in game?? And if there is an official admin on, he has to monitor(in game) if anything is going wrong with either abusive players/TKing deliberately.......... I am not too sure how you other guys, who, have got servers do it but we have had our server to med. capacity i.e. 40+ players most nights where there have been instances where some have abused their rights as a member of public & have disrupted games because of it!!! Now I think we should have some sort of programme software to deal with that kind of situation within AA (i.e. Wolfrat is a server manager & records chatlog from the ppl who have sent messages, we then can check up on his name and from there we can either warn/punt/ban that person unless the auto punt is recording on it's own whereas it will do this by itself) So obviously AA does not have this or no one knows of anything?? I still think we should have something to help server admins keep a great game, just that...... a great game & let it not be spoilt by others.

So what happens when no admin are on then??? Sorry to say but I think this will become a major eye sore for server admins............. BIS!!!! We need some sort of protection & or some programme to help the Admin out

Try downloading the patch 1.02, had similiar problems. Also I turned my firewall off. Since then no problems since. Also check this link here

I had similiar problems like that as well but on the full game version. After turning my firewall of & downloading the patch 1.02 I have no problems since. Not sure if this helps ya.

 So far we have been up n running for the last 24hrs without a hitch   We have had lots of peeps visiting us,  including some from our rival unit   So far I would like to thank all in the positive feedback that we have recieved. Â

 Well I am not too happy at the moment  German version with 1.01 Patch I have been trying the multiplayer and visiting different servers, when I try to connect I get the message "Verbindung gescheitert" which mean "connection failed". I have turned of my firewall......... When I do eventually get into a game server, it freezes my whole computer up   Has anybody else been having this problem? Specs:- Cpu Athlon 3200+ 6800GT 1Gig Ram

Cheers guys, will try it out. No Placebo I have nothing like their warnings but like I say I dont even see that far as my PC just goes lame and freezes & this is usually when I have joined multiplayer and am playing the game..... Oh well, if at first you dont succeed, try try again.

 I have been able to connect to multiplayer this morning  And I still have this problem of my computer freezing up. I am not sure if it's my PC(although it's been thoroughly checked) I dont have this problem with any other games, just on ArmA!!!   I uninstalled ArmA & now I have re-installed it, SAME PROBLEM  Once my computer freezes then I have to reboot it!!! HELP!! I'm GOING OUTTA MA WITS END HERE   Â

I certainly would like to hear a better audio officially approved from BIS before I start downloading patches from stuff like BF2 or Ghost Recon. I must admit the sounds in AA are a bit lacking!!!! sorry to say this but i'ts true.... You jump in a truck & you have a sound like a tuc tuc......

So does that mean that all pbo files we had in OFP(units/vehicles) will not work in the AA Addon files? As I had all the British Aircraft/Vehicles.... So I lose them huh?? Ok so if thats a NO....... can I get the British stuff for AA then?? If so where can I get them ??

Is there some site where we can download maps made from these dedicated people who give all their free time to make them?? Like in JO there was a site called dfbarracks where ppl could upload their own maps and where you could also download the maps as well. So is there such a site at the moment??

Since when do Para's fly choppers Boss? Well Tel before you fly them m8, you'll need yer pilots license. So before you get your license you have to change units....lol Â
