    Hi Gunter, I was in the middle of downloading COWarMod to use with I44 when I stumbled upon this. :( I would love to see that list if you have the time. I may as well let the DL finish and use the working ones, if any. cheers m8
  2. Just had a go at the training before jumping out to dl the patch. Looks great over all. It's also great and refreshing to finally hear decent acting...in a arma related game. Really looking forward to getting into the rest of the game. One big problem is the player weapon sounds. They're really weak, mainly because they're ridiculously quiet..like arma2. They're the same volume as a guy 30 feet away. Please please please turn up the players weapon volume in the next patch.

    Yeah I mean the whole game crash's to desktop - but only when I get killed. edit: I've tried it about 10 times now and it's the same everytime (with and without addons). Pity, because it's really great.

  5. Hi there, Would someone mind talking me through making a trigger that makes a unit playable only after a task is completed? I have some reinforcements sitting in a chopper off world which I can call in after Task1 is completed (they join my squad via a trigger). But I don't want the option to switch to them until they're on the ground. Is this possible? any help greatly appreciated.

    Patch 1.05 Satisfaction Survey

    I was going to post a mission that I started before the patch but the AI is so broken now that the timing is all shot to sh*t. No point trying to fix it until the AI gets fixed - if it gets fixed. Is there any official response from BIS about this? Please finish this game before you release another.

  8. sounds great Chammy. Really loving the impact and ricochet sounds too. Way more threatening than any other mod or vanilla. I agree that the cracks are a bit loud.

    Can anyone help me with this line? 'addSwitchableUnit unit1, unit2, unit3' this gives me a 'missing ]' error. I guess I'm missing 3 kinds of brackets, a question mark, maybe a dancing banana? :icon_wink:

    yeah thanks for that. I actually found those already but I'm not sure what to do with them. The wiki isn't very noob friendly. I have unit1 , unti2 etc as playable. Do I make a trigger and put addSwitchableUnit unit1, unit2 etc in the act of trigger? And put task1 in the condition? If so what should the syntax look like in the act? ---------- Post added at 08:43 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:03 AM ---------- ok so I've got one of the units playable with this 'addSwitchableUnit unit1' in the triggers act and task1 in the condition. But what do I put in it to add unit2 unit3 etc? 'addSwitchableUnit unit1, unit2, unit3' gives me a missing ] error. Can someone help me with the line?

    Auto Reinforce - SOM

    Hi, When I put this in the init of the SOM i get a 'missing;' error. Am I missing something? edit: Got it. It was the double quotes around settings, should be single. ---------- Post added at 02:08 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:34 AM ---------- This is working great. Does anyone know how you would limit it to only being able to reinforce once or twice throughout the mission?

  15. I've checked the scripting/editing sticky's threads but I can't find the answer to this. I have a trigger which is OPFOR 'not present'. Works great but you have to kill everything...I would like it to trigger when there are less than 5 enemy left within the trigger. What code do I put in its condition to say "when enemy presence is less than 5" I've tried "enemy <=5" and "OPFOR <=5" and a few others but I'm obviously way off the mark. :icon_wink: Thanks for any help.

    Hmm I'll have to try GL4. Does Cypher and Panthera use the First aid modules or is it the basic medic stuff? edit: didn't see you said with and without BIS medic system. But if GL4 fixes what I've stated above, I'm there.

    Just to chip in - For me the AI not following is very noticeable and a game breaker since the patch (ACE or no ACE) But even worse, the medics will not help me ever. They will however eventually help AI if I order them to but I can yell all day, standing next to them, behind a building, out of fire, and nothing...It never used to be like that. Please fix it BIS.
  19. I love the variation within each weapon sound. It not only breaks your own weapon sound up but most importantly when you've got five guys around you firing the same weapon it doesn't sound so painfully repetitive like it does in vanilla. Great decision, it's that kind of attention to detail that makes me feel fluffy inside. Chammy, sounds like that earth quake might have jiggled your pc a little too much mate. Or it's time for a reinstall. I know...I know... painful.

This Mod is truly sensational! ....I have to agree with Alex72 in that the M4 still sounds a bit muffled compared to the others. btw I'm using a sound card (a bit old though but better than on board) and I'm set to headphones. edit: hmm my sound card is Audigy2 as well.
  21. I love the overall sounds in the mod, the echo's, impacts, quality and variation are tremendous. Great work and a big Thankyou for all your hard work. I have to agree with a few of the others on the more oomph/volume from the players perspective. They're just a bit muffled and quiet - mainly M16s, M4s and M240 are the ones I've noticed. The AK's sound really good from the players view though imo.

    secops support types

    It seems since the patch 1.5 my ammo drops don't work anymore. The c130 flies over and veers off without dropping anything. I re-DL'd this test scene http://www.mediafire.com/?wzdnh51wbym and it's broken too. Anyone have any clues why that would be?
  23. Chammy, does your mod replace bullet impact sounds? They sound pretty whimpy at the moment to me. Not sure if they're vanilla or ACE's but neither have a threatening sound/volume.

    I agree. The patch has killed the AI for me. It's like dragging cowards into combat. "Move damn it!!"
