Is there a non-steam version available? I only see steam versions in the BI store for the higher prices. I wouldn't mind buying the supporter edition but I won't buy anything related to steam. -

I have to say, I'd prefer two separate accounts for the store and for the forum. At this time I do have the same email address for both but I'd prefer these not to be migrated for security reasons. Plus on the forums I have a nickname but in the store account I have to have my real name because of credit card information. I'd like to get assurances that my identity is not revealed after the profile change. -
There's nothing wrong with frequent beta patches - if you don't like them, don't use them. Otherwise they're a great way to test fixes and to get fixes for bugs as soon as possible.

Yeah, I got the discount coupon, too. I wasn't particularly upset about the sale after putting in the order and, just like Johan S said a few posts back, it's not the money that matters - it's a really nice gesture and I appreaciate it. This reinforces my belief that BIS is one of a few companies that deserve support. Thanks a lot.

I can't reproduce this now with a different mission. If I can get a reliable steps to get this to happen, I'll report it in the tracker. For now, it seems more likely that the Flashpoint: Zargabad mission is flawed.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure it's not that - I have a dedicated folder for your addon and I only ever copy it there. Plus I restarted the mission I had the problem with the previous version of SupportCall that corrupted the mission, so I tried 6 or 7 times (same mission, but 6 or 7 restarts). I'll try again to see if I can reproduce it - if I can, I'll let you know. I also have quite a few other addons but my .rpt only had that message related to the SupportCall not being recognized. -
I just downloaded 1.15.1 and now I'm getting these errors in the .rpt: Error in expression < { if (!canStand _thisunit) then { if (!isNil (_thisunit getVariable "asr_nolegs> Error position: <isNil (_thisunit getVariable "asr_nolegs> Error Generic error in expression File x\asr_ai\addons\sys_aiskill\fnc_AINet_pf.sqf, line 70 I have about 30,000 of these after roughly 10 minutes of playing - all errors are the same.

Thanks for the fast updates! :) One issue, though: seems like the 1.6.1 archive on your website is corrupt - I downloaded several times, it always downloads as supportcall.zip, 123,388 bytes but when I open it, it cannot be decompressed. Edit: I also noticed that upon reloading a mission, the support addon gets corrupted and it seems to corrupt the mission as well. I'm trying Flashpoint Zargabad 1.19 and when I request 1 extra weapon, a few satchels and some extra ammo, they get dropped but if I reload the mission the addon dialog comes up empty and the action menu of the mission doesn't work anymore (it comes up but the menu items don't do anything). I also get these errors (~30 of them) in the .rpt: Addon kron_supportcall (entry KRON_SC_Supplybox) not found in the list of active addons. One more bit of information: when the problem (whatever it is) kicks in, the savegame size goes up from ~20 MB to ~130 MB. -

I, too, had one crash earlier that specifically happened while using the support addon - I had the dialog up on the screen and it was still loading item lists when I tried to move my character forward using the arrow keys on the keyboard. (I didn't expect it to work but I wanted to try.) When I pressed the button, the game crashed. I haven't tried reproducing it yet (I don't have much time to play so I just don't press keys while it's loading) but otherwise I don't have crashed (and didn't have one for a while). Yet another feature request: request backpack drop! (All backpack types.) I'm getting greedy. ;) -

Yes, I agree that this would be nice - it simply throws in a few extra AIs on the enemy side. Extra AI may wreak havoc on a mission, though, so this may be hard / unsafe to implement. -

It's not my usual play style but I enjoyed the heck out of abusing your addon Kronzky, thanks for making it. :D As a suggestion, it'd be nice to have a "Clear Weather" and "Rainy Weather" option. It'd be nice to replay some missions in different circumstances without having to unpack the .pbo. -
Yeah, I agree with that. It's a strange thing because I love sci-fy & fantasy and even watched a few zombie movies but when it comes to Arma, I'm a stickler for reality and just cannot get into the zombie gameplay. I'd love for someone transform DayZ into something like MP Abandoned Armies where players & AI on both sides could carry weapons.

I think the Arma setting is the best, then Reinhard and finally default. I don't like Filmic at all, because there's hardly any contrast in it. -
It'd be possible to add the already-exisiting DayZ code to the core game / file set but that won't come at no cost. While the base development may have been done by the author of DayZ, it still needs to be bug-fixed, tested, packaged into the installer, etc. The central database must be maintained, etc. All of these are ongoing activities which require people and money. As I said, I have no problem with people modding for these kind of things (in fact it's great that it's possible), I don't want to pay for it. So if zombies come out as a DLC, I'd be fine with that - as long as their cost is not in the core game pricing. Now, if such zombie devleopment would lead to some breakthrough in AI coding, etc., I may even change my mind.

I, too, am against this. It affects available developer/artist resources which I'd prefer work on the main game. I have nothing against zombie missions/addons but they're not the core simulator and that could use a lot more extra work in several areas. I'd prefer not to support (pay for) the development of anything zombie-related in Arma. If people like that, they can already make mods which can be very successful, as DayZ proves.

Thanks Kronzky for this - I was playing a mission some time back where the mission offered a number of weapons and it turned out later into the mission that only one weapon actually had ammo for it in the mission - once I used up the starting ammo (which wasn't much), there was no way to rearm (the mission auto-removed dead bodies 5 seconds after death). The only solution was to restart from the beginning. -
Yeah, I expected that, just wanted "official" word on it - mainly because I don't know it's possible for Steam to push distribution outside of Steam itself.

This is really cool, I also preordered. Since I read a few posts back in this thread people guessing if the preorder is for a Steam version, can someone from BIS please confirm that this preorder is NOT a Steam version? (I absolutely do not want anything from Steam.)
