  1. I released the final version of my B61-10 in collaboration with Indy.

    BOOM1s.jpgBOOM2s.jpgBOOM3s.jpg

    BOOM4s.jpgBOOM5s.jpgBOOM6s.jpg

    features:

-2 modes avaiable for the B61: Free Fall and IR or laserguided

    -Warning messages

    -Special explosion effects:

    -Flash of intense light

    -Intense light simulating the heat

    -Shockwave

    -Mushroom

    -Dust

-Parachute for the free fall bomb

-The bomb can be disarmed after launch (the dropped bomb doesn't explode after impact on ground)

-Sound of the atomic explosion and of the dropped bomb

    The complessive radius of the A-bomb is about 1400 meters;

-Total destruction (all buildings destroyed): 800-850 meters from the ground zero

-Heavy destruction (armored vehicles destroyed or heavy damaged): 1000 meters from the ground zero

-Light destruction (pelope died and vehicles light damaged): 1300 meters from the ground zero

post here your comments, thanks biggrin_o.gif

  2. So has the freefall version been released yet?

Also how come the A-10 flies INSANELY fast ? biggrin_o.gif

I tried flying it to drop the bomb and it was going over 1000!

also the A-bomb needs to be scripted so it flattens trees and kills EVERYTHING and everyone in the 1000km radius.

but other then that its AWESOME!! you can make some really cool battles with this in the backdrop

    excellent work

the A10 is fast for escape to the explosion  biggrin_o.gif

  3. the A-bomb needs to be scripted so it flattens trees and kills EVERYTHING and everyone in the 1000km radius.

There isn't a bomb on earth with a blast radius of 1000 kilometers  crazy_o.gif

    1000 meters not 1000 kilometers smile_o.gif

the B61-10 has 5kt yeld. (about 1000-1500 meters of max shockwave and heat damage radius)

the addon is in betatesting. coming soon biggrin_o.gif

  4. Quote[/b] ]Liebe StrikeNet-Gemeinde!

    rock.gif where are the screens?

  5. This is my new favorite addon!

I have a question, what damage is the bomb susposed to do? I detonated 5 of these babies in that large town on the East Coast on Tonal and only some of the shacks were flattened, all buildings remained...

(or did BAS just make the building's health too high?

the damage radius is about 1200-1300m... biggrin_o.gif

and the damage of a primary shockwave is 500000 damage point...

probabilty the building's health of houses is too hight or the buildings are indistructibiles (is it correct? asd.gif) smile_o.gif

    try on everon biggrin_o.gif

  6. What's the name of the A10?

All of these things should have been put into a readme file.

    sad_o.gif

Another thing that would be useful in the readme file is the name of the bomb itself so that a mission editor can make a "camcreate" script to simply call into existence this bomb over a target area at a certain altitude in order to simulate a nuclear attack.

Also the name of the bomb would allow perhaps a mission maker to add the bomb to different aircraft.

But the scripts for doing that would need to be included in the readme file.

But there wasn't even a readme file with this addon.

So I hope that all of this information is added in the readme file to avoid pages and pages of people asking "How do you do this and this and this." on these threads about this weapon.

The explosion looks great by the way.  smile_o.gif

don't worry: in the final version i will put the readme and demo mission... biggrin_o.gif

  7. WEST - A10 B61 bomb test

    Well something like that  wink_o.gif

As I am replying, how do you specify what bomb to release over a target via trigger or waypoint. I am a noob at editing but I would like to see one of these babys dropped from a distance.  biggrin_o.gif

(name of A10) doFire (name of target)

    ie: A doFire B

  8. yes i found that out already...

tested it on everon... saint philippe

i'm sitting in the DKM Challenger and the Nuclear Impact was 432.17 m (!) away and i didnt get killed? a bit unrealistic...

    but very nice effect

eh, it isn't final version.. i must fix some bug biggrin_o.gif

  9. now the bomb is an B61 mod 4, 10 kt version. It has 1200 meters of blast damage. smile_o.gif

(sorry for bad english, i'm learning biggrin_o.gif )

edit: i can take more screenshots if you want biggrin_o.gif

I keep trying to tell you, you can NOT say that a 10kt Nuke has a 1200m blast radius, and the next moment say a 2kt nuke has a 1200m radius.  There are physical constants here.

A deadly blast radius of 1200m is calculated to come from a ~5Kt nuclear weapon.  Not 10kt.

    uhm....

    are you sure? :|

Yeah, pretty sure about that, you have to consider 3 factors of the nuclear warhead detonating, heat energy (travelling fast ;) ) or thermal radiation, blast wave, and ionizing radiation.

The basic equations accurate upto 20kt (actually I mean they are quite accurate even past 20Kt, but burst height plays a role in everything)

    r_thermal = Y^0.41 * constant_th

    r_blast = Y^0.33 * constant_bl

    r_radiation = Y^0.19 * constant_rad

where Y is in multiples of 2.5Kt

constants can be left at 1 giving you ranges of:

    3rd degree burns (8 calories/cm^2)

    4.6 psi blast overpressure

    500 rem radiation dose

ok tnx. i edit the bomb. biggrin_o.gif

5 kt = 1200 meter of shockwave or heat radius?

    B61 mod 4 5 kt rock.gif

  10. Man, I think they should make it so that you can flatten trees and shit.  That would be so tight!

flatten? i don't know this word LOL

i'm going to search on the vocabolary daasdsadsad biggrin_o.gif

    edit: flatten = appiattire lol

the nuke flatten all zone around the gorund zero biggrin_o.gif
