afaik.. ai if they spot you they "know" about you and if you hide or go out of sight they still know about you but the longer you stay hidden the more their imformation become distorted until they eventually lose you completely... same seems to go for humans when given a target by the group leader (the big yellow target box) appears on the enemy and if that enemy goes out of sight and stays out line of sight for any length of time that yellow box will start to move around (as the information become more distorted) untill it no longer shows exactly where that enemy is.. like somone said if you see someone run behind a bush and dont come out its pretty obvious where they are hiding tho.. that reminds me of a very funny monty pythons sketch which was also recreated in ofp ..as a comedy sketch cutscene wonder if that mission is still knocking around for download somewhere ?? found it search avons FAQ for monty python or how not to be seen

i know it is a daunting task but its something most people have had to do at some point..i know i have.. you get tons of addons in your addons folder and end up not knowing what the hell is what...this is what causes all the problems because you end up getting stuff like older versions of the same addons in your folder and this is where the problems start.. try putting them in alphabetical order because most addons nowadays have a "tag" eg BAS UKF SJB and so on...things like this should be easy to organise and you can make a BAS folder and put all those in there... check munks link for how to set the folders up..most people use the @ symbol for modfolders eg. @BAS this puts them at the top of the list in your ofp folder and also makes them stand out from the normal game folders making it easier to browse thru.. any random stuff you dont know what is i suggest putting in an @misc folder and as placebo says put them in say 10 at a time this should make it easier to find anything that maybe causing incompatibily problems if you keep track of what you added last i recomend using kegetys ofp launcher as you can just tick the boxes of which modfolders you want to load and it also allows you to set up the correct modfolders to automatically load when you join a MP server.. ...munks link was broke heres one that works official addons list -

I expect somebody had the same problem, and then expect him to tell me what had he done with that...Unfortunately the dates of the addons are when they were created by their authors, and not when i put them in addons folder...thats why i dont know the sequence of puting them in there. And I've alredy tryed to deactivate addons with OFPam (thanks CsonkaPityu) but thats just impossible to locate conflicting addon among one thousand... exactly why i said you should be using modfolders to organize your addons then you wouldn't be in this predicament in the first place sooner or later your going to have to sort thru them.... looks like it sorting time..so find a list of the default .pbo files that should be in your addons folder and get to work ...enjoy -

i'm pretty sure placebo already told you to remove all your addons and put them back a few at a time to see if the problem came back and you'd be able to locate the addon causing the problems easier knowing which addons you put in last...he already locked your thread for posting in the wrong place...he's going to have a fit when he sees you've done it again apparently without trying to help yourself... i mean what do you expect people here to do?...guess which of the 1000 or so random pbo files in your addon folder (that we have no idea what you have installed)is causing your problem... if you beleive that it is another addon causing incompatibilty conflict i suggest you try what placebo told you to do i'm pretty sure on this forum or on avon's FAQ there will be a list of the default pbo's you should have in your addons folder.. so hows about try that ?? ..........you should be using modfolders anyway to keep your addons organised.. -

Replacing Objects on Islands

you could edit the island in wrptool and replace all of that object type with a none shite tree that works properly its quiet easy with a couple of clicks to replace all objects of a certain type with your desired object type other option is to fix the offending object in o2 but both will require redistribution of the addon to those that need it -

Congrats to you. I put you in the readme if that's ok. About the sky. I wasn't sure because all that was done with a install.bat or whatever it is. I didn't want to foul up my nice sky. However if you guys say it works I'll do it to mine right away. it doesn't matter .. you only have to edit the install.bat if you wanna replace models in data3d.pbo you can just put the replacement textures in the newdata folder and reinstall your skymod it saves a whole load of hassle 1. in yer skymod folder delete the data folder(dont need to but just to be sure) 2. put these replacement textures in the newdata folder 3. run the install.bat 4. run your game with your skymod -mod=blahblahsky;

use paatool1.1 and turn off alpha filtering when converting the texture i had this same problem on some plants i made and paatool works wonders.. pm your email me if you need it cos i couldn't find version 1.1 anywhere all links dead and no mirrors
