is there any real point?? in suggesting anything for the development of AA....like i said earlier silly thread ... the games probably 99% done and only needs a publisher. i'd keep all your lovely suggestions for OFP2 as BIS may actually read thru them and take 1 or 2 of the nice ideas from them but i think you lot are just wasting your time suggesting stuff for AA which will just be a hopefully bugfree OFP with nicer soldiers and effects...

i agree if its a stand alone product i think the situation would be similar to il2 sturmovik scene where they have il2FB , il2ACES(exp.) and pacific fighters (stand alone) which can be played on its own or installed as part of a merged install to get the benefit all all 5 disks worth of game. the il2 comunity like ofp having a strong hardcore following, most of the servers online quickly changed to the merged install version and if you only had PF you'd be pretty hard pushed to find a decent game going online. i think this could be good for BIS as we(OFP'ers) would all get AA and if its stand alone any newcomers to OFP scene will probably at some point see the need to get the back catalogue their ovbviously backwards

well i think the onscreen text shoutld be a different colour the widescreen style black border should be 2mm thinnier IMHO each soldier should be given a small bottle of choclate milk at the start of a mission AT's should fire backwards and have a frontblast effect. and other such silly requests.. silly thread really

i voted dont care . i dont like the name, but what its called isn't gonna make any difference to the game itself .. i think it should be called Arse Assualt and freddy mercury and elton john could be in place of guba and lead the red army

It is too early to speak about the heads it is still WIP so they might change it for final release edit:also everything can be changed it is too early maybe they decide to make a 2D OFP2 like old games viewing only from side ofp2 the manic miner years :P now that would be something lol

i think ram and cpu have more impact on the amount of units you can have in a mission rather than a fancy gfx card

where you get the missions from ? some server admins edit missions so they wont work in cadet mode and as soon as you start they end and go to debriefing.

yer that kinda defeats the purpose of a dedicated server ... you would be better off just hosting in the normal manner unless your starting it on another machine if it is another machine try and set it up on the machine with the direct internet connection i have this set up but if i start a server from the computer that shares the connection IE. not the 1 directly connected to the net no one can see hosted games dedicated or not .

while not strictly proper "campaigns" check out "coin" and the dynamic mission alliance stuff like honcho's dynamic afghan thread basically a campaign in one mission thats never the same twice. while there are a few addons required for the afghan one it is worth it.i rarely play SP missions anymore but this is errr how you say "the dogs bollox of SP missions" and i'd love to see a wgl conversion i believe they have or are working on a template for people to make there own versions with the addons they want
