  2. Hi, you only use to lean IRL for: A) See where the NME is/are (leaning a sec). B) Do suppressive fire (to scare, not to kill). You're not suppossed to engage anything beyond 100m with a 5.56, inf you shoot to kill; lean to shoot is for the urban combat and CQB, basically... short or very short range where the ballistics doesn't matter that much. Is not accurate fire at +200m that then is when you really need to be accurate for be deadly effective, controling your fire, the weapon and body possition, the breathing etc.. on the short range (the 50-100m range) you use the fire volume as "the tactic" to be effective, is on CQB (house cleaning) where you need to be accurate and fast, without need that much fire volume (unless the SAW and that) and is on the Mid-Long range where you need to be surgically accurate to be effective and having the fire volume as cover for your aimed shots. Once said this... i can agree that the fire when leaning shouldn't be as accurate and deadly as the well aimed shots, they could do it IMO. Let's C ya

Hi, i think that booth ideas are great, but to pull or push the box it'll need specific animations (mo-cap), and about the squad.xml, what i would like is that it were stored on the player's computer, just in the same folder where you put your custom face, for example... and with another file extension than .paa; i think that .png and .gif will be better than .paa, as this would allow more players to have their own custom logo ingame without the need of be part of a klan and without be a too complex process. So in that way would be better for the players as the number of people who could add a bit of 'em to the game... will be higher and they'll feel that the game belongs more to 'em increasing the love for the game, in other words... "hook 'em good". Let's C ya

    How to change FOV the easy way

    Hi, i've seen this debate on the America's Army 3 forums before; this wider FOV is great for the situational awareness and on CQB, but on the open field is worst for spot as for IFF. I've a 4:5 19" screen, and while i can IFF sooner and better... my situational awareness just sucks; i think that this compensates the thing, but i preffer the wider FOV. Let's C ya

    Stencil shadows vs Shadow Maps

    Hi, the weapons, vehicles & units shadows were all stencil shadows on the ArmA & ArmA2, true low poly shadows... i would have preffered 'em to be as the rest of the shadows, they look much more natural and better IMO. Let's C ya

    I don't know how you'd get to that conclussion, IMO is the oppossite; the EU is on the hands of Neo-Cons, "Ronald Reagan's style..." most of the EU countrys have right wing presidents, not dirty socialists... (that aren't "that socialists...", if you ask me...) the Neo-Cons have 'em all something in common, they weaken the public sector at the expense of the citizens for venefit the private sector; where their friends are and where they gonna go once they leave the public sector, to proffit. Look at NY... they don't have public trash services, each building pay to a private company to get their trash taken each 3 days; instead have a (less expensive) public service that takes the trash each day. On my country this is begins to happen, and after three years or so... the trash service has increase it's price an 83% and when they had their trash picked up each day... now they have it taken each 3 days during the hot months and each 5 by the cold months. The citizen pay unable to change the thing and without complain very much while who rule there makes a favour to their friends and their friends greet 'em back; you pay their party, we!, pay their party. This is a typical Neo-Con way of think/work, change the feudal system from the hands of kings and elected govt into the hands or private companys and persons that you didn't vote for; but they're the beneficiarys of this "new system".

    ARMA 3 is so poor

    Yeah man, there's a gameplay video of Dislecxsyc or whatever that shows it with the Reflex like sight, not with the EO, and it's a game breaking thing; very important if you ask me. Isn't fixed on that sight model and there're other lighting issues that were there on the ArmA & ArmA2/OA that seem to be there and that won't be fixed for this game... . They've to fix many things and improve a lot more before i buy the ArmA3.

    Hi, i agree that the ArmA3 is very poor IMO at this times; i though that they had it more made at this point after the ArmA2 & OA, but i was wrong... for the videos and screenshots that i've seen until now, is not that poor for an Alpha IMO. The people that have the Alpha should inform BIS about the main problems of the game with alot of detail in the reports, at least screenshots; and over all... report about the game breaking bugs for let BIS fix 'em, as that bug about the Aimpoint like scopes, that the light sources coming from behind hit on the glass texture by night making 'em useless (as they become solid and not transparent) so you can't see through; it's easyer to see with NVGs and was already pressent on the ArmA, is there on the ArmA2 too and was there on the AO too, has never been fixed and still there on the ArmA3; it's one of my main reasons for don't buy the game.     For me the EU is not U, where's the union..!?, germeny rules as it's stronger piece while the rest of the countrys remain in silence sucking up what they "offer", no one has proppossed to advance into a true EU, where the countrys be something like provinces; if you tell the people to loose the soverany of what has "been being their territory" until now... what you think that they gonna say!? what would happen, with the leader that propposse this?!, what would our kings will say about it?!; is a very hard task. It's a very hard task to convince everyone else in the union, that the frenchs aren't all faggots, that "not all the germens are nazis..!", not all the spanish are lazys, not all the spag.. ITAlians are from the mafia, not all the rumanians are thiefs... how do you convince so many towbfolks, that this, isn't the reality?. That's the big problem, how do you convince so many ppl that their prejudices are not the truth?, and that we'll be better working all together instead fighting for and because things that are not the scientific thruth!?; is great to have an NME when you need it or think that you need it, is someone ot something where overturn your angryness over. How do you fight that (in mass, not on your personal circle) to begin to build a solid and strong European Union?.

    Syria - What should we do if anything?

    I think that what should be made is to help to defeat those so called "rebels", they're nothing but islamo-faszists and should be exterminated. There're other "conventional" methods of defeat a dictatorial regime as the sirian regime that don't require to use islamo-faszists; they should have had learnt the lesson from when they'd overthrow the persian Sha in Iran, the thing is what they want. A better (friendly) country...?, or a bigger (another) enemy country?, seems that they're suming NME countrys as a common front, a bigger NME... more radical islamist countrys (islamo-faszists) 'em all ruled by the shariah and working as a whole to put the capitalist world on it's knees. This is all my opinion, but i think that what we never should do, is... to help our enemys; someone who wants to apply the shariah, in my country, in your country or anywhere else is my enemy and enemy of all what's good. We should exterminate those so called "rebels".

    Hi, you should have made a poll with this question. I would want an easyer editor, i would say more...! i want a 3D editor; BIS announced some time ago that they were workin' on a strategy game, something like an X-COM but with military thematic and ArmA models, that could be a really good 3D editor.     Any chance for default melee weapons?

    Hi, i only see the melee attacks useful in CQB situations, when you enter in a room and collide with an NME unit, then i see it useful; to push him/her away and then gun it down. It's the only situation where i see it useful and where i miss it; i'd never missed any melee attack than that one (hit to push away an NME to then shoot him/her), on the OFP, on the ArmA, the ArmA:QG, the ArmA2 and the dirty ArmA2:OA.     Stealth needs a buff

    It isn't. On the ArmA2 the AI was able of see through most buildings, the fat trees, empty vehicles as APCs or MBTs, destroyed ones or alive ones (with manning crew on 'em); also on dense forests and land accurate shots through a 2cm hole on a bush, always after that you'd shoot at least a round. This is my experience with the ArmA2 without mods that change the AI dinamics, i'd always used textures and models replacements or mods to remove the blur and all that dirty glow "ala BF series" or worst; i'd used an AI mod once that made 'em to not shoot RPGs on infantry, but i'd removed it as the AI didn't just fire the RPGs on vehicles that were linked to INFantry, but the dafault AI...!? was able to see and track you through solid objects at least for the player; is/was clear playing on Player+AI PvP missions, my AIs were singing the NME possitions all the time very accurately so was the AIs on the OPFOR, booth side were trusting on their respective AIs to put down targets and did work; like that... many more times.     Low-Ready Position

    Hi, to walk crouched (as on alert) you rest your AR on your shoulder have it pointing down front "if you spect company" or down left if you youst have to crouch for pass by some place, like two threes... a hole on fence and things like that.. the "low-ready" is AFAIK with the stock on the shoulder and the AR pointing forward and downwards like 3 inches.     Hi, that will be great, but how to add it?, defining the breakable parts on the model as a selection and then a couple of memory points?, one or more to produce sparks and other or others to produce smoke or even different colour smoke?; the problem of everything is how to add it into the game for make it work.     Stealth needs a buff

    Hi, on the ArmA2 the AI was able of know exactly, where you were and track you, behind 'live' or empty vehicles, objects as walls and buildings and even behind hills without any kind of air support or drone of their side on the air. I doubt that they've changed really that much the AI on this field, as they would have had to re-write from zero the AI detection routines to fix this sensible field; i don't think that this thing ever get properly fixed to make the AI react close enough to how trained soldiers would react, to contacts or to suspected contacts.     Breaching

    Hi, the doors breaching is very used by the military, on surprise raids and also on suspect houses; to have a quick access with surprise for the possible targets inside. I think that would be possible with this engine, but would require a entirely re-model of every breachable house or building and that's what i don't see happening. Let's C ya
  20. - Micro islands with big citys, airports or bases. In that way you could make heavy scripted missions with alot of AIs and vehicles/objects without have a huge impact on the game's performance.

    Any chance for default melee weapons?

    What i see wrong on that, is that when you're guarding something... a building, a tank, or a static possition... you're not chating with your squad mates every minute; you can be in silence for more than 10 or 15mins, usually during all the guard unless you see some contact or something weird. Guarding perimeters is another thing, but works pretty much the same and you're not in visual contact with the rest of the guard, you only use the radio if you reach the contact point and the other squad mate isn't there or is not at visual contact; so i think that when the units are guarding something as a depot... a hangar or something and are not at visual contact, it should take much more for 'em to enter into Danger or Aware behaviour, like 3 or 5mins as much (for gaming pourpouses) instead be instant or almost instant, that would be more realistic and better in gaming therms IMO. Also... the units should react entering into Danger behaviour when they see a dead unit of their side on a complex, base or village; and into Aware behaviour when they see it on the open ground, like a wood or a field; into Danger or even Stealth if they see it on a road. But the insta-Know where you're after a unit on a squad is killed is entirely wrong and screws alot of the missions that could require a bit of silence before start a shots salad.

    Hi, if im not wrong... you can't do any stealth kill on this engine. If the unit to kill is linked to a group/squad the rest of the group/squad would know that that unit is dead and would begin to scan for targets if they don't actualy know "by the God's grace..." where you're exactly. The stealth kills don't worry me other than the ranged ones, IMO the stealth melee kills should be a neck break movement and that's all and not a Green Verets (the infamous John Wayne movie) neck stabbing, doing it rougly would make alot of noise, over all by night or inside houses. They should increase the time that takes for the other squad members to know that they'd lost one, at least... on units that don't have a radio... , to have something close to stealth kills. The Basic Infantry Combat (rifle) movements are more practical or prioritary to me. Let's C ya

    Hi, IMO the only viable Melee Combat would be the Basic Combat Instruction rifle attacks, set a perimeter arround the (performer) unit, when an NME is at that perimeter... you click LMB and you perform 1 of the 3 possible movements (if you don't have a bayonet on the AR) that are: - Rifle Stock Lateral Strike. - Rifle Stock Upside Strike. - Rifle Stock Downwards Strike. * Front Attack (that could be deadly if not attended by a Corpsman) With a Bayonet. The 1St three ones could/should drop the NME to the ground, giving you time to fire at him/her point blank while it's on the ground; the same happens with the bayonet strike, but even if you miss the target and he/she shoots you back killing you, he/she would need medical asistance anyways; if you do it well IRL (as you should) the target would die anyways even if you stab him/her on the operating room table. But as this is a game... we should give those FNG AIs and players the chance to play a bit more and die somewhere else. Let's C ya *Edit: With a pistol the best that you can do is kick the target to push him/her away and then shoot the target, or... hit him/her hard with the pistol downside or grip's butt on the neck, to break the target's pharynx or on the aorta artery, and then put lead enough on him/her while still on the ground or away as to stop a train; the simple method use to be the good one.
  24. Hi, this sounds great; what we all wanted to see since the OFP:R. That the Sniper and Adv. Marksman role on the squad be at the height of the rank, marking the difference between "The Good, The Bad & The Uggly". This script/addon sounds to me as A Must Have and a good step on the good direction, the reality; my only complain about it is that is an addon and not part of the game 'per se', so it would be hard to see it working on public servers, letting away the lone players and those who're not part of a klan; that's my only complain about it, that this something that the game Should Have. Let's C ya

    steady aim

    Hi, the aim/sway on the ArmA3 looks good enough to me, we should see how it works with rapid consecutive single shots, burst and consecutive quick bursts and also full auto; we should see it on scoped views as with an ACOG or on a more magnified optic, for an Aimpoint or a Reflex like sight looks ok to me for this kind of game.
