Hi, right; is an ArmA mod; is that i haven't drinked enought coffee yet, so im still slow. I hope that we see this kind of mods that add realism into the weapons systems and that add too the same scripts for the infantry that the USMC Addon 1.0 brought to the OFP in it's day. That kind of things and what BAS did with the infantry, will be a great boost to the gameplay and then we'll just need more efficent bug cleaning, improved performance and in the spanish version... a proper translation instead a babel fish translation; a.k.a. CTRL+C CTRL+V. Let's C ya -

Hi, i think that that's the VBS2, but i just base this on how that targeting/weapon system, in the VBS2 you can (or must) use in a more realistic way, the weapons systems of the vehicles; which is a great thing; but i doubt that no one has made this for the ArmA. Let's C ya -
Hi, a sugestion could be an A-10 with the 1991/93 Euro camo & a coment... could be that BIS haven't rleased the 1.07 in the EU, so i can't or the rest of europe can't play with this addon yet. Let's C ya

Hi, my main disapointment with the ArmA, is the performance and the translation (spanish version) that just both suck. *Heatseeker Said: Well... i had no bad performance in the OFP until the DXLL 1.0 by Kegetys was released, plus the USMC Mod stuff, "my own" M4's pack, and some other Mods or Addons like the Laser's De/Ra, the HYK Infantry, the DSL A10 1.2 and things like that; all High-Res (over all my M4's). I had an AMD at 1400mhz by that time and belive me, the OFP(RES) without addons or only with the ECP 1.085, never went below the 14fps, never. The ArmA, without addons... use to run at like 20 to 28fps in open spaces with the grass, but when you aim, then the fps drop down to 14fps or even 10fps (depending on the weapon) that's a drop down that makes the game unplayable, now sume there the constant LOD switching bug (in my 1.05EU), convine that with the pointless recoil (inverted in the AR's), the amazing dispersion of the bullets at mid ranges, is that to simulate that the weapons have the barrels banked?, melted?, turned?, plain? or what!?, because i don't get it; and i could continue with the list of things againist the nature laws, againist the logic and againist the way of work of many things in this game. Hi, i guess that's imposible for users that aren't part of a clan or that don't have a URL where upload they're custom arm patch, to store and use a image in they're HD, right?. The file must be a .paa or it could also be a .jpg, a .gif, or a .png ?. Let's C ya

Hi, the V-grips can be made in 3D, but the soldiers will not use 'em because BIS dont made the animations of hold 'em properly; they didn't even made the right animations for hold a weapon with a grenade launcher attached, or just bull-up weapons, F1/F2 Famas, L85 A1/A2, L86, Zastava M23... bla, bla, bla... and the only way of simulate the upgrade in the shothing habilitys of the unit, will be via config; reducing the dispersion and the recoil in that certain weapon. For this i think that you'll also need a specific magazine for that weapon; but anyway, the animation to hold a weapon, have a name; you can't have 2 animations recalled in the 3D model and make 'em work, i think. Hi, the dirt and scratches on the tanks (and on the choppers) don't annoys me that much, what really annoys me is the fault of zoom in the tank commander optics; that makes the commander almost blind vs the on foot infantry, and... that's very bad. Let's c ya

Hi, the last object is not the only one that gives me a CTD running on the 1.05 EU; at least other two objects makes my computer crash to desktop and there's a house that asks for a missing .paa texture or a script, i don't remember, is one of those with arcs that in the OFP(RES) we used/it was used as a kind of police station building; mostly white and in L form. Hi, for make the AI's use your same custom face in SP, will be just writing the next line into the unit INIT BOX: "this setface "custom";" But i fear that in MP... each player will see it's own custom face in case of have it... and if he haven't any custom face, then he'll get back an error message (but im not sure on this last thing). One thing is sure... the other players will not see the AI's as you see 'em, they'll see 'em with they're own custom face, so every player will see a diferent face in the AI's than you. Let's C ya

There isn't a way of translate the objects names to the english so we could know what we're placing in the map, instead but the object and then enter in the editor, look & choose the next one and like that until find what we need?. Hi, to use this faces or any other custom face you've to download the face tou your Hard Drive and save it inside your: "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My documents\ArmA" and there, save the face texture as: face.jpg . run the game... and have fun. Let's C ya

Hi, good job there, Broken; if i ever get killed by that piece of rotten meat, or if i see it in my squad... i'll know for sure that's you; i never seen anyone using an olds man custom face other than Guba. But the face looks well adapted, a bit weird arround the nose... but that's a very well done custom face, in my opinion. Let's C ya P.S: Someone has noticed that the ArmA face no28 is the Samuel L. Jackson's face?; has BIS paid him for use his face/image in a game...?? or they're thiefs like me...?? >>;-)

Hi, well Puma, that should be easy, just place the goggles over the face, resized to how they'll really be; then select the glass area that's right over the skin (ONLY, over the skin, not over the internal side of the goggles) paste the layers and done. But i think that you'll look like as a damn mutant from outer space or from Ibiza with that over the face; if i were you... i'll keep waiting for the 3D tools to make the units raise & lower the goggles as BAS did in the OFP and many others after that they did it for 1St time. I've made another custom face, this time is for the Body Count fans out there, "themed" on they're great 1St LP, the Cop Killer; banned in the U.S. "thanks" to the PMRC & Tipper Gore among others. Hi, i think that the Kb limit, is 96.something Kb; at least... that was what placebo said in it's day, when he released an ArmA face in .jpg at a res of 1024x1024 . Is true that there're some public servers that impose a limit in the custom files, in my opinion (concerning to the custom faces) that's a pointless restriction that forces us to renounce to the quality that you could add to your desired custom face. Impose a Kb limit or just don't allow those stupid custom sounds that some players use, is not a bad idea; most of the players that i've seen using 'em, used 'em to annoy other players and just to show how stupid a kid can be; but impose a Kb's limit in the textures, is force the players to renounce to customize they're game or to the quality and detail in a texture. This last two things are a crime in my opinion. Let's C ya

Hi, 0.5m could be a good or adecuate deactivation radious for the Special Forces and engineers, 0.4 or 0.5m, to reflect they're more intensive trained in this field; 0.15m or 0.30m will be a good radious in my opinion for make the mine deactivation icon, or the message in the actions menu, spawn; so the basic infantry should walk more carefull if they don't want to blow up. Also add various mines formations, to surround a possition, to cover some wall or things like that; but this last supose isn't really needed because the ArmA units fear/can't climb a 50cm "wall". Hi, could be a good idea to allow the G.I. (General Infantry) to deactivate the mines one by one once the mines presence be detected by the squad; all the soldiers receive classes of how to deactivate basic and/or common mines classes what have a fuse as starter. Just reducing the distance at which the soldier could detect the mine and deactivate it. I haven't try this mines, but if this haven't been added already, i think that may be a good idea that could also add some more possibilites to MP if they work well in MP. Let's C ya

Hi, well Jahve... some people have complained about the same weird thing to me, here... and in other forums; seems that some ATI users have this problem or they don't see the face at all. It also may be your monitor settings; when i choose a colour for make the camo, on the RGB 8 colour profile of the Photoshop 9.0 CS, i choose a really dark tone, in fact, almost black for the brown and some greens too, but then when i begin to paint, it's like 3 times more clear than the colour that i've selected. So that could be a reason, but ain't got any clue really, sorry man. Let's C ya

Hi, fastrope, working MFD's, IR goggles, flares & chaff, propper damage models, Special Forces without anything special... and over all;the bad performance of the game, is part of what makes the game much more bad than how it could be. Don't have much sense to "simulate" the modern warfare without the current methods of war that the industrialized countrys use. Don't ask me why... but when i bought the game, i though that it'll come with all those pimp things that the addon makers and addon studios added during the years, to the OFP; an example: The USMC Addon 1.0 by E&S scripts in they're units, blackouts and things like that; the flares...!! like in the BAS choppers and others, the spitting of empty shells by the tanks cannons and the different machineguns and weapons systems; without all those pimp things, this game looks like that it's on panties.
